Well, I think you have been lucky. I was heading down Warrigal Rd (at the entrance to chaddy shopping center) - At the lights on the other side, there was a cop car. But here is the strange thing. The fool in the commodore next to us - had his passengers carrying lighted candles, he was changing lanes without indicators and he even ran the red light right in front of the cops. But as soon as the lights turned green, the cops gave us a long hard look. (this was the same night that the cops were following me down stephensons rd) Maybe they were looking to see if I was gonna thrash it off the lights? Maybe they have never seen a sexier car like the skyline before But there are 3 things that I experienced once I purchased the car back in Feb. 1) Cops have their eyes on it when it goes past 2) Idiots in lasers and barinas try to race me 3) Women keep eyeing it. Its only a matter of time before I experience the 4th - and that is being stopped for a random check.

hmmm - here on the east side, all i see is cop cars everywhere on friday and sat nights - its quite amazing. Had one follow me for a bit up stephensons rd in mount waverley. I was about to speed up, cos he was getting close real fast - but thank god i slowed down - it was a holden commo divy van. They do anything to make you speed - so stick to your speed limit no matter what.

hmm - i had mine at the red line at one stage - but the light did not go on. Does this mean, even after the red line there is 10-15 ltrs left? If so, thats soooo cool man....

jeez- whats this world coming too. its a shame that it wasnt insured - good luck finding it though.

I got 2 cars - a 1982 civic (for taking to the train station when i go to uni) - does about 400 per tank (40ltr tank). The skyline - takes a bit more petrol - about 7-8 klms per ltr (roughly 420klms per tank). But then again thats what you get for getting a performance car. Full tank of ultimate costs me about $60. Usually drive it in moderation - turbo hardly used - except after a long day studying . If you are worried about petrol - get a vtec yo!!!!

arent the s3 r33 lights glass? Or perhaps the pics I saw of them were just extremely clean for head lights.

I think if you go with j-spec, you have the final word on everything. So lets say if you want to ship it via your friend, then they will allow that - but its at your risk (if you know what i mean). Some compliancers are dodgey - where are you located - the guys and girls here maybe able to help you out by directing you to reputable compliancers. Some parts they have to be destroyed (god only knows why), but usually you will be told this and you will have to make up your mind as to whether or not you want the parts or not. For compliancing purposes, it has to be stock (from what i know) - then after that you can re-attach the parts). What I would do is go to someone who knows their cars (j-spec certainly woudl know), and then talk to them about it, get to know what kinda cars they look for, see any customer cars if there is any (even pics or if its ok with the customers you can go and check the cars out as they are being complianced).

i had some guy in a soarer trying to instigate a drag (down here in melbourne). Lights turned green, he did a bit of a wheel spin, and took off. I just carried on about my business as per usual. Dont see the point in risking it. In fact, the worst i have done is testing out the turbo on the freeway entry ramp (which in itself was done when there were no other cars near me).

jeez man, if it was me that got ripped off, id be out hunting this fool down. It reminds me of this guy that i used to know, he used women for sex and money, used my friends for money - terrible - these people should be locked up

hmm, i havent had a problem with my warranty company. But then again the water pump was just a small thing. Id try and get them to pay up again, if not then consumer affairs.

That last link from the beer baron is such a sad clip. I read that he was going to, after that race, speak to the officials about making the sport safer.....really sad that he didnt get a chance. RIP Senna, RIP Ratzenberger (who also died on the same weekend - but during practice)

This happens at chadstone shopping center all the time. The roundabout in front of myer - many people use the right lane, and go straight ahead. As a result, I always go around the back way - safer for my car. Dont want some stupid ass hit me on the side, then play the blame game that because I drive an import i dont know how to drive.

what i dont understand is, that it says that my suburb (Mt Waverley) is a very low-risk, but just a few streets away (Glen Waverley) is a very high risk.....

Hi Guys, My baby is getting wierder and wierder. For the most she drives well, but last night whilst coming back from work something strange happened. The engine was warmed up - i let it warm up for a good 7 minutes before i started driving. But when the lights turned green, I tried to take off (not pushing her hard, but not soft either), and it started to vibrate. Almost felt as if it was the clutch/drive line that was not engaging. Alternatively, it could be the brakes, because I had this problem in my old accord. Any Idea what It could be? It only happend that once last nite, but I do recall it happening before - just that it wasnt as bad as last night. The other thing is, my rear indicators are condensing, and leaking like anything. I have ordered new lights from japan - but thats only for the left rear - as there was a crack. The right side is leaking too and I dont know from where. What can I do about this? In addition to this - water seems to leak into the trunk too. Again, I am not sure where this is leaking from - but its worrying as the last thing I want is rust. I need some advice as to what I can do. I can take it to the dealer, but I was thinking of doing all that, when I go to get my lights. Should I wait till then, or should I go asap? Thanks guys!

hey fellas, thanx for the info. I will be putting in a pod filter first i think, followed by a 2nd hand cat back exhaust and finally a second hand intercooler. (just need the money first) The other thing is - is it worthwhile investing in a non-famous turbo timer? (i.e one other than a blitz, hks, apexi etc)?

Hi guys, As the title says - what mods should I put on to my s2? I was thinking of starting with a pod filter/panel filter, then going to an exhaust upgrade, and finally to an intercooler. Obviously I want to start it off cheap first. Any thing that you guys and girls recommend? Basically, I want to do the light mods first to raise the power up. I have read that these 3 will increase it to about 170-180 rwkws. with regards to the filter - does it matter if its a pod or a panel? Thanks in advance for the advice. M

as per usual, wayne and jarrod from GTAuto did a fantastic job - the car is back in the garage, and she drives fantastic! They also changed the timing belt too. The water pump was covered by the warranty and I paid 100 for the timing belt! WOOHOO!! I GOT THE CAR BACK!!!!

Try Mark or Peter at SSV - they might have a good list of mechanics. I was gonna also recommend talking to GTAuto - but they specialise in skylines, delicas and chasers. Well since they do chasers, they might know a thing or 2 about toyotas - so you can ask them too.

Well, took it to GTAuto today, and it seems that the leak is coming from the water pump. So Wayne and Jarod are gonna take care of that for me. But for now, Im driving a 1989 Benz 260E - boy i miss my skyline.... Oh well, she should be back by wednesday or thursday
