i didnt know you could run a car without an alternator
-
now that sounds more accurate, i also believe they hit 100MPH in under a second, not km/h. crazy sh!t and yes it hink the bugatti is a feat of engineering. an everyday supercar?
-
without actually watching it, im gonna say thats the veilside R32, and yes it did it in 13.72, but thats what ~1400HP gets you, aswell as consecutive 8 sec passes over the standing quater... on street tyres (nittos of course)

Got Bored Today, Modified Triple Gauge Cluster
VB- replied to walkoau's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
that was my next question, coz now u cant put a cap on it becoz its behind the plastic lens, and those things are really bright i.e. blinding -
thats what i thought ^^^, i thought it was only the 34s that didnt have the fuse....
-
why do u want/need one of the things? any problems (dimming lights etc) or just want to do it? while on the topic, does anyone know what the internals of those things are? alot of the car audio guys dont both with them i dont think... just use much better earthing
-
it looks too.... awkward. definately needs bigger rims, both diameter and width.
-
yeah but cops have these wonderful things called radios, they dont need to chase you, they let you go, then when you think its all good and drive like normal, there'll be heaps more of em waitin for you down the road, or better yet, on your doorstep
-
fake identities are a bit extreme, but a fake passport etc is like a grand for a good one, less than a 34 GT-R... 15 people killed since 97 and they do more for this than stopping drink drivers etc, it aint about savin lives. taking a drunk's licence away, and throwin him in jail will cost the stat money, auctioning off skylines will make HEAPS. mad082 - go steal a set of plates, do a runner. then the cops cant prove it was your car, even though there might not be many around like yours, but any half decent lawyer would make a mocary of it in court. in short, steal a set of plates, go race, ditch the plates, wait a few weeks till the heat blows over, go do it again. R32 gts-t, i know what you mean, and you prove my point from before, theres gonna be a hell of a lot more high speed chases, and not from crazed bank robbers and what not like you see on worlds wildest police videos, it will be people that cant stand to see their pride and joy get taken away from them, with no return/compensation, made even worse by the fact that you will be labeled a hoon when you arent meaning to do anything wrong, like your wet road situation. it happens to my mother sumtimes in a crap EA falcon, its damn sure to happen to some-one with a turbo skyline
-
might seem stupid, but you've checked for hydraulic leaks, the fuse, and bled the attessa system? P.S: that pumping noise is probly fuel pump anyway, dunno how loud attessa pump is compared to fuel pump, especially at atsrt up
-
oh forgot to ask, manual or auto?

Price Drop, Melbourne, Silver Series 2 R33 $14,000
VB- replied to VB-'s topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
bump, good first skyline, safe, being non turbo 4wd, and series 2 so dual airbags etc -
what needs to be done to complete the car? is it actually reg now?
-
has done only 59,XXXkms, everything is completely stock, sadly even the ugly 15's... never driven hard (by owner in Aus), just had minor service. very clean straight car. does have a slight rattle from exhaust under medium load around 3000rpm, like many of them do. personally i think this sounds alright, almost tough... selling to upgrade to WRX, lookin at ~$15,500, with reg till april next year. before anyone says it, i know you can get a turbo GTS-t for that much, but have a look at gts-4's and you'll see this price is pretty good. series 1's with twice as many kms sell for more than this, i know there are cheaper ones, but there is generally a reason for it. feel free to ask questions/flame at will cheers, VB-

might seem silly, but got any pics?

Lpg Conversion For Nissan Sklyines R33
VB- replied to jetpilot's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
well one of the people who i learnt from, told me that LPG is pretty damn good as a fuel. where now you pay $150 for 98 octane unleaded, i believe LPG is around 110 or 114 (just from memory, but could be wrong) if anyone knows for sure its octane, please let me know. another bonus was its tuneability, or the lack of, as it would happily run from stupidly rich, to stupidly lean by petrol standards. i think the biggest drawback at the moment is the lack of developement, and with the developement there is now, injectors still arent big enough to supply enough gas for serious power. mid life crisis, did you ever have your car featured, as i'm sure i've seen one or two of those old rotors running LPG, quite succesfully -
another one agreeing here, its getting kind of 'boring' nowm and as some-one else said, i also love the technical articles, and found the one about auto trans to be a good read, as i dont understand that much about em. zoom has sorta gone the same way too in my eyes, with less 'zoom' technical, and more 'hot 4's' technical. still my 2 fav mags though

uuhhh.. care to go into more detail? im kidna intriuged. is this for a trailer, as part of the tow package?

another thing i think alot of people dont see, is how many highspeed chases there are going to be now... i mean, if you own a 34 GT-R for example, if you've had it more than 12 months, odds are you payed 70-100k+, and i bet you've 'hooned' more than 3 times around the streets before, remembering that its at the discreition of the cops if you are hooning or not. now if on your third strike, say you were caught racing, when you see those blue and red lights in your mirror, and realise that this person is about to take away a minimum of 60k of your money, which you will never see again, you're going to try and avoid that. now take into consideration that you have a much faster car than the cop, then take into account that many people think they are a race-car driver... and here we have a massive increase in high-speed chases, and probly more of the tragic accidents that are supposed to be prevented, whether or not it will be less than the number of deaths from 'hooning' will be interesting to see. and more-over, it wont even be GT-R/Porsche/high end car owners doing runners, it will be bogans in the $500 VL that i want to buy after the first two strikes my skyline... seriously though, i dont actually own a skyline....

yeah, i dont know if square (same bore as stroke) motors are rev happy, motors with less stroke than bore tend to be more like that. take RB26 VS 2JZ, the 2JZ being square, this is one of the reasons they hold together so much longer than the RB26, coz they dont really have to rev to make the power.

i didnt actually think to check where u were, theres a 260cc limit in Vic, but i dunno bout NSW
