  1. I'm currently selling my 97 Fairmont, great car, want to buy it? Didn't think so...anyway...Here's the ad I put a few weeks back on Carsales: Carsales Ad Today I get a call from a potential buyer saying that my car looks the same as another one in this ad, and questioned whether my photos were in fact of my car! Carsales Ad #2 So this guy has taken my photos, blanked out the number plates and used them for his own ad! Needless to say, I've since got in contact with this seller with a few loaded questions. Typical response - my dad listed the car, he doesn't speak english, he tooks the photos a year ago so it looked a bit different back then, actually I think the car has sold already! -Greg.
  2. Pity it's only a Canon... Can't wait to see some pics.

    Comedy Festival

Ah, old threads...still relevant at least! Tripod - even better than last year, more like a play than a concert. Ross Noble - first time I've seen him live, very very funny (and absurd). Danny Bhoy - seen this guy a few times and he's always been great. Arj Barker - this was the 4th year I've seen him, much of the same.
  4. Why would you drive around in a car you've spent 25k on and not have proper insurance? What did the driver that caused the accident do?
  5. Congratulations mate. Lots of fun to come ahead! (if you're planning a big one) We're getting married in November, but we've opted out of using Skylines - the bride/bridesmaids can't go climbing in through the passenger seat and into the back. It's just not practical. Can you imagine the drama of the bride getting snagged or greased from the seat rail?! We're going 4 Ford Territorys for something different.
  6. Do the head-unit yourself, it's REALLY easy. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=12956
  7. Could you please list the exact items that are for sale in this bundle? From what I can see it's the camera, a lens, grip, 2 batteries and 256mb card?
  8. Hang on...the Mrs is up the duff? Did I miss a memo? Congratulations! Couple of notes when looking at compact digital cameras... * Don't get caught in the megapixel hype - 5 is plenty, anything higher and you'll have bigger file sizes (less space) and not a whole heap more picture quality * Optical zoom is important, forget about digital zoom * Compact Flash and SD memory cards are good value - get a big one * Movie mode can be really handy, even if you have camcorder as well I'm a big fan of any Canon Powershot or IXUS when it comes to compacts.
  9. You would have to find a pretty nice guy to do it for 2 slabs.
  10. Sorry, it seems every time I take out the Tetris Highscore the games stop working. Ah well, at least I stay no. 1!

    window tinting

Yeah, "darkest legal tint" is not very dark these days. I swear each time I've had it put on it's got weaker and weaker over the years.
  12. I like it. But, it is better to only do half the car or something. Like that midnight purple 33 with a 34 front.
  13. The camera was a Nikon D70. Location was up near Healesville. Yes, they do seem to look like toy cars in that last shot... Unfortunately, Skylines don't look quite right on dirt roads! And I've taken FAR too many shots of them.
  14. Since Joel has been stealing the photographic lime light recently with his work I thought I should get out there and do some of my own. So, today I met up with Joel and mate and they drove around a bit while I whored Joel's lenses. Enjoy. (we did)
  15. They're the ones I had - great matts - can't speak highly enough of them - still...
  16. I'd like to see a car with all panels carbon- fibre-look. Has that been done?
  17. So...how long did it take in total from the day you picked one, to the day you drove it?
  18. I can't speak highly enough of the mats I had, I think they were series 2s - Ash bought them off me. I drove over 50,000kms with them and they didn't have a scratch. Unlike my Subaru mats which are looking pretty bad after 1000km! I guess I could stop wearing stillettos...
  19. Definitely put work into the stand this year. Quality not quantity? I'd be happy to blow up a few photos to 30x20in (I can get these pretty cheap).
  20. Joel is keen to help out/contribute with the motorsport side of the Calendar (remember that?), which is great. Must get on to that...
  21. Go the scooby, I just novated an RS through work.
  22. Abby's OK to let me go but I found out that I'm on-call for work and I really can't be 2-3 hours away. Pity though, was going to meet up with Joel if he comes and whore some of his lenses.
