  1. Not a huge failure as such but a pain in the arse to diagnose initially....and i think it worth a mention, feel free to remove it if you want. Engine/Car:R32 GTS25 Type of failure:Engine cutting out at 4000rpm..ish, as it heated, cut out as low as 3000rpm, much like hitting rev limiter Factors influencing the failure: Found out it was the exhaust cam sensor. Damn mitsubish(bitsofshitty) part State of tune of the engine: Catback Suspension and tyres: Stock Oil used and service interval: Penzoil General comments: A new one cost $700, snd hand was $300 (from memory) plus some diagnostic time etc....cost 450 all up. Cheers
  2. Spotted Black GTR R32...followed it home from the airport it turned off onto the sutton rd. About 11.30amish
  3. Another idea is to get a company like AVO to high flow stock injectors also. Apparently you can get stock rb25 370cc jobs up to 500cc........
  4. Yeah i know i ws just drunk and feeling lazy when i posted that......hehhee
  5. I think i know which sierra your talking about, a guy i use to work with had a laser with a big trust sticker. I Spoted a Black R32 gtst turning at the lights at Maccas in Fyshwick (bout 3.15pm) yesterday, then followed them down the end of the monaro to the roundabout on piallago way. Female driver
  6. Ok, so i know the rb25 (r32) head uses same injectors as R32 gtst, someeon mentioned changing over to GTR items later on, the R32 gtst are high impedence and the gtr low impedence, does this make a difference/complication......will aftermarket computers handle this?? Whats the go with injector impedence. Coz the above mentioned injectors are both top feed...that much i know....... Cheers Geordie
  7. sxygtst that was me inside reading the mags while you were getting a cut (googs is a good mate of mine) Yes it is looking sad but i promise to restore it to good again....... Very soon infact, new front bar is on its way hehhe
  8. Well if anyone spots me gimme a wave, im always poking around the place. Cant miss my car, its like a patchwork quilt. Things to look for: Light bright grey undercoated rear guard (passenger side) Red/burgundy drivers side mirror Big dent in the bonnet shitty painted front guard (passenger side) Like i said cant miss it Looks like a drift damaged R32 And i promise it will get fixed one day... But yeah, Thats me...
  9. Yeah rb26head is about 2k...minimum.....3k closer to the mark. There is a RB25 non vtec head going in the forsale section for like 200 or sometihng similar atm (need valve springs i think, good idea to replace em anyway) its at top of the classified in a sticky tread donation sale
  10. Ill let you know, at the current point in time i think i have found the lot....
  11. Im keen to get one, i need everything though, pedal box, tailshaft, box, clutch, the works. I found this below: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...nual+conversion But it was some time ago, the whole kit in that tread was $1000ish....... I think thats pretty reasonable. Let me know. Cheers G
  12. Damn you, just paid $50 for one of these from autobarn
  13. They plan on getting others done hey? Well if they get the R32 done ill be interested, esp in GTR style. Also guys, you can get the drift style bonnet vents from JMS. I saw them on the website the otherday.
  14. I got the exact same pm from "whothefami"
  15. I saw a Purple/pinkish camelion sorta coloured R33 at northwest tyres this moring at about 10.30 am, big cromes wheels.
  16. My dimmer switch is next to it.....
  17. So technicly an aftermarket computer would work aswell?? Coz they are plug and play aswell......but yeah i was also thinking there would be extra sensors of some sort or another....
  18. Intermittent wiper control most probably. When you select intermittent setting, the dial regulates the frequency of the wiperspeed, before going to the faster step up of slow/low. Cooky fact: The inventer of intermittent wipers recently passed away, his funeral was held on a misty day. His daughty declared it was fitting wether as she required the intermittent wipers on the way to the graveyard......read that somewhere......forget where
  19. That switch is for the air purifier on the rear parcel shelf, yours may of been fitted with it, its a factory option, someone recently posted all the factory options, if the previous owner tried putting speakers in the rear they prolly ripped it out coz its fu(king annoying, as it inhibits you from removing the parcel shelf, unlike most other electric items its power supply isnt on a nice unclippable plug setup. But yeah, thats what my switch does, fast and slow speed for big vs little fans....
  20. If a full aftermarket computer was to be used.....ie: Power FC, wolf 3D, microtec etc etc.....would the wiring loom require to be changed over to turbo spec, or are they same?
  21. Nah it was strange coz both were on on both sides....while i was fixing then it went back to (as i have now found out) "Normal". Thanks heaps guys. My car is almost ready for redgo.......tyres.....
  22. I personly tohught the bodykits section undermods and maintanence was good coz it was an ares for ppl to chuck around different ideas etc about that topic only, I was going to post a new thread up about this but decided i would search first and this thread loks good enough to sook in. MY SOOK - Put bodykits back under Mods and Maintance......please
  23. PM sent, willing to buy right away pending freight costs
  24. Just a quick one guys. In a R32, when in high beam mode, are low beams meant to be on aswell? Its one of things i just never cared to take notice of till i had to replace a low beam headlight. If they are both meant to be on in high beam mode........why arent mine? If there not then all is cool.... Cheers and thank in advance Geordie
