  1. Doesn't fit. the housing dump pattern is different.
  2. Its got larger opening area then the older model, how ever that would be the absolute of what can be fitted based on stock oem dump pattern. I've managed to get couple made last weekend, I can do it on exchange bases, as you can have the old one send back after the newer one is received. Its just 5bolt on the rear housing. pretty easy to de-tach. best to have it installed if the turbo is not yet fitted. Edit: sorry I must need the original adaptor to work with as the wastegate wholes are individually drilled to suit the disc. will take 1 working day to have it complete.
  3. Another update with the G3's rear housing. This re-makes OEM dump flange from the G3. enables better turbine flow, and increase the boost to power ratio. This flange can be removed without removing the turbo. I'm happy to have above mod update all current G3 and G4 .84 units free of charge regardless how old it is, and good time to do the fnt mod for 2010 and earlier units. PM for details.
  4. Buy this from supercheap or autobarn Grind the hex head off, and you have the stud and the nut. Also there is a rear housing update on all G3 units which I'm happy to carry it out free of charge. check my thread for further details.
  5. You can get a high pressure actuator from us at the stage of when its getting tuned. stock actuator opens up pretty much at 1psi. the high pressure actuator doesn't till about 15psi, which can hold higher boost level at upper rpms and gain better response.
  6. yea 2871 on a rb20 will do that 100%. on a .64 rear housing as well?
  7. Sounds like too much back presure. need a larger housing, or larger turbine wheel or stronger actuator.
  8. That can be compensated by machining out the internals of the factory turbine housing making a larger blow tunnel while using an extra large turbine wheel to compensate. Not sure to what extend thou.
  9. I'm aiming to crack 300rwkws with a stock 21U R33 housings on pump 98. It felt abit too responsive as some thing maxing 300rwkws, can't wait to see how it goes once tuned. Its a brae manifold. a duplication of my ebay SS manifold that cracked using steel pipe. its apparantly an expansive one time job that I haven't fully evaluate it yet. I've also got an HKS low mount cast manifold fully surfaced with T3x bolt pattern. comes with HKS 38mm gate for $1200. PM if interested
  10. Turbo's installed today: Looking pretty stock ? Initial test drive, it builds up boost very quickly. Dyno tune due in soon.
  11. That should be fine. Please check email for order details. Thanks
  12. SS1PU makes around very responsive 260rwkw mark running 18~20psi. 22psi max it out at 280rwkws which is the most this turbo can do internally gated. This turbo has no issues handeling boost. For the GTiR rebuild, $400 covers: 360 degrees thrust bearing, bush bearing, collars, seals, sand blasting, balancing and assembly. Drop the turbo in when ready. I will need to pull it part to give you an accurate quote.
  13. assume the wheels, shaft, bearings, and housings are re-useable. That will cost you $400. If every thing are gone and only housings are good then its not suitable for rebuilding. That will cost you $800 which is high flowing to 2860rs specifications. So the worst case scenario will cost $800.
  14. That was the older profile, the current profiles are once again totally different just like every thing else we do. They also made to work with stock oil feeding line, we no longer supply braided lines for that model.
  15. That was for rb25, m35 turbo high flow profile is different, won't be laggy at all.
  16. Since I have to do it, I rather over doing it. Yes can be make in to 3 inches.
  17. Nope, the comp inducer is larger then the 2.5 inch inlet they had there. Had nothing left to clamp hose on after machining. lol
  18. Some Modifications that I've done to a stockie R33 21U turbo: 4inch inlet adaptor with SS3 comp wheel: Looks all sort of stock I guess. Would be awsome if I can crack 300rwkws with it internally gated on pump 98.
  19. I think its more to do with the wastegate gate setup. When Trent did the internal and external gated test, the hug drop in internal gate setup means the turbine is cooping with high exhaust manifold pressure as well as heat after certain rpms. From experiments that I've conducted a large external gate acts as a secondary turbine that carries out compressor flow only when needed. So getting good results from an internally gated setup: Comp flow = turbine flow on the external gate perspective: Comp flow = Turbine flow + External gate flow. As if I run G3 compressor onto a SS1PU's turbine with a large 60mm external gate, I should get the 300rwkws peek power from the G3 while having the 20psi by 3300RPMs response of the SS1PU. I will do some tests on that when I’m over with stockie boltons.
  20. The reason behind that is because your car is running on E85, High mount exhaust manifold and external gate. Run pump 98, internally gated with stock manifold. That power and torque figure will drop significantly after 6000RPM. which is like: There are lot more to think about when building a turbo made to perform on Pump 98 and internally gated. A turbo that can deliver performance internally gated on pump 98, has no issues cracking the extra KWs on external gate with E85.
  21. Well I enjoy design and building some complicated turbos or forced induction parts. This turbo its a hobby thing, the importance is making a difference, and it is very difficult to make possitive differences, pretty happy with the out come, So this technology is available in building SS2 or SS1PU turbos when needed. The SS1PU is a better turbo then the SS1.5, which I will remove that off the listing.
  22. 93 model R33 GTST Forgied CP pistons, valve springs and stock every thing else. 550cc injectors 600x300x75mm Front mounted cooler Xforce 3inch turbo back exhaust Manual boost controller ATR43G3 Ceramic roller bearing prototype turbo internally gated 4inch intake pipe Nistune Z32 AFM in cooler piping Pump 98 fuel. Car maxed 302rwkws on 19.6psi Video:
  23. Finally got the hobby turbo tuned today. made 302rwkws just touching 20psi internally gated on pump 98 fuel. Referring to dyno reading it made about 200rpms of difference in response, I'm pretty happy with its out come. Video:
  24. Yes can be done, cost $1700 for both turbos. Also congratulation to customer whom won Vic hill clamb championship. That we built a custom turbo for his SR20det blue bird.
  25. ^^^^ I thought the turbo is comming back for a ss1.5 upsize. The main issues with intake restriction are that it can not supply enough air to the comp wheel, 2ndly that slows down the shaft speed making turbine wheel harder to turn, there for trapping combusted air inside combustion chamber causing detonations. I'm still waiting for bit more feedbacks from couple of evaluation SS2 units at this stage. Will produce them when I have more solid results. For time been, 250~270rwkws mark use the SS1PU and 270~300rwkws mark use the G3. There is also a prototype high flow from R33 21U turbo that Im working on and off for the time been. The goal is to duplicate G3's result while stay in factory turbo shells.
