  1. The actual law is it cannot be more than a 15% increase in rolling diameter from the original wheels. 17x9 with 255/40/17's is fine, and if you have them engineered (as part of your 89 compliance im guessing) show him the papers and he shouldnt have a problem with it.
  2. As topic says, I am after a set of 4 R34 GTR rims in perfect to very good condition (that means no to little gutter rash). Dont really care if they have tyres or not, would prefer shagged tyres or no tyres to keep the price down as I have semi slicks that will be going on anyway. If anyone has a set, send me a PM with price
  3. EDIT: oops, double posted
  4. Was good, only 3 cars (ewens, mivec's fto and cro's xr6t), but we went down to jindabyne, out to charlottes pass (where it was f@#king freezing), back to jindabyne for lunch then out to thredbo... was a nice drive.
  5. id rather you moving it around than the current state its in when you start work experience?
  6. Check the fluid levels in the bottle on the right hand side of the boot. This needs to be between max and min when the car is running.
  7. You call a workshop that I obviously highly rate dodgy, because -I- made the choice to leave -my- car out the front. You obviously dont realise comments like what you made on a forum can make or break a business. There was and is nothing dodgy about where the car is. There are no mechanics at Integra on the weekend, and I dropped it off well after hours on Friday night. What am I meant to do, bust in so I can put the car inside so people dont think its dodgy? Integra do not leave cars outside, and if I hadve dropped it off during business hours, it wouldnt be outside. To add to that also, one of the mechanics heard the car was there, and went in -in their own free time- on the weekend to see if I had left the keys at the servo to move it inside. So my comment still stands, get the full facts before you making comments calling a business dodgy on a forum, that could potentially cost them a shitload of work (especially when they didnt even know the car was there).
  8. The GTR is mine, and no they dont usually leave cars outside, mine shouldnt be there. Driving down my street on Friday night following a ute carrying firewood, a log of wood fell off the ute and went straight under my car doing a fair bit of damage (most notably, the wheels will be thrown in the bin as theyre buckled to all hell and back). As the car cant be towed up my driveway due to the angle, I got it towed to my mechanics, which is Integra and which is why it was outside. So cram your dodgy comment where it fits without knowing the full story.
  9. Well I busted my car last night, but will be out with Ewen.
  10. wont be out... early start tomorrow you soft people wouldnt understand that though
  11. Woot well this is still on, and weathers looking fi-diddly-ine for the weekend. Hope to see some of you guys there, and if you dont come youre a soft biatch (jokes).
  12. On the "series 1" design of the HKS cam gears, the metal used for the teeth the belt sits on is too soft, and I have seen a few which have worn away pretty quickly (under 15,000kms). You can identify the series 1 design as having the purple center and blue outer edges. The "series 2" design is made out of the same metals as Tomei's cam gears, and I havnt heard or seen any problems with the Tomei ones.
  13. I dont know if Mark wants to keep it secret or not, but it should be very well matched to the engine.
  14. Well, I just had land on my desk the turbo for Marks VR4... and holy mother of god its big Its a customised Garrett GT3071R and a big thanks goes to Luch from Tune Agent (www.tuneagent.com) for organising the turbo at an awesome price ($700 cheaper than GCG, and anywhere else locally!). I wont go into how much power it can make, but it is a reasonably sized turbo, and the final results should be very damn impressive Anyways heres the pics... Pic #1 Pic #2 Pic #3 Pic #4 (even the hoff rates it )
  15. Ok well this is coming up this Saturday, just thought id bump this post up to remind people See you all there (whoever decides to come)
  16. Ok cool sounds like theres still quite a few people interested. Ill keep searching and working on cheaper Perisher prices this week, and ill also go and see travel agent friday night regarding new zealand... from what ive found online, new zealand is around $850 which includes airfares, accomodation, car hire etc... all thats left is lift tickets and gear hire (which is reasonably cheap in nz compared to aus)
  17. Spoke to them about group booking and they need 15 people or more. As for the NZ idea, the problem is we need definate numbers
  18. Ok heres my rough cost estimation... 3 Day Midweek Madness Package includes - 3 nights accomodation at the Snowy Valley Resort, Jindabyne - Transport from Canberra to Snowy Valley Resort by luxury coach - Shuttle bus transport up and down the mountain each day (includes National Park entry fees) - Complimentary 3 course dinner at the Lakeview Bistro - Hot breakfast each morning - Party night is Wednesday Night in Jindabyne Busses depart Canberra at 10:30PM Monday night, returning late Thursday night. Cost: $289 per person EXTRA COSTS YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY Skis stocks and boots hire -- $55 Snowboard and boots hire -- $69 Hire clothes (jacket, pants etc) -- check out some ski and camping shops for good prices 3 day lift pass / with skitube -- $248 / $302 Spending money each day for food and drinks at Perisher -- $25 So for a grand total of around $562 plus your ski/board/clothes hire. Then add on some extra cash for going out in Jindabyne, id say $650-700 would be suitable for most people.
  19. Ok so to get this kinda back on track, I have talked to some places and basically the deal Andrew (SkyGTRline) found is looking the best. So... those who want to come, when do you want to go and for how many days? Im thinking around mid August and for the 3 days during the week. Let me know, and we'll work something out and get booking.
  20. You like the car and treat it with respect, age doesnt matter in my opinion. Hell I was only 19 when I got mine. With all above said and done, hope it goes good for you and you get it back soon.
  21. I agree with Mark... a law is a law, yes half of them suck, but theyre in place and you have to obey them, otherwise be prepared to wear the consequences. It is -YOUR- responsibility to make sure "accidental" breakages of the law dont happen. If it states that a loss of traction will cause your car to be impounded, well I sure as hell know im going to make extra effort not to lose traction as I dont want to lose my car...
  22. Haha I dont think youre in the position to laugh at me anymore after last nights efforts
  23. 5 minute job and 4 bolts to drop the front driveshafts Terminal
