Ok 3 years ago I saw lots of GTR32's and was put off by age and the interior. Not to mention the plain front end and plain wing or even no wing. Paint work was ageing and needed to seeif I really wanted to spend $20 for a re-built motor and second hand gear box. Not to mention a smaller clutch which would just chew up every time I launched. They did not come with the larger calipers, not to mention a crank that needs a collar.(At the time collars were $300) Not to mention the room in the back seats.( I have two kids) These all were around $23K at the time. Saw many GTR33's that were looking quite shabby. paint. Interiors etc etc. They though had better brakes and the extra leg room in the rear not to mention the electronic 4wd. The car had a great front look with the badge and a good looking stock Wing too. Quite curvy but I like that. These were all around $35K at the time. Did not like any of the 10 or so I found. As far as the GTR34...they were nearly bullet proof but were $75K at the time. They look the nicest. Great front and back end.The sides though should have been a bit larger(Should have flared the guards more or something..Looks to much like a GTT I was just about to buy an Evo 6 when I came across mine. OK thats my story. Today I would just buy the GTR34 and be done with it. You are all asking for troubles if you buy either a GTR32 or 33 You may be luckier with a GTR34... All cars are ageing and will need a motor re-build and gear-box attention in the future. All the performance mods cost the same., after all they all run similar running gears and they are the same car really but with a different shell.

First thing first. Your tyres were either cold or not suited for wet weather. You may have also under-estimated dust or rocks in this corner, they don't help with grip. Even a good set of wet weather tyres not warmed up will get you all messy in the wet. The 4WS also has its down falls...giving you .sometimes a nasty kick to one side. Unfortunately it is the side you are sliding towards......lol And yes...just because your driving a GTR does not make you safe. The car will bite you when you least expect it. Drive safely until you get on a track with some sliding room......then you will see how good they are. Oh the -5's need, cams, cam gears, larger injectors and better fuel pump. Not to mention a a after market computer with a tuner that knows what he is doing to get a great response from. -7's would have given up the puff a long time ago for me.

Depends on a few things. How well your reaction time is? Who gave you your Dyno sheet and was it accurate? Who tuned your car? Will it be wet or dry? How good is your clutch? I will though take a guess. You will be in the high 12's.

Hey Juliette, I am sure you have some words.......... You just don't want to share with us. GTR Spoilers must be cheap.....if it is original that is. I have just one word. Why

I thought it was a gear box..lol...not an engine.

GTech you said....that says a lot. I am sorry to hear. Have heard many horror stories about them. Have witnessed one myself at Glenroy Exhaust. GTech forgot to earth the computer and sent this poor sod to get a tip welded. His computer was fried. I think they fried it and were covering it up. I had an oil leek and got a quote of $3000 to fix from them...lol It was the front and rear seals. I was told to sit down for the news on my repair costs. I know its a Public Forum....but there should be a member stand against these sorts of people. A section of the Forum, exclusive to paying members to view. 1-Cost of repairs 2-Faults detected and prices to fix. 3-Workshops that are honest and true to clients. 4- Rip offs. In fact a cost from some workshops to price a 100K service for all our cars would be great. The cost of a oil and filter change even trips me out these days, and what some pay. Would love to see some workshops come on board and give us set prices for a particular car. It may have only been a temprature sensor, but they must have pulled everything apart. Played with your AFM, then the tune and then left a few things off and tried running it. Tripped a few things and fried your computer. I mean he did give you back the car blowing smoke. God knows if he even knows how this computer works. Forgot what he did, put it back together and gave it to you, knowing well you would call the next day. Do not take it back, I am warning you. After fixing your problem, post it up here for everyone to read.

Hello all, Doing a re-build so I require a stock RB26 Block...86mm. If you have a broken bottom end and want to get rid of it, that is good too. Require block or bottom end in Melbourne as I will need to inspect it prior to buying. Cheers Tekin

What Turbo's are you running?

Had the same problem as you. I got a quote awhile back....around $1800 Believe it was Trans, gears and diffs. in Thomastown. Drive in and leave for 3 days. I found out I could prolong the life of the syncros by using Lightweight Shockproof. Bursons sell it for around $120....change gear oil wait for around 500k's and presto...lol....no more problem. 20 thousand k's later and still going strong. Highly recommend this to anyone who is having troubles with their boxes......

How Would You Build A Street Sleeper?
700HP-GTR33 replied to R33_Dude's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Infinity Q45......Supercharged or Turbo attached with nitrous...... NO ONE WILL EXPECT THAT By memory it had a 0 to 100k's in 5.5 seconds stock......that kills all the XR6 Turbo's and SS's. How to get more power down to the ground may be an issue though.... maybe lots of sand bags in the boot above the rear tyres... -
OK...you were nice about it....be up tomorrow for your viewing.

LOL.....$10 buxs he gets an off the shelf one..then gets a defect then gets a muffler replacement (1 and a half inch outlet type so he can pass . But seriously...a well built custom job is the way to go. I have a large resinator...kakimoto...and a large custom side entry muffler(great for any gtr)..3 1/2 inch stainless and am way under 88db...lol The muffler was made to fit the entire available area....a bit of weight...but I have no head aches anymore. Should post up a pic.....
