  1. this guy is scaring me... Skylines come with engines too man...
  2. its quite possibly the simplest thing you can do... i mean, the packs come with everything... and theres even a small 'lip' of sheet metal on each side of the car to drill holes and screw in the holders... then wiring... thats just wiring... put the switch on the negative line to break the circuit... really... it shouldnt even need to be asked... im assuming you didnt even look...
  3. ITZ MAD INDUCTION NOIZE Y0! learn to love it
  4. well, your welcome we do our best good luck mate!
  5. the fuse for the factory radio is i believe near your right knee when your sitting in the drivers seat... there a fuse for the cluster in the engine bay, so it might be in there... ive never actually had to replace a fuse strangely enough :s but yeah, grab your own ground somewhere, its easy as... and find that positive thats grounding...
  6. the sensors crack or some shit... dont know much about this, but if the airbag is part of the normal car comp, take the NEG- wire off the battery and pump the brakes a few times... that will kill any power in the car and reset the computer... but im pretty certain you need new sensors or some shit like that... dont really know anything else about it... sorry...
  7. top work mate
  8. thats pretty sus man... the hardest cars to wire up are normally corollas, cause they like to change the colour of the wires and be unique... last corolla i put a HU in, the 12V+ was pink, ground was yellow and the ACC wire was grey... the REALLY stupid thing is, for the rear speakers they used red (12V ACC) Black (ground) brown (also ground in a lot of cars) and yellow with a red stripe (12V+)... confused the hell outta me... i was shocked... either way... your mate sounds like he needs to go back to audio school you are earthing a wire somewhere...
  9. good stuff should have 2 new facias in my hands this week, gunna do some shit to both of em... if they both work out, ill probably sell one of em...
  10. didnt you want like 80 gajillion dollars or something? its a nice car, but for a damaged vehicle, a bit pricey... anyway, should hopefully have my 2 new facias here by wednesday, then ill go pick em up and get to work on em
  11. sounds like you shouldn't let friends that have no clue what they're doing rip your shit apart... but yeah, skylines are an easy install, so far only beaten by my previous car, 78 honda prelude... mostly cause there was no spot for a head unit, so i got a holder and bolted it on, tucked wires up... If this guy cant do this right, i suggest taking his tools off him... good luck with fixing it
  12. I sorta have the same thing... it comes on when i start the car and turns off about 20 secs later... im starting to think it has something to do with my alarm, cause that bastard is tapped into everything... other then that, i dunno... it doesnt seem to cause a problem... but if i crash and it doesn't go off, i will not be very happy... or alive... so yeah, anyone with info...?
  13. 1. Go back to your stock bov 2. Get a plumb back bov 3. Get a tune your atmo bov will be releasing a lot of air into the atmosphere, yet your air flow comp will read it as being in the system, so the fuel will be added as if there is that amount of air in there... but its not... any of the 3 will fix this problem... normally an atmo bov wont cause it to completely die at idle, it does create idling and gear changing problems, but not normall this bad... which is why i said get a tune.. anyway, hope one of those fixes it for you
  14. you dont get points for it if you say what it was after the guy said it... And i would probably check the voltage on your battery too... they weren't designed to take that kind of punishment... you may very well need a new one... i would recommend Delkor... lovely batteries anyway, good luck with it mate
  15. what he said, knock out 100 and less and it should handle a lot better... have a sub do up to the 120's, that will take a lot of load off the speakers, reduce heat and give a clearer sharper note... having the 20 hertz crossing over will fill in whatever gap you may have... this is assuming you have the ability to do that, and have a single (decent) 12 inch sub...
  16. Anyone spot my car around the thronleigh area last night doing anything naughty? i loaned it to a mate of my brothers... just so happened to be the same mate that crashed my brothers car... was shitting myself all night... in all actualality, i said he could drive it down to my place (he lives half way up the road) not to indoor soccer...
  17. all in good time my friend ill call up tomorrow and see if he has managed to source 2 facias...
  18. yeah what were you guys doin that night? were you heading off somewhere are you serious...? Dr Doof... white 33... nice to meet ya saw the R34 GTR with the plares GTR PWR yesterday after i got stabbed in the face in Parra...
  19. WOOO FRIDAY BITCHES! gettin stabbed in the face tomorrow
  20. should probably get pics of the work ive done to it... but im not that sorta person really...
  21. doubt i will enter... wil probably be half way through the boot install at that time you gunna have a DB drag though? i would love to have a whack at that
  22. man come on... get a new battery... if your jumping it, then your obviously using the other batteries power, not yours... your battery is f**ked, the cells in it are dead, they can no longer hold a decent charge... that or the alternator isnt charging it... try a new battery first cause its cheaper... if theres a loose wire on the laternator somewhere, and your battery is f**ked, as a malfunction alternator will do, then that would explain what just happened... you can run your car on next to nothing if the alternator is running... so if it came back while you were driving, it would have supplied power to everything... i would get it checked out by a friend in the know... it may just be a shit earth wire, where a shop you dont know will charge you $180 bucks or some shit to replace... when a mate will do it for a beer
  23. stop being such a warrior CORRINE
  24. yeah i can admit, a V8 sounds like a monster not ot mention theres just simply more potential in them as far as power goes... you will find most skyline owners are fans of good workmanship, motoring and engineering... its not always turbos vs V8's... its just the two sides get very defensive as you would probably know... you've been on both sides Dural hey... so youve got a million long windy roads at your disposal?
  25. welcome man you should learn that work and SAU co-inside with each other... also, you should have signed up yesterday, we have weekly group gatherings on thursdays what would you say you prefer? this turbo 6 or a V8?
