Alternative Clutch R33 Gtr - +300rwkw
VB- replied to WRRR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
whats your budget? i've read about those tilton tripple plates bein used in supras over in the US. they reckon its got a very light peddle, very soft engagin, and can handle upwards of 800HP, only problem is its US$5,000+ -
dont think they do, but the first accident (for those who don't know the story, everyone got uptight given him shit for all these accidents that werent his fault) was mostly rear supension, so maybe durin the repairs they used parts that werent entirely factory, probly not even nissan parts lol. just car insurance doesnt use OEM parts for repairs i dont think.....

did you steal it from HPI mag too?

The New World's Fastest Police Car

the little lights on top are a little homo.... like seeing a massive roid muncher with the deminished.... well yeah, you know what i mean... take the lights off the top and integrate em somewhere else. cant be very good for aerodynamics at 225mph? -
without having intimate knowledge of the nissan auto, my guess would be it is the signal for the 'force motor'. this lowers transmission pressres and makes shifts smoother, and by cutting the wire, it sees none, shifting very hard. normally ppl just use software and set the signal to 0 but this is another way of doing it. to make shifts smooth, the box just slips on the band, but when it bites hard like this, theres no slip, and less wear on the band, which actually means less wear and tare on the box, not more. in the case of gears being smashed, i dont htink this would happen, but thats just my opinion..... now that i've said all that im probly wrong any gurus confirm this?

power rd carales = arogant prics, cars arent THAT good JSA = go have a look in person and u'll see what i mean R33silverS2 is spot on, i have found kamikaze to be excellent. if i was ever to buy an import, i would definately be headin straight for them

i got it in 48.6.. anyone beat that?
-
advertise on ns.com. should find a buyer on there, the turbos i believe are a very common upgrade for CA18 and early SR20's. i also thought they were around the $1200... so $700 should sell quick

yes, all the weight transfers to the rear wheels, and compresses the suspension, and because all the weight is on the rear wheels, you get much better traction. many drag cars run soft suspension in the rear, and very firm in the front to aid this. sounds like your mates car has better tyres than yours also...

are there impact sensors in the front of the car that set em off in an accident? what sorta front bar? maybe the wind at 220km/h has set it off somehow? maybe bending the bar in or something? unlikely, but food for thought...
-
hey at least i was there for the first meet up, whats your excuse..... and yes, my gutless piece of sh*t, i am proud to say is an RB30E. only milk and juice come in 2 litres.....
-
omg, look at the guy standing next to it, doesnt even flinch, hasnt got his ears blocked.... balls of steel. other than that its pretty intesne, should put on ine an excel, and convert it to RWD.... space shouldnt be a problem... how much does it actually cost to build one of those motors anyway? they say the cars are worth millions, but thats with alot of R&D and carbon fibre pressure cookers lol, but with the basic specs and materials, how much would it cost to build one?

The Last Of The Monaros To Be 500hp...

the thing skates with traction control on.... its the shit! -
1. imagine coming into a turn hard under brakes, you hit the smallest of bumps, you bounce off the road, so you've lost 2m of effective braking, and u lock up aswell, going straight not around the corner. 2. no useable torque range. to have any effect u'd wanna hit 15,000 rpm. if you can get an F1 car to pass EPA, let me know 3. if you want supreme handling, the sound system is the first thing to go to try and save weight, if you want music, you have it in front of you, except the sub, noises below about 200hz arent directional (i think, lol) aerodynamics and downforce is way better than adding weight/moving wieght for handling. also, weight balance is good, but its not the only thing that makes the S2000 a good handling car, chassis design/setup etc has a big effect. 4. yeh last time i heard they had to be road regiestered (with certain exceptions of course, they have special rego), but other than that i dont see why they dont just run a dump pipe and just end it there.... edit - as for the V10, production/production costs/effort required to put one together as opposed to a 4cyl. you have an extra 6 cylders to drop in, 6 extra rods, and also everything is smaller so its harder to work with, but overall the motor would be heaps bigger IMO, which leads me to my last point... packaging... V10>toyota corolla

of course they're welcome. and if anyone says there not, f*ck em, they'll probly be hangin sh*t on my VL anyway....
-
yeh i'll be back there too, but might bring the almighty VL with me next time... hehe *please dont hurt me*

i thought rocket industries stocked momo but lookin on there site i cant find anything? anyone else know?
-
just jap its on there, they only show the real one now, i know they sell a knock-off of it that sounds exactly the same for under $100, but dunno why its not up there now?
-
then add to that, the fact that they disintegrate and u get bits of sh*t sucked into ur motor. i've heard some of these horror stories from ppl on other forums, so yeah i really wouldnt bother. how much is he lookin at paying for the electric supercahger? maybe you/us could guide him a bit better with his money

get two high flowing cats and run them in parrellel on a stright bit of pipe, never seen anyone do this but i rkn it would help flow a bit?

Luckiest Bastard In The World, I Mean Australia
VB- replied to GTR Power's topic in General Automotive Discussion
thats the car thats in dutton rally, is it the same one thats on the cover of autosalon magazine? that one had different plates but i thought there was only one in australia? -
u cant use torque figures at the wheels, cause transmision type/gear ratios will have a massive effect on readings. i think you need to use an engine dyno to get accurate toque figures
-
yeah it doesnt line up properly, my guess is its a cheap kit, not a genuine big name one. bonnet gaps look way out aswell, my guess is the cars been smashed in the front.
-
take into consideration now that GENIIIs are gettin as cheap as R33's, and then factor in that its alot cheaper to get 300rwkw in an LS1. i honestly cannot think of ever seeing a skyline make 300 at the wheels without a built motor, or at least a basic rebuild with forgies, then add in the bigger turbo, fuel system etc. GENII+4k capa supercharger+exhaust and tune=300+rwkw with fairly good reliabilty.... or so im lead to believe
