  1. I don't like to admit it, but I've been scammed recently by a poster on SAU - consequently noted on the known scammers list. I'm currently down $400 on some brake calipers. I contacted my bank (Commonwealth/Netbank) and they said that they can initiate an investigation with the other financial institution and the account holder to hopefully a) get the goods I'm entitled to or b) my money back. They charge $25 for the service (they're a bank after all) and said it could take up to 6 weeks. As I've only just started the process I haven't got any more info yet but I was surprised that they had such a service.
  2. They're both great cameras, with a little more speed and picture quality in favour of the 30D but better build quality and flash system on the D70. Either way you'll be happy.
  3. So judging by the DBA info the 34 N/A and the 33 Turbo do have the same brakes. I've ordered some 33 front/rear calipers which hopefully bolt straight on (and look so much better!)
  4. Hi all, I was wondering if any of the R34 N/A (not GT-V) owners would be nice enough to measure their rotors for me - I'm after the diameter and the thickness front and rear. I want to swap over some turbo brakes but I don't know which parts I need and which parts I have already. Thanks in advance if you can help me. -Greg.

    Scenic Drives

Another vote for the yarra glen / black spur / healesville / marysville area - might be a little late though - getting pretty wintery now for any spirited driving.
  6. Hey mate - $800 is just a bit high for me (mainly because I'm not interested in the tyres at all), but I really want the wheels so PM me a price you'll take and I'll pick them up tonight/tomorrow. -Greg.
  7. Debuting Singstar Rocks tonight.
  8. Please give me contact details for your insurer.
  9. Front & Rear brakes w/rotors, lines, master cylinder etc. Still available?
  10. Can't understand why insurance premiums are so high...
  11. Any updates on this one? I'd love to know what's happened in the last month.
  12. I'm currently sourcing a 34 through J-Spec (car has been purchased, just waiting on a boat) and can't say that I've had any concerns whatsoever. I chose J-Spec over Prestige (who I would also recommend) simply because they're in Melbourne and I've met the guys, and the cars they're brought in, before. Just be prepared to wait a couple of months (no matter who you choose) - gone are the good old days of getting a car imported and on road in a matter of weeks.

Great shot - got any more?
  14. Hi guys, Has anyone installed those Coby extractors on the Neo 2.5L N/A? Any issues/comments? Thanks, Greg.
  15. Hi all, Hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction, I'm looking to upgrade the stock N/A brakes on a 25GT to GTT spec. Could someone list the parts i would need? Also are the rear brakes also different between N/A and turbo? And one more thing, is just worth getting new (DBA?) rotors instead? Thanks guys! -Greg.
  16. Unscrew the back (where you change the bulb) and sit it in the sun/drive it around on a hot day. Don't need to remove the light.
  17. Here's the info - posted earlier I think: http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/may03/skyline_gtv/
  18. That's my birthday! So probably out to the pub after work for a couple.
  19. http://carsguide.news.com.au/story/0,20384...0-21822,00.html I'm a big fan of the Territory, now even more so. It'll be interesting to see how they price it though.
  20. Also watch out for customs hold ups and GST payments on stuff bought overseas. It can still be cheaper though sometimes.
  21. All my photos are organised by date into folders: 20060210 - Bikini Model Shoot 20060101 - Family BBQ 20051225 - Christmas etc. etc. I find this works perfectly.

    I Did It!

Great shot, I reckon it needed a little more drama though...

Funny, some of those shots of yours look a little familiar...

    Buying A Camera

I'd be more interested to gauge it's autofocus performance - you buy long lenses for action photography - motorsport, birds/animals etc. - stuff where getting the picture in focus is more important that the extra stop of light.
