Duncan: I was just reading a post you did a while ago in the motorsport section which illustrated your solution (with pics) I don't need to go a a solid tow hook, it's only what I have seen around. So the reo bar is strong enough to withstand this load? Husky33: Where abouts did you buy the strap? revolution race gear??

Hey Guys, Wasn't sure where to put this post, hopefully this is the correct section. I'm getting my car ready for track, and I need to install a front tow hook to comply. My front end is completely removed during my A/C removal, so now is the best time to put one on. I have looked at the generic one's at various race shops, but they all look to short. Has anyone here done this, is so what spec tow hook did you use and any pics of install? Help much appreciated. Cheers

Really.. Any reason why? Nissan AU can get these? or better through justjap? Cheers

Hey Guys, Sprung a oil leak on the weekend, jacked the car up with it running (on stands etc..) and found that the oil feed to the rear turbo is leaking a fair amount of oil (trickling). Seem like it might have a crack, as the banjo bolt is still tight and washers present... So my question is, where do you guys source a braided line kit for twin GT2530's?, Or do I just remove all the lines and take them to a shop to get made on the spot? Also, possible to change over without removing the turbo's? Cheers

Hey Guys, I'm having a hard time sourcing some after market tie rod ends for a R32GTR locally. I can find them easily on sites such as "rhdjapan" or "nengun. But they all have long shipping times, along with the large price tag.. (easily $400) I have read that all GTR tie rod ends are the same?? Are the GTS-t parts the same as the GTR. Justjap have them available for R32/33/34 GTS't, but not GTR. Will these fit my vehicle? Preferable I would want rose jointed. Any help appreciated. Cheers

As topic states, After a good condition front right (drivers) hub assembly, no bearing movement with good wheel stud condition required. Also after some pillow ball front tie rods ends for R32GTR Cheers

Agree, There was. I think the main problem you will face compared to Australia is finding somwhere to live that you can have a proper garage with a set of tools etc. 90% of residence here is Apartments with shared basement parking. You can however get yourself a nice villa in Dubai but you are going to have to pay premium. Unless you move further out to Sharjah, but traffic from Sharjah to work everyday would drive you absolutely insane! Cheers Josh

Hey, I have also lived in Dubai for a few years now. There is NO japanese performance scene here, only minor european modifications. I have been to all the Emirates in the UAE searching for some signs of a car scene with no luck. All there is to do here is work/eat and shop, with the occasional night club. check out this car forum in dubai. www.evolve.ae and make your own mind up. Dubai is a place full of pretenders and wannabees. Trust me, I have worked for government and commercial sectors. Cheers Josh

Hey Peoples Just getting the Stereo on my car figured out, I want to have a 10 or 12" subwoofer with an amp for the sub and another one for the speakers. My dilemma is that I don't want to waste to much boost space and I hate those pre-made sub boxes things that you chuck in your boot and go. So I need some idea and photo's of different types of boot installs on Skylines. I have an R34 but I'm guessing most skylines have very simlar boots. Cheers Josh

Cheers, I finally found it. Its similar but right underneath the little coin pocket thing on the drivers side. -Josh

Hey People's I am trying to do a diagnostic check because my engine light is staying on. I have read the forum, but no one has actually posted the actual spot. I know it's under the driver's dash. But where and what color is the plug etc. A photo or detailed description would be great! Cheers Josh

I can vouch for Famous, 2 of my mates wrecked jap imports without a third party involved, each car had been modified with the usual. The representative came out and had a look, lodged the paper work and it was done! I am also with famous myself, haven't needed to make a claim though. So far I have been impressed. One thing you have to remember is that there office is in Perth, so if you are on the east cost you have to remember the time difference. Unfortunately they don't have an emergency line though, so you have to do it all in working hours. Cheers Josh -
Thanks for answering my questions guys! -Josh

Hey Guys, Sorry to butt in, Haven't had much experience with HICAS and don't drive my car frequently enough to experience it's downfalls. But what is the max amount of turn that HICAS alters on the 34? or 33? I'm guessing it would be the same. Cheers Josh

Fuse or sometimes they have a little circuit breaker on the back of the lighter socket. Cheers Josh

^^ I thought of them, but I find them really arrogant, I used to deal with them when I worked at mistu regarding FTO's and the 3000GT. Hope I haven't offended anyone here. Cheers Josh
