You lucky lucky man! I was wondering who this jovial fellow was - he was talking more than the presenter himself! Then i saw this thread, and issue 38 of HPI - and Im like damn - that lucky bugger!! 26k - that could have soo helped me put some much needed mods on my r33 gtst....
Congrats anyway bro
lmao! Yeah sorry, I didnt quite know how to word it, cos I had 2 questions to ask. But thanks for the info guys
I have been keeping tabs on it, the line in the coolant reservoir (next to the windscreen washer tank) has been decreasing - thats what lead my dad to believe that its a leak in the coolant piping. The Aircon work as just done before - a couple of weeks after i bought the car - but I havent been using the aircon much. Anyway, I will talk to Wayne and see if he can have a look at it for me.
Hi All,
Just got a couple of questions regarding the car.
1) When you are driving the manual, do you slow down using the gears and the brakes, or do you just use the brakes?
2) Also, there is a small leakage under the car - it feels like water/oil sorta mix - dad thinks it could be the coolant piping. Is this a major concern - or can I wait for another 2 or 3 weeks before i take it to the dealer(im getting some new lights for the car in about 3 weeks from japan - and the dealer is taking care of that)?
thanx all
You lucky SOB! ahhaha - enjoy man, we are awaiting your photos! Though I must say, at flinders street station today, saw 3 hot f1 chics. Tight red dresses, showing more flesh as well as what they were wearing underneath. Damn I love f1.....
I tend to stay away from clubs. I hate to be in the thick of things when some drunken idiot comes and picks on me and my friends. Plus id rather be cruisin around rather than dancing in some place filled with people who are sweating soo much that they solve melbournes water crisis....
Well its a personal choice. But i heard that there was a gang fight near crown, some dude got stabbed and he died. His friend is in hospital in critical condition. Dont know if thats linked to chasers or not. The law is very lenient on these kinda people, they need to revert back to the old days when punishment was more severe
Well, im both monash and RMIT - did undergrad @ monash, and doing masters in rmit. Must admit that I never looked into joining the monash club. What happens in these clubs anyway?
Dayne is right - the price they have is just an indicator. My r33, was there for 22,000 - i got it for 16,500 + orc - so came to about 17,500. If its got problems, make sure u know a good mechanic, get the car for cheap and fix it yourself.
Hmm, exactly where is the fuel light on the dash? I think my light might not be working, as today I went below the empty line, and there was nothing.....
jackasses - now the cops will be on the lookout for anyone driving a jap import......
But i also heard something like, if the cops dont have any proof of the incidents, they will not follow it up.
Hey buddy,
sorry to hear about your car getting stolen - whats the number plates? I live in the east/south eastern region - i will keep an eye out for it. Did you contact the police?
My best figures were about 300klms from half a tank (bp ultimate)
Im still doing my full tank - so far in half a tank i have done something like 200klms - thats using occasional boost (optimax)
well, my car is gonna be locked up from now on (specially when i go to work or to uni) - going to take my mums car to work (then after she gets back from her holidays gonna get her to drop me off), and gonna walk to the train station after she gets back. Though tis just a car - its too much of a risk for me. Working 6 years, handling shitty customers at myer - I think i'd lose it if some punk comes and wrecks my car.
Those pics are soo painful to look at.
But that damage, can easily be repaired by any dent specialists. The paint and all that is a different story all together. If I may take a stab at this - it would cost you no more than $150 - $200, to fix the dents. I used dent maestro (but thats here in vic) - www.dentmaestro.com.au. These guys dont remove panels, or repaint etc - they just bring it back to the original shape.
Check around in perth and see if you can get anyone that specialises with dent repair.
as i put on one of the posts above -> its a Starbo RS-1500
Its all in japanese - and I have no idea what the 12v/ign/acc is......
the only way I will find out i guess, is after i get back from a long drive.. and see how it goes - or I can post a pic of the turbo timer up tommorrow....
thans for the reply nate - its just that I went to get pizza (about 4-5 mins from my house) - I stop the car and it was on for 2 mins - so i was just thinking -thats a bit excessive....
Ok, guys - i got the turbo timer running - but even when I am driving normally (lets say for about 10 minutes), and after i get back home, turn off the engine - it keeps running for about 2 minutes. Is this normal? or have I actually got a faulty turbo timer?
If this is indeed faulty - whats the best turbo timer to get. I was told the Apexi turbo timers are excellent, and cost about $120 to buy.
Thanks in advance.
