  1. I'd like to make the next shoot @ Albert Park, on Thursday if people can make it or Sunday. Once we organise who can make it I'll put up the details.
  2. Here's some availability: Thur 30th Dec - 18:00-21:00 - Anywhere? Fri 31st Dec - 07:00-09:00 - City area Sun 2nd Jan - 18:00-21:00 - Anywhere? Mon 3rd Jan - All Day - Anywhere? Tues 4th Jan - All Day - Anywhere? Wed 5th Jan - All Day - Anywhere? I'd like to have 2 or 3 cars to shoot at any time. And also, shoots can take a while so be prepared to wait. -Greg.
  3. The shoot was really a test, but now I have a good idea as to what we're dealing with. Sorry for making you guys wait so long - I think the best way to attack this is just to get one or two cars at a time, and work from there. The earlier shots were OK but nothing really stood out. I did manage to get some great shots of Matt's car later around 8:30-9pm which I believe are keepers so I'm confident we've now got one month down at least. -Greg.
  4. Preliminary Shoot Date/Time: Sunday 26th December, 6pm Location: Tally Ho Business Park (let's give this a shot), Burwood. Not sure of the address, but it'll be somewhere. Who should attend: Anyone on the list who is available on the day. Shoot details: This is really the "pilot" shoot, so if you miss it don't worry. We'll be discussing a few locations, testing some angles, working out any problems we might face. YES, there will be many more shoots!
  5. Preliminary Shoot Date/Time: Sunday 26th December, 6pm Location: Greensborough Plaza Car Park, off Church St. Who should attend: Anyone on the list who is available on the day (and wants to drive to Greensborough) Shoot details: This is really the "pilot" shoot, so if you miss it don't worry. We'll be discussing a few locations, testing some angles, working out any problems we might face. YES, there will be many more shoots!
  6. If anyone has any suggestions of locations, please post them up. Here's some ideas as to what I'm looking for: * Quiet - can't have people walking through shots or traffic on the road. * Scenic - either a nice backdrop to put the cars against for static shots, or something that can blur up nicely in motion (trees, buildings etc.) * Smooth/flat surface - self explanatory really. * Accessible - Somewhere within reasonable distance from the city.
  7. Oh...and this won't be the only shoot - that would be impossible!
  8. OK guys... Have to get out there and take a few photos so I'm making myself available for Sunday 26th from 6pm? Anyone in the list able to make this time? Shan? We need to get moving on this if we want the calendar for most of '05 -Greg.

I don't see a calendar thread yet. If anyone's interested in prints I can 10x15ins for $10 each with $1 going to the club. PM me if you're interested.

    I stole Golgo!

Thanks for the comments guys, makes the pain of waiting and setting up the shots worth it! For those after photos of their cars, PM or email me for details. As for the tech heads who need to know everything.... * All the photos were taken on the Nikon D70 @ 18mm * I use a mount to hold the camera steady (no hanging out of windows) * Exposures are normally a few seconds * No Photoshop trickery other than some small colour/level adjustments (which all digital camera users should learn) And Mavric, good spot! (grrr)

    I stole Golgo!

I am getting some printed for James (as he's a top bloke lending me the car) and I'll probably bring them to the next meeting. As for high-res photos, I might release a few as SAU wallpapers or something. Looking forward to working on the calendar so stay tuned for that.
  17. Congratulations mate.

    I stole Golgo!

I managed to steal Golgo this weekend and between thunderstorms, visits to the car wash and many a tank of fuel I managed to snap off these... (One day I might get a shot of the car as a whole, but these will have to do for the moment)
  21. And a time? 12?
  22. Think about the poor souls stuck "in" the VIC section who can't see us?!
  23. Just read this on the NSW forums, and as I hadn't heard about it down here I thought I would post it up. Yet another timely reminder to take it easy on the roads, especially with the better weather and upcoming holiday season. Such a waste. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=56640
  24. I am sure the legislation changed recently with regards to convex mirrors, just can't remember where I read it!
  25. I recently bought a house (instead of a Skyline) and now we're getting eveything up to scratch - new kitchen/bathroom/floors etc. Anyone else doing this kind of thing at the moment, or recently? Just interested to know your experiences - good or bad. -Greg.
