I asked as I do not have a Helmet the correct size for her to be used in a car. But the 'Kids' session is behind a pace car at 100kmh max I believe, so not much can go wrong really.

And do the Kids need Helmets? Sorry for all the questions, but I promised her she will be going out on the track!

And does the passenger cost of $25 apply to kids?

LOL at the coppers dynoing cars to check for power. I had an argument with a Police officer about the power to weight crap whilst I was in an apprentices Bommodore. Now as I worked for holden at the time, I had the official Holden weight of a VS series 1 ss with the options this car was fitted with at 1610 KGS. The coppers paper work said the car weighed 1300 KGS. The Police use unladen figures, which is a car with no fluids at all, no accessories, and in the case of the VS Commodore, of a Manual Non AC V6 Executive, and not the actual weight of the car being driven which was a fully optioned V8 Automatic barge. Either way, I am an old prick so the rules wont affect me, but seriously, can you imagine it. Cop pulls over some 18 year old in an old 120y. COP; I believe this vehicle is banned from being driven on your probationary license. P-PLATER; Why? COP; It has an open air filter allowing an extra .025kw increase.

As for tierod ends, I stupidly straightned out the R31 tie rod ends and used Nylock nuts for a few drift events but have a heap of play now in the tie rod end. I have a pair of S13 tie rod ends and I am getting some spacers made up as in the photo attatched that I stole from the R31 forums. Alternatively, if your car runs the Jap rack (the rack that is not a TRW rack), S13 tie rods and rod end assemblys will go straight into the R31 rack meaning no dramas at all. I think Early series 1 had the jap rack.

Fitting coilovers are no drama to an R31. To fit the Teins into my wifes R31 we used the S13 knuckles and coilover assembly on the R31 LCA. The R31 lower ball joint is a perfect fit for the S13 knuckle, this way the wheel does not hit the wheel arch as it would with the S13 LCA. Modding the R31 strut is a nother way of doing a coilover, but the cost of decent shock inserts alone is more than a set of good second hand S13 coilovers, and by decent, I mean adjustable Koni or Bilstiens. Aussie R31 struts are useless for decent brakes as nothing is a direct fit and proper hubs to mount R32 onwards disks are almost impossible to find these days and cutting up a stock disk is not a real good way of making a hub. The availability of brake options are endless for the S13 knuckle, and using as many standard parts as possible means replacements are easy to find if you break something.

Did this car have the 4 piston front calipers? If so do you have any Front Disks 280mm diamater?

Cop cars DO NOT run different engine managment AT ALL. As working in holden for quite some time, I can say the only differences to the Commodores (in case of the executive here) an LSD diff, wider wheels and rubber, better suspension, and engine bash guard and a better alternator. All the SS's get is the bigger alternator. And there are no 'chips' and more, it is now all flash tune.

All that legal jargon confuses me, they need a translater. If there is an online translater to convert Japanese to english, sure there can be a translater to convert legal jargon to regular english?

Just so you all know.....as taken from NS.com.... "65A. Improper use of motor vehicle (1) A person must not drive a motor vehicle in a manner which causes the motor vehicle to undergo loss of traction by one or more of the motor vehicle's wheels. Penalty: 5 penalty units." You will note that there is no mention of "highway" in this offence. Which means the offence occurs ANYWHERE. Yes, that's right...even if you were doing circle-work in the back paddock of a farm in the middle of nowhere, entirely on private property, you would still commit the offence. Also, the organisers of Drag Tag do NOT have permits for the burnouts and drifting that goes on in the 'skid pan' there. So if the cop wanted to be a smart ass, any person taking part in the driving events can be charged and have their car impounded.

Kei Office coilovers to suit S13. Easy conversion into R31. These has less than 20,000 kms when pulled out of S13. Were perfect, no noise or leaks. I never got around to fitting into my car. SOLD! It was in the car for about 4 months, was only used a few times as the car is not daily driven and then decided weight saving was the way to go! this is like new, somes in a sealed box with a grille to protect it from damage. The sub was $220 new and box was $100. Selling for $150 the lot. Universal seat rails, brand new, they dont fit any car in particular, but can be adapted to fit anything. There is a pair of rails. (2 seats worth) only 1 set in photo. $50 the lot. A set of Fully sick Chrome Auto pedal covers. Universal fit. Used. take em away $5.00 High energy sump, was made for an Rb26 into an R31. Will fit into VL, S13, R32/33 with an Rb26. Will bolt to all RB engines, but pickup may need work to fit other engines. It is the track spec baffled trap door sump. Looks better in person than in pics as pics were taken when it was dirty. Holds 7l of oil. Cost me over $750 new in a group buy. Selling for $300. All parts in Ringwood area. Will prefer not to post. Prices are firm.
