  1. My first car was a non turbo R33, just take it easy in the wet, even a n/a can get twitchy in the rain Expensive insurance, if you can't afford comprehensive then I'd forget about driving one it will use more fuel compared to say a lancer or corolla, but being an n/a it will survive on 95 petrol so it could even itself out. Do your homework, if it's got a mega scratch on one side that's probably not the only thing wrong with it. If you want a skyline, get one! With the supply of fuel going the way it is we'll probably be driving around fred flintstone style in the next couple of decades yabadabadoo Good luck!
  2. Mate, willing to sell the A/F guage separately? I'll definitely buy it if you can separate, it's a smoked face guage and is the A/F guage that doesn't have a warning light mine did and it's a pain in the ass
  3. list of mods and specs like turbo etc. would help shed some light for the guys on here
  4. IF you need to go the n/a route, I'd suggest looking for a GT-X(?) It's meant to have the turbo version goodies, like bigger brakes etc, just n/a then when you do eventually turbo it it will be like a GT-t P.S don't ask me any details on the car I just mentioned coz I only know about it from what I've read on this forum
  5. shoehorned a mate's mountain bike in the backseat of my old R33 Coupe. had to take both wheels off and it left some chain grease on my backseat, lucky it came out easily
  6. I have them on my r34, I could post a pic if that would that help? they do make a noticeable difference, especially if you have any exterior carbon pieces already
  7. More like he popped the bonnet and didn't see a bright colour pod and bling bling fmic piping so he assumed it was stock I had my i/c piping painted black and cut a section of the stock snorkel to fit around the piping. I also have a pod shielding around my filter that I painted black aswell, only somebody who knew what they were looking at could tell it wasn't stock.
  8. Hey mate here's the pics, It's been raining in my area recently so I taped up the holes with industrial grade tape, the stuff they use temporarily on light poles and traffic lights. Like I said, 7 freakin bolt holes and I added a pic of the GTR wing I'm gonna put on
  9. lol that's assuming the changes are actually "enhancements" The epitomy of rice to me is a GT wing on a civic or commodore, wankers who put chevvy badges on their commos GTS owners who put GTR bages on their lines honda owners who put red H badges on their garden variety civic or integra Chromies Little <2.0L buzzboxes with bodykits and wheels with a milo tin hanging off the rear bar sounding like a wet fart down the street as their auto box shifts from 2nd to 3rd need I continue? As my understanding has it, the term rice was originally used as the term "rice burner" referring to Japanese cars, this in turn led to "rice" or "riced up" cars referring to japanese car owners who added bodykits exhausts, big wings and decals on their cars ala fast and furious style anyone have a different opinion?
  10. lol so that's why... on a serious note; I have a HKS hi power silent, I found it wasn't any louder than my stock exhaust(came with optional factory sport muffler from japan) but it had a deeper, meatier tone on idle and at high revs really growls rather than sound like a wet fart sometimes I turn the radio off just to listen to it when I drive. I'm saving up to eventually get a titanium exhaust for the Z
  11. That's what I like to see! A nice clean silver R34. I have a nismo sticker in exactly the same place hehehe. So how's things anyway mate? I'm pretty sure you bought an engine cover off me before. Don't get me wrong I like the wingless look, but I prefer the look of a GTR spoiler. RSPEC: U'll have a pic soon mate
  12. Sure mate, I'll post a pic when I can I'm gonna do it properly and have some backing plates welded to the inside of the holes before they bog it up. If they take their time and do it properly there shouldn't be any warping in the metal. Can't wait to put the GTR style wing on. I was originally going to just have no spoiler at all, but seeing a few wingless R34's in person it just seemed too much like a sedan to me, defeating the purpose of buying a coupe IMO
  13. pm me if you're willing to sell frontbar separately
  14. uhh don't know which one you're talking about I've taken mine off and it left 7 holes on each side quarter, I'll post pics if you don't believe me
  15. My car looks like that now lol I've already bought a copy GTR wing, just need to fin time to have it painted and the holes patched up. Bloody Nissan, the side wing parts leave 7 gaping holes on each side of the rear quarters
  16. If you get it now It will only be an investment for the future, as you add more bits and pieces to your car you will need to get your car tuned anyway. I actually bought my power FC first, then saved and did all my mods one at a time, had my power fc sit in my closet for about 5 months. once all my mods were done I had the power FC installed and my car tuned all in one hit, saved a bit of money in the long run
  17. wow, the GTR looked like it was gonna swallow the other cars, really deserves the nickname godzilla hehe can't wait to see them getting around oz
  18. as far as unmarked cars goes... I've seen a bright orange BA falcon A candy green AU shape falcon and a red VE commodore black SS ute all pulling people over in that area. Thank god I drive a company car, and not drive like a moron of course
  19. They still use the same thread on current models AFAIK, I'm actually using a Ti Xtrail leather gear knob on my skyline, looks good and has the shift pattern already on the knob
  20. 13 is my uneducated guess...
  21. could be similar, I don't know as I have an aero front bar... I had to rewire the pumps and extend the hoses once I twisted mine as the standard wires and hoses weren't long enough to reach the new position. Hope it works out for ya, PJ
  22. pm me when we have the numbers and I'll make payment asap
  23. have a read of this... Washer bottle post #6
  24. I'd get the Coupe shape in the V35, but that's just me... You wouldn't be purchasing the car through japlink would you? I bought my R43 there, the pic looks like their caryard
  25. I'd say 17's are best for ride comfort, but they can look really tiny in the rear guards especially on R33's, 18's are the best compromise of looks and ride comfort. 19's are shocking to drive on NSW roads, but if you're after looks I guess you can put up with a bit of discomfort, that's probably why women put up with high heels after all. You COULD buy the trash they have at Tempe or Ozzy tyres, lot of mates bought from there and never had problems with their wheels. But I could only put Japanese made wheels on my cars, I'd rather have stock wheels than Bob Jane/Ozzy wheels. Maybe I'm just picky? Each to their own as they say, but in my opinion, you spend a bit of money to get a quality car, why ruin it with cheapO rims that every 2nd civic or lancer will have in a 4 stud pattern? same goes for tyres too.
