  1. Sold them about 10 minutes before you sent the PM... sorry
  2. Have been running 450ish hp at the wheels on standard rods shot peened for almost 24 months now without a problem. I am using ARP rod bolts though which is where the weak spot is in the rods apparantly. Keep clear of R.E.V rods. Friend of mine ordered a set thinking they were a bargain. They arrived pre-assembled, when removing the rod bolt it stripped itself and snapped. Really want something this brittle in your engine when you cant even remove the rod bolt to put it in the engine? Unless you want to push massive amounts of power or raise the rev limit, standard rods should do you fine (using a decent quality bearing as well... I previously used NDC bearings (Nismo are supplied by NDC) ad they are a tri-layer metal style bearing. After 10,000km the top layer had started peeling and was on its way to spinning. The car has no knock what so ever, and have always used Motul 300V Chrono oil changed every 2500 - 3000kms. My preference for bearings would be King. EDIT: Forgot to mention, as others mentioned get them shot peened to remove any surface weaknesses, and if you have the cash cryo treated to add some extra strength.

    Prime Garage

Drag dampers, when it squats in the rear on launch/hard acceleration, camber goes to about 0 degrees to get most tyre contact on the road as possible Im a big fan of the CA18DET, strong little things, friend had one in his 180SX with a few bolt ons (cooler, S15 T28, some piggyback computer) and it was suprsingly quick (and also withstood years of punishment and neglect).
  8. Scooby this morning in QBN, forgot to post it up
  9. This is in less than a month, any more ideas on who is going? Myself, cassi, ewen, mark and shell are all definately going up. I provided the link for a hotel in this thread in Windsor, and the meeting point for the cruise is only 5 mins away in the morning. At this stage we will probably leave around 3 - 4PM, and arrive by 7:30PM at the latest. Check into the hotel, then go and wine and dine at one of the many restaurants/cafes 2 minutes walk from the hotel. It will be an awesome weekend, hopefully see some more of you up there

    Prime Garage

As said, one of the older HPI has features on some prime garage cars and also on HPI 5 or 6 DVD. They are RH9 (blue R33 GTR) and made the quickest CA18 powered car in the world (white sil80) which I saw a few months ago at CRD in Sydney See if you can grab the DVD, doesnt have much detail on the shop itself but you can see the work they have done to these two other cars and their attention to detail. 11. Nobody likes a smart ass
  12. Still more expensive than that so called "sports car" whale blubber you own Sorry had to reply to a cheap shot with a cheap shot
  13. For the GTR owners going, I expect no less than a 7000rpm launch after dropping off your guest
  14. You dont/wont need a baffled sump. The problem doesnt really affect GTSt's. On GTR's the problem is when the fronts hook up mid corner it puts the car under alot higher levels of lateral g-forces which pull the oil to one side of the sump. You need to either be a really good driver on standard street tyres or an average driver on semi slicks for this to happen. I wouldnt worry about it too much
  15. 8AM departure at shell epic, so meet at 7:50ish I guess?
  16. Ill definately come down to watch at a minimum what time you thinking of heading off? meet at shell epic?
  17. Yeah I agree sultans has a bad rep, but management have been trying to turn it around in the past month to be like it used to... seems to be working, not as many tool beaters up there anymore
  18. Just thought id do some shameless free promotion in here GrooveOn, an Australian run company promoting and running big R&B/Rap/HipHop events throughout the country is having its 4th birthday and to celebrate is throwing a party in most Australian major cities. The Canberra event will include one of Sydney's premier DJ's, DJ A-Style (DJ for Wepon X, who supported Xzibit) and heaps of live acts to be announced shortly. The event will be at the Sultans night club in Civic on Saturday 3rd September. This is bound to be one of the biggest parties in Canberra for 2005, so why not come along and celebrate the start of spring and the coming of warmer weather with a night out supported by excellent live acts, good music, and alcohol (if you drink ). Hope to see some of you guys there

  23. Just curious what bad results youve been seeing coming from Integra? Not having a dig, just curious -- as you know, peoples opinions on here can make and/or break a business If he was as bad as some people say, I doubt Nizpro would be sending all their work from this region to Integra Integra gets my vote.
