The photo shown earlier is Kando's 360 degree thrust bearing setup which is again an identical copy of Greddy's large shoulder thrust collar. The collar and bearing that I make for the L2 turbine ended is larger overall and different. By enlarging collar and improving oil delivery within can only do so far, The best solution is having matched flow between both turbo ends. A good example would be the SLSS2 turbocharger, yet running a 73mm compressor maxed out more power then the 78mm 25G, with much better response and reliability.

It depends on how often and how hard the car's been driven and how much boost they run. Those products was not developed through R&D and perfected through time, instead a copy of a matured product. just like their response to a better performing HTA item was "send one in and we make a copy." In which they are missing the foundation, that is the information of engine and turbo behavior at given condition and situations, of any turbochargers should be developed on. Just like some of their huge 700HP Precision copy compressor with TD06L2 turbines, then anti surge that compressor. Well that is just very wrong. The most commonly seen turbochargers sent in for repair are the T67, and new billet wheeled T67 in 8 / 10cm on Rb25dets. Very few 8cm T67 in SR, and 1x TD05 16G from SR. All same problem as photo graphed earlier.

I get to work on them often, the shaft and bearing below came off a Kando T67 sent in last week, like I've mentioned earlier. This issue happens to T67 or those larger billet L2 based cores working with Rb25det engines on high boost. When compressor out flows turbine creating way too much back pressure.

I found only bosch pumps cutting out intermediately, especially the 040. It makes a loud buzzing sound also. Walbro pumps usually just blows up straight, I have not experienced intermediate cuts with them. The 460L/H Walbro if are you getting/got one. it needs an extra earth, which you just tee the earth wiring out side the tank, and bolt it to the chassis. Plugs needs to be gaped to 0.8 as others mentioned.
-
might worth a while checking all the connection with the wiring loom, I had this issue on my CA before, and turned out to be a broken connector. unless its the fuel pump cutting out intermediately which can also lead to similar effect.

They can be made to a vband, usually is a plate to weld a dump pipe to. My turbine is larger and has different radious to 3076 so if you are supplying the housing, i will need to remachine it.

I got a bolton version of a prototype G3 including oil line for $800 if interested. It was maxed out at 347rwkws on E85 internally gated on 22psi and 352rwkws external on 24psi. Would be good for about 270rwkws mark on pump 98 fuel on mild boost level. and fairly responsive as a daily. details, photos and dyno reading at: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/page-473

Same price. Just more power and slightly laggier. That is good for externally gated setups.
-
No the SS3 is about 300rpms laggier then SS2. The power / response trade is: 1KW:10RPMs. Take the SS Alpha trailed for example: SS2 makes 383rwkws 20psi by 3500RPMs SS3 makes 407rwkws 20psi by 3800RPMs
-
Not overlaid you will have to read them. Results trailed in mine is only in the Alpha version. Normal version would be 300RPMs behind. SS2: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/page-395 SS3: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/page-409

Will I Get My Exemption Approved?
hypergear replied to adamss's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I've been done for 5 times, Its not too bad in Vic. Go to EPC center in Mcloryd. Put factory dump pipe and exhaust back on and make your engine bay looking standard. They will do a emission and noise test and it will be ok. -

Might want to dummy it up first. I've had a HKS low mount manifold that came with a TA45 turbocharger. its a tight fit, only few mms from hitting the engine mount. If that is the case then you might want to change the turbine housing's entry flange then bolting on an adaptor in between.

Go to www.taobao.com You can get Fake very thing that looked just like the real one. I've bought a Knock box, Turbo smart BC, and AEM ECU while I was in China working on that Kia project. Every single one that cam at my door are useless fake.
-
I usually make a base model and tune it against its older version. If it is a success then integrate the SS compressor for better response. So both models gets upgraded.
-
Unfortunately building turbochargers isn't just about turning lathe, people isn't just buying a turbo, they are buying their desired HP goal. Ensuring the outcome I must not only be an excellent engineer, the engineering must be closely related to the power generating subject which on SAU is a Rb25det motor along with all of its components. Yes I have a book of dyno sheets contain 1806 pages. that recorded the behavior of a Rb25det in many different aspects, its very useful in directing the shortest path archiving certain performance goals.
-
Pretty sure Its a Fake. I'm also seeing Fake ECUs, Turbosmart parts, HKS parts, and counterfeit of many known brands in China.
-
Sorry I didn't get any names in the package, I assume you are the guy from WA correct? if so then yes it has been received. just more power in this upgrade?
-
The cams I used was 264 dur / 9 Tomei from CJmotor, and only CJmotor has them. That was a waste of time and effort, made 3kws of power differences for 400RPMs of lag. For the HP level expected, standard cams works best. details are at: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/page-452

Can A T2 Be Used To Get 400Bhp From An Rb25 ?
hypergear replied to rasored's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You mean flange size? T3x has bigger flange size. It does not represent the A/R or the volume of the turbine housing.
