rb30et is a piece of cake and gets quite good figures. As for brakes, I run R33 gts-t 4 pots, tt300zx slotted rotors and custom pads. I used to regularly do track sprints with a 170rwkw rb30t on stock sized brakes with EBC green stuff pads and xdrilled rotors all round, they did a pretty good job for what they were on the track.....but a spirited down hill drive through the mountains left em worse for wear!

If you can understand Japanese, or have a translation program, somewhere in the R31House.co.jp site there are some pics of an R31 with LED tail lamps. They look exactally like the standard tail lamps, but once lit up the LED's look awesome. Unfortunatly, their site has changed, and with me being unable to read japanese I have no idea what I am looking at. **EDIT** I found a pic.....not the best but all I can find!

just bolt on the exhaust manifold, t03, oil and water lines for the turbo and injectors from a VLT...all a front mount cooler and a VLt ecu and on premium ulp you can run around 14 psi with no worries. There is no need for a decomp plate as NA rb30 uses same compression standard as an Rb25det.

Here is the final Diagram of how I had wired up the power circuit to the ECU. This gives the nesescarry delay on key off for memory to be saved. I hope this diagram helps anyone else out......

WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Yes.....I am high on exhaust fumes......and yes I have done it. It looked like the power to the ECCS and COIL relays (it is an RB26) were taken from the ignition on position, which once the key was turned off the whole lot instantly shut down. So after a couple of hours of head scratching and tracing wires and back probing terminals, it looks sorted. The ECU takes about 1 sec to turn off after key is switched off. All my changes are being stored and things are lookin dandy!! I also found that the ECCS and COIL relays MUST use the same power source for powering the relays. As the negative side of the relays are switched by a common point on the ECU, if say the ECCS relay gets constant 12v and the coil relay gets IGN 12v, with the key off you will end up sending 12v up to the IGN circuit.....Not good! Any how....I will put the lappy down and get to finishing this wiring all neat.

Yeah that was me. Just got home.....I am about to go and rewire my ECU......YAY!

Hmm...this sure sounds like what my car is doing. So the wiring for the ECCS relay should look something like this? Is the ECCS relay a special relay or will any 30 amp 4 pin relay work?

Heyyas. I just stuck the Power FC into my car and fired it up, runs like a dream. BUT........If I change a setting, like rev limit, Backlight brightness AFM type or anything, once the ignition is turned off it all goes back to the original settings and wont store anything I do. Now my entire manual is in Japanese so I have no idea if there is a save function or whatever, so any help would be massively appreciated.

Have you still got this PFC? If so I would like to come and get it by this weekend!

What power was achived with this ECU?

I know I am digging up an old post but what is the code retrival procedure for an R32 GTR ECU with only 1 LED? And i dont have any Diagnostic/Consult plugs as this engine is in an R31.

Hey all.. I am not sure if this is a correct place to ask this but does anyone know of a good courier/interstate form of delivery for things like gearboxes, diffs and the like??? I want to get some parts from a member interstate and I cant find a way to get the bits. Major couriers want like $500 from syd to melb and some wont even do one ofs! Help would be greatly appreciated.

No dramas really. The R31 mounts bolt straight up, The R31 clutch bolts onto the RB26 flywheel, the powersteer pump pulley did not quite line up so I did not bother re-fitting it, or the air con, I have no idea if that would fit as I did not try it cos I did not want A/C. The only Major drama was the sump which I had High energy make up and they now have the JIG to remake an RB26 sump for an R31. The Wiring is fairly straight forward but I decided to make it hard by pulling the whole dashboard out and runing all the wiring behind the firewall and the inner gaurds to hide it all! It is a great conversion.. Even in stock tune the RB26 is beautifully powered in the lighter R31 shell. It always leaves a smile on my face!

I dont have a 2535 turbo. The only mods i have are steel wheels instead of ceramic wheels in stock turbos and 360 degree thrust bearings. apart from that all stock.

Where did you get that done? I prefer non power steer. Less crap loading up the engine, cleaner engine bay and I have found the aussie power steer system to get fluid hammer when you quickly change dierction, like doing a slalom in a motor kahna, so the non assisted steering is better to use for it, plus it has niice feedback on the road.

yeah......that is what I was gonna do...I was gonne use the S13 control arms and all that....but the R31 rack wont fit? I have a non power steer rack. and I dont think there would be a non powersteer rack for the S13.

Man......Did you do the suspension conversion yourself? I have been looking into doing that for a while now....I have measured it all up and was trying to work out the front knuckles...
