  1. Has anyone got any performance figures for the 350GT? Or even power/torque/weight kinda stuff? Also - does anyone insure these at the moment? Justcar's online quote system won't recognise it.
  2. Polarizers sparingly and a (good) quality Grad ND will help alot with bright skies. I say good because a lot of the cheaper ones will put a magenta or other colour cast through the "grey".
  3. TV shows - Fast Forward, Allo Allo, Goodies! Clothes - Those black Adidas pants with the orange and green stripes Music - on cassettes! Cars - X-DEF Falcons Food/Drink - Bottles which didn't have moulded bottoms so they had those stick-on black bottoms with feet.
  4. For those that are interested, episode 1, of series 7 of Top Gear is out at the moment. (Torrents available on all good sites) I noticed in the preview of the upcoming episodes there's an R34 GTR sitting on the limiter doing a burnout. Have to wait and see what that's about.
  5. Nasty, glad to see you're OK. I had a someone run a red a couple of years back to write off my Skyline. What I don't get how you didn't see him? No offence, but from those photos I'd be saying you t-boned him - how did it happen?
  6. Going back a few years ago I used to use Wynn's spit fire in my Cressida (had around 180,000kms on the clock) every couple of months. I found a massive difference after I had run it for a bit of a drive and then left it for a few hours to settle. Always idled better, accelerated smoother. Didn't notice anything on any of my other cars, which were all < 100,000 kms though.
  7. Hi all, I thought, since we've got a Photography area we might as well make some use of it. There's many keen photographers from beginners to pros floating around these forums so here's a chance to review some of the equipment you've used. I think if we keep the posts to a single standard template and try and eliminate "chat" between the posts this could prove quite useful. I'll start off with a review of my current camera, a Nikon D70 Camera: Nikon D70 w/kit lens 18-70mm Price Range: $2000 when I bought it (18 months ago) Date of Review: November 2005 Like? I believe this camera is excellent value for money. It comes with a quality lens which covers most situations and focuses quite quickly. 6MP is plenty for most people and I have blown up shots to 30x20in and been quite happy with the results. Fantastic battery life, you run out of card space before the battery will ever run out. Great results with Nikon's latest flashes. Dislike? Missing features such as a Vertical Grip, Mirror Lock-up and a remote shutter cable. I find the colour to be a bit plain for my liking out of the camera, others call it "natural" or "realistic". However, in the digital world this means very little as most digital shots need a small amount of work to get them to their best. Rating: 9 out of 10 Sample picture: -Greg.
  8. No!!! Ah well, I know how long you've been trying to sell him. Congratulations to the new owner, Golgo is one fine machine - even if he was always the "town bike" I always liked this shot - James I owe you a 30x20in print for all those times you let me borrow him - if you can remember a favourite shot let me know:

Dark...$900??? What is it - carbon fibre? I did these with a rig that cost less than $150: I know they're old shots but they're still my favourites! PS. I may be switching to Canon - PM me Dark about your experiences.

    Its A Girl!

Congratulations and best wishes to the 3 of you. Good to hear everyone is healthy and doing well.
  11. Gullwing on 33 would be a little hard wouldn't they? Considering they're pillarless doors.
  12. I haven't seen too many 1.8m tall R32s going around...
  13. Looks like you all had a great day, I couldn't make it as I was away. Dark - as much as I love my Nikon stuff you can't argue with those pics, Canon certainly make the better sensor for this kind of stuff. Fantastic pics.
  14. I'm a "computer wiz" and take photos in my spare time. My father in law engineers/machines all kinds of engine race parts - if anyone ever needs something custom done just send us the specs. My brother in law is a mechanic and my brother and cousin are automotive engineers. One day I'll get around to starting a race team...

All my photos are wrong now...I'll need to re-shoot the car. Looks great thoough. Well done, just wait for everyone to copy these now!
  16. Why would you take a photo of a car like that in some grass? It's not a tractor.

Here's some of the VIC members car that I've taken photos of: I use a Nikon D70, and love it.
  19. That's Clarky's number plate isn't it? Perhaps there are other reasons where you would visit a medical centre which don't need to be discussed on a public forum.
  20. Swap meets for me. I like the atmosphere! (Or just register an ABN and get a few good supplier accounts at Synnex, Altech, MMT etc.)
