  1. today we say farewell to one of the greats, R.I.P Peter Brock
  2. SHAME! im not going to laugh when i see these any more
  3. whats CTP?
  4. why the RB25? if you want 500rwkw, i'd say RB30DET(T) would be alot easier, and probly cheaper
  5. sounds like the 'accident' was a little drift incident, on the street?
  6. for anyone that has sold one of these previously, was it difficult to get rid of? i know 33's are in general, but what about for this model? better or worse?
  7. isnt it controlled by the computer? if not maybe an adjustment screw on the throttle body?
  8. what about on an RB30 (vl commo)?
  9. there have been a few threads on this recently, the general consensus is taht no, not many do (only 1 or 2 that i've heard of). wait for more developement
  10. blow off valve releases the air when you let off the throttle, when the turbo is still spinning and making boost, the pressure builds up between the turbo and the closed throtle body, the blow off valve lets it out wastegate controls how fast the turbo is spinning and therefore how much boost its making. it does this by diverting exhaust gas around the turbine wheel of the turbo
  11. yeah i remember that too, Tiff test drove it in europe somewhere i think... he also said it was around $300,000, dunno what curencie that was ethier. it does look very nice and i would be very interested in one if i could afford one... or fit in one (only assuming i cant at this point)
  12. any idea on cost? it kinda reminds me of the ferrari style kit that veilside did for the NSX, but just taken further, too far actually
  13. yeah the hyabuse is a 1300, still pretty crazy
  14. come on people, this car has to find a new home
  15. it revs pretty high just to go 20km/h? higher than normal? sounds like a slipping clutch aswell as an ignition problem
  16. WD40... windows down @ 40 degrees seriously though, aircon is damn near a necessisty, keep it and run more boost to make up for the reduced power (you probly wouldnt notice it anyway if its only 5hp on a 350hp+ car, im assuming your project car will run this, if not more)
  17. i thought there was a few VLs around to runing very low times on LPG (and if not im damn sure there are some V8's), but on fullboost its sayin that the RED XE(F?) is the first running 9s on LPG. as for the backfiring, good systems hsouldnt do it. i was reading up on one the other day, an XR6T makin about 368rwkw (automatically switching between petrol and LPG as the injectors oculdnt supply enough LPG high in the rev range) and supposedly the guy started it and straight away gave it a good hard rev... no backfire, and if he did it that time, it would only have been because he knew it wouldnt backfire... so in short, wait for a bit more developement before going LPG. i thought LPG was at 110 too, but now that i know it isnt, its not lookin as appealing
  18. yes i'd have to say twin charger would be better/easier/cheaper/actually work than this, but it was a good idea, i've always got these things goin through my head, and i love reading about other peoples. good work! i think we should start a thread for this, everyones ideas of possibilities, although most will be unrealistic... would still be an interesting read, providing no-ones thinkin of stealing ideas/suing etc
  19. bump. does no-one want a cheap safe skyline?
  20. pics pics pics
  21. have you all seen the F1 vs. Super bike vs. the boat?
  22. somehting just occured to me, if you didnt have insurance, hence u got the car now for scrapping, did you hit anything else that now needs repairs? how much are you in debt for that if you dont mind me asking?
  23. Pics are now up, price now at $15,500. car is now for sale, no longer an e.o.i. PS head unit can be seen in pics, is JVC DVD player with USB aswell, just recently installed, still under warranty, pretty good SQ considering theres no external amp
  24. god damn, i've gotta ask how it happened? were u covered by insurance? if so talk to thema bout salvaging parts, if not, take the car apart completely, then just advertise u have heaps of parts
  25. assuming you wanna keep it RWD, then shouldnt be too difficult, there are a few around with this already done
