  1. Hey .75 degrees sideways. That looks totally crazy!!!! I love it.....especially the rims! How did you go fitting the 6 cyl into the pintara seing the rear cross member mounts in a pintara are different to a skyline?
  2. The engine with loom, ecu, afm's, cooler and BOV's was around $6500 i think.

  5. Yeah, so did i!! It was built in the owners back yard!!! Owner did all the work himself except for a few things like exhaust and most of the wiring hookup. (and yeah.....I own it!)
  6. I agree....Airbrushing all over a car is crap. And really who cares about 4 tonnes worth of stereo? But the trouble is, my car has none of that and it does not really stand out in that type of crowd. Most of the cars there had bonnets closed. I left mine open all weekend because it actually has more then a pod and some polishing.
  7. As Red R32 says there was no engine damage to Leewahs car. The cooler pipe popped and it hit the radiator. But I will leave the rest up to Leewah.
  8. Show was ok. I did not go to the one earlier this year. It was pretty good I thought, But I had to hold my tongut with a few cars....there was an orange R33 GTS-t wth fluro yellow wheels and Graphics like the supra off FNF. Man, Where where his taste buds? Leewahs car was a shame but Ross's RH9 R32 GTR Rocked!!!

  11. Well.....where do I start. My car is a 1987 R31 gx. I got it when I was 19 (almost 7 years ago!) As it sits it has an R32 RB26dett stock with reco turbos with steel wheels and 360 degree bearings, 3 inch exhaust, twin pod filters and tomei cam wheels. box is just an r31 5 speed for now. diff is a 3.77:1 borg warner with a 351 falcon 4 pinion lsd centre. Suspension is Pedders springs and struts, whiteline sway bars and full nolothane bushing. BRakes are R33 gts-t calipers and slotted rotors. wheels are 17x7 speedy Mystique 2 rins. Body is mainly stock just re-sprayed in white with blue bearl overlay. bonnet vents and home made front bar. Engine bay is beaten smooth, seam welded and painted like the body with a few extra coats of pearl. before the cam wheels she made 216rwkw at 16 psi on the race pace dyno. Future mods......sort out my current dramas with oil falling out of the engine!! and a beter gear box.

I would sujjest for that sort of budget just turbo the rb30, using VL turbo injectors, ecu, exhaust manifold and turbo. stick a cooler on it and about 10-12 psi and you will have a torquey and powerful R31. Talk to the boys in the R31 skyline club....A lot of them have done it with great results.
  17. I just finished my rb26 conversion, got me 216 rwkw @ 16 psi on race pace dyno. SO much heartache in a conversion but well worth the wait!
  18. What R31 is it? Is it a pinny or a skyline? Pinny's have different gearbox mount locations to skylines. If it is a skyline any rb engine will physically bolt straight in. The wiring is a different story. I am not sure on the mods needed to make an rb engine fit into a pinny shell, or dropping a sr20 into an R31. If you have a manual R31 skyline for example and you stick an sr into it, they have a 3.7 diff, and I would assume the sr has less torque then an rb? that would make it a bit of a slug down low. Also, what do you want the car for? Daily driver? drags? or just to be different? Different would be going sr, a nice daily would have to be an rb30 turbo.
  19. I ran an rb30et that hit over 200rwkw and I was using the stock Rb30 na manual box which was over 330,000 km old. I have just got the rb26 running and am using the stock box for now, so I will find out the strength of the box real fast!!! As for diffs. I only broke the spider gears on one diff. I belive there is a harlequin R31 running 10's? I spoke to the owner last year and he was still using the stock diff, just with a minni spool.

  21. CAR: 1975 Mitso Galant coupe. FEATURES: 1600 Engine, wheels, working Air con and stereo. WHY? It cost me $300! FUTURE PLANS: When the skyline is finished it will get painted and a 2.6 engine swap, with quad throttle EFI.
  22. so what is the go with the turboes? Are they N1's? Impuls? Any better then stock?
  23. I am after an Rb25 turbo box. Series 2 with the pull type clutch. I need it complete with Shifter and all nesesscarry gear to make the clutch work. In melb. :burnout: :burnout:
