  1. Abby and I were interested from day one so we're in. How many people can the venue hold? Will there be a red-carpet? Joel and I could provide plenty of flashbulbs going off.
  2. You only rev to 5000rpm leaving your driveway?
  3. Typical James. I'd love for them to revisit the 34 GTR on the show.
  4. Yeah ouch... But listen to those Merc drivers afterwards, I had to stop reading, couldn't take it anymore.
  5. My GTS25 (Type S, woo) survived less than 5000kms before the clutch giving up. Replaced it with a stock/factory one which lasted at least 45,000kms more before I got rid of it.
  6. What's wrong with the Vortex?
  7. Last time I was in Apollo Bay the Mobil had premium.
  8. It'll be sad to see it go, it was an SAU institution. I have fond memories hanging out the back of it one cold winter night trying to take photos of Snowy's car.
  9. The Mythbusters would probably have some ideas for it.
  10. Excellent! I've spent the past couple of months downloading all of the 2004 episodes. This is one of the most entertaining programs on TV. Up there with Mythbusters!
  11. If it fitted in a double din slot it would be interesting.
  12. Black spur is lots of fun, but not when it's damp or cold. We regularly head up to Marysville for lunch - it's just over an hour from the NE suburbs. Eltham to Yarra Glen is nice.
  13. No chance whatsoever. How many years clean driving could a P-plater have? 1 or 2 maybe?
  14. My dad did this too. He got done on a camera for the first time in 20+ years, and heard that this was available. So he sent in a letter. Unfortunately, a week later he gets done again, same camera, same location. So he used the refund cheque to pay for the new fine!
  15. Tonight was by far the best meeting I have attended so far, and rightly so being the A.G.M. Highlights for me were... * It's good to know how the club is travelling financially, and some of the goals the committee has set for now and into the future * Jeff's Targa videos were great fun * Loved the idea of the dinner, will this be a black-tie style event? Abby and I think it should be. * Feedback forms were a good idea, hopefully some good ideas/improvements come from these. Keep up the good work.
  16. 230 in a Continental GT would be a walk in the park compared to the motorbike.
  17. http://www.retrocrush.com/babes.html Ah...James.
  18. Don't write me off, I might be quiet but I'm always honing my skills. They're really nice shots. Be wary of wideangles and converging verticals though.

Couple of things, my new speedlight didn't arrive on time (so I could take flash photos of shiny surfaces!) but also it was the Russian (and Greek and few others') Easter over the weekend so I had heaps of family commitments. Really wanted to go though, just the timing was bad for me this year.
  20. Typhoon - $58950 RRP XR6T - $46350 RRP The Typhoon is a nice car and I know it's not as simple as this but $12k for 30kw and 100nm? I guess it all depends on what you want to do (or not do) with it.

I guess they lose the passion...they look alright to me though. I can't stand when "professional" photographers have blurry images! Really nice photos from all the SAUers, looks like you're enjoying that camera Dark. Great work on the stand guys (and girls!), good to see Dave's GTR back on the dyno and reclaiming the AWD record.
  22. I put in a complaint to Carsales this morning. So either my conversation with him last night or something they said might have made him change his mind. So all the photos in Carsales Ad #2 are NOT my photos - thankfully!
  23. Spot the differences! His (actual) car... 1. Has no towbar 2. Has no rear spoiler 3. Has no tinted windows 4. Has no SAU sticker! 5. Has a mobile phone antenna 6. Has a bonnet protector
