f**k that, i would be going to get legal advice, get the test done and if it is legal then talk to a lawyer about taking the cops to court to recover costs as they have no evidence to support there case, all they have one cops opinion with no facts to back it up. im sure there will be manu more SAUers in the same boat, the more people who take this to court the more this blitz will be shown as the scam it is.

I have also seen them in blue and yellow, have also noticed a few cop cars that are marked but dont have the roof lights, they are a lot harder to spot in traffic.

its an igniter (thats what it is commonly called), as i said, i could'nt find any way to test mine, just had to swap it with a working one, checked the part numbers and 25 and 20's are different.

Its the intranets, treat it like the media, believe nothing of what you read and only have of what you see. seen a few joe plods getting around but nothing major, not keeping an eye out for them any way since im driving the daily fairlane atm.

If you mean the igniter that is mounted on the back of the coil pack cover your shit out of luck, i tried to find ways of testing mine when i thought it had screwed up and found nothing, only way to test it is to find another that you know works and swap it over, i have a couple of spares but i dont think the 25 ones work on a 20.

mine runs at 75-85 thats far from hot and from what i have read most people run around that temp so if yours is getting hot (which i would class as a constant 90+) then you have other problesm you need to fix instead of masking the problem with a colder thermostat. and running cooler wont "harm" the car its the fact that the fuel and ignition maps are altered depending on engine temp so if it isnt in the range that the ecu likes then it wont be running at its best.

why the low temp thermostat? unless its getting hot there should be no need for it, it can actually be worse as cars are made to run properly at a certain temp and if it dosnt reach that temp they wont run to there full potential.

And if your that much of a tight arse then good luck with any upgrades you do, there is a reason why a lot of cheap parts are cheap but i guess you will find that out.

i paid $11 or $12 from memory, could have stolen the picture and printed it out but then i would have had to of gone and bought some sort of sticker paper and then a printer or gone to a friends and used there printer, in the end it was either hours of running around or 30 seconds + $12 and it was delivered to my door, maybe you like f**king around and wasting time to save a couple of dollars but i have better things to do.

To be more accurate the S1 has an igniter module (not separate igniters) and you can tell the difference by looking at the end of the coil pack cover as that is where the module is mounted, but as you mentioned its already been detailed in this thread.

It could be wrong but i heard that if you are in a vehicle that is constantly stopping and you are getting in and out and you do not exceed 40k's that you are exempt from wearing a seat belt.
