  2. yeh arent they just resistors put somewhere to lean out the air:fuel ratios? yes u probly will get more power, followed by a strange pinging, which will then subside after the massive explosion under the bonnet
  3. that vids been around for ages, and i think its german, not jap? anyway, still an awesome vid. there was a recent auto show in japan where some nut of a test driver was supposedly 'drifting' an F1 car. still trying to find a video on that though

  6. its gotta be calsonic, altho good ol' nissan comes to mind, if anyone is ever to mention a 34 GTR a bayside blue one is the first thing that pops into my head. what about yellow - penzoil/jun (was there R34 demo car yellow or white?) silver - blitz aswell grey - veilside (R32) white - cailside - (R34) harlequin - Signal auto PS kismo was blue i think, and the do luck one is kinda blue/purple.
  7. is 11km/h over the limit alleged or actual whatever it is. surely radar guns arent 100% accurate, u might be able to get em down to 10km/h, which will only be one point instead of 3
  8. yeh its about $600 if you get caught. i knew someone that got done like 6 times.. (from like 16-18y.o) now i dont tihnk he can get his L's till hes 21 or something.
  9. comp test X3 timing belt/cam timing check all sensors are working except the ones u dont need like knock etc (could just have an electrical gremlin somehwere) tuning - where did you get it done? take it t a reputable tuner what dyno/how was it run?

  12. too hard to choose, but some tuned exotics would be nice, like the aftermarket german and italian companies. AC shnitzer, Alpina, Henmann, Gemballa of course. that kellman SL55 looks like sex on wheels better than that though, IMO is this:

  14. that title is a bit misleading, as technically, wouldnt that ferrari be an import? its not the same type of import as everyones skylines, but its still an import isnt it?
  15. whats involved with this? any specific experience required? i havent really done much study with computers, but i know a bit.... lol
  16. i drive said sh*tbox and its really not that bad, although its probly not what you want. N15 seems reasonable, how about a V8 soarer, they're legal as far as i know for P platers, have all the luxuries you want. its a luxury car, so its less tempting to speed in it, its just a cruiser.
  17. the tiptronic is still an auto box, meaning greater power loss, and shifts that are similar to a manual (maybe a just a bit quicker/slower whatever, but not much in it), so in stock form i'd imagine it would be slower down the quater or on a track... if the auto was properly built, then it would absolutely destroy the manual for quater mile performance

  20. dont know what brands to get, but extractors, cat, cat back exhaust, replacement panel filter, maybe even chip the ECU... dont bother with the RB26 head, it probly will give you minor increase in performance, but last time i saw an RB25DE head was worth about $1200, so im guessin an RB26 one would be around the $2k mark, if not more?
  21. if its been impacted hard enough to shatter the bellhousing, what makes uthink the internals will be workin like normal? i've not come across a gearbox thats had this happen, but logic tells me it wouldnt be that good?
  22. im assuming you could, just locate the force motor, then cut the wire to it, or even put in a dash mounted switch, one for cruisin with friends, one for going quick. persoanlly i like the feeling of a shift kitted auto.. but yeah some people might not, and i guess it i actually owned a shift kitted auto i might get sick of it too....
  23. well you'll have to get it on a dyno to get it runnin right anyway (i think), so you can either reset the ECU and let it learn to idle, then take it to a tuner for a complete remap, or just take it to a tuner and let him make minor adjustments to the main maps, then maybe mess around with it to try and get it to idle. im not completely sure on the retuning thing just for bigger injectors, but its just what i'd do
  24. honestly, if you go with someone like justcars, there probly wont be all that much in it for insurance. the example i always use is two mates i have, on with an R34 GTt who pays the same premium as one with an R33 GTS
  25. lol god knows how many millions of dollars of developement there are in that. why not just learn to park? anyway has that tech been around for a while? im sure i've seen it on one of the low spec toyotas too... maybe a concept tho
