  1. Your always gonna need a gasket here and a meat pie there so its always a good idea to have a spare $300 for extra's.... Like new oil and coolant... you know just price out the major bits and leave a spare few dollars to get the little bits....
  2. well fabricate a fuel rail... cost me nothing to make mine apart from a few connections about $40.... holds 800ml of fuel in it....
  3. talk to the hand... childish just childish... You didnt rub me the right way... im sorry just i read things the way their typed.
  4. As for the rb25det motor you already have!!!! It depends on the damage caused from the first blow out. But pistons/rods/bearings and of course injectors are must's. Cams/pfc/fuel pump & tuning are all needed to continue the power for a decent amount of time... Stage 1 Pistons $1000 Rods $500 (use shocked rb25 ones) bearings $240 (use standard new bearings) Injectors 550cc $1000 (HKS/Nismo/Sard what ever brand) Stage 2 Cams $600 (jun/hks... used would be fine also) PFC $1000 Fuel pump $280 (bosch 040) Tuning $???? anywhere up to 1 grand Thats what i did.... Cheers Colin
  5. I hate it when i share info from my years with working on motor cars and some shit head come in today and picks a post fight with in his first 3 posts... at the age of 13.... Ive had it with know all's.... The topic was for help and suggestions... If you dont agree then dont say so. Just post what you would do not disagree with what some one else would do... About 2 years ago i purchased an r32 GTR front cut. Over the next 3 months I implanted it into a VB commodore (cheap car to piss off the common dore hoons) This car set me back 6k for the half cut (sold the trany/intercooler & front axel for 2.5k) Then spent this money on pfc/fuel pump/dyno time/jun cams and it achieved 312rwkw and the car is almost indestructable. I used the brakes from a later commodore as gtr brakes were not compatible with out extensicve mods. Total project cost inc car 8g's tuned and sold it for 15g's So i guess im just a beginner...
  6. sounds good to me steve... Good job
  7. how rude and insolant can you be.... im off topic now... With people like this on the forums i wonder why im here... To add to this via the way of an edit: AGE 13 and joined this month... yep you know everything im sorry we will all bow to your knowledge. I wish the forums had found you sooner. This way you could have become god at a younger age.
  8. I have always used adjustable fuel pressure reg's with gadges and set them to 40psi at idle... By the time 0 atmos comes it should be about 50-55psi then when boost comes on im not under the bonnet looking so i dont know... LOL
  9. RB26dett with 2k spent on it in the right areas will give you 300rwkw all day every day....
  10. Remember 6k will get you a half cut... So you could sell off the trans and other bits then use the brakes and sell the intercooler... By the time you buy and sell stuff you will have like 2g's left over to spend on cams, pfc & fuel pump..... Thats what id do with 6 g's... And of course youll get a few bucks for the blown motor
  11. Spend you 6k on an rb26 motor and go hard in standard format.... It will be fun... Then when someone is selling second hand bits off their gtr... Jump in and buy their stuff
  12. I went backwards in the old skyline with ansafc but it imporved the fuel econ heaps and made for a smoother aplication of power.... Id recomend it if you dont want to go to a pfc... Althought in saying that i reckon pfc set up properly will be better bang for your buck... and you motor will last longer tuned with a pfc properly... There are many who say they can tune a safc but the reality is that if you get it wrong you will lean out and something will go bang.....
  13. Just to confirm parts will be aviable for collection/postage after next sunday 17th July...
  14. Then i got to pay a $15 chep charge for using one of their pallets but im sure i can cover that... LOL Oh and it would take 2 days to ship to you... I just estimated the postcode to be 3000 (as in melbourne city)
  15. um.... not sure how much it would cost to do that and via what transport??? Im guessing i can put it on a pallet and send it via Air roads or star track express or something... Ok i just called star track express and they said $220 for a motor on a pallet to melbourne. Then i can send the loom and ECU (extra bits) in a box on the same pallet just to keep them safe.
  16. I reckon there are too many sticky's in most of the forums... Like the for sale section. Cant you combine the bad traders into one thread and limit the number of sticky's being posted..... Its just it takes up half a pages with just sticky's....
  17. yep Nics is the red top.... ECCS is the silver top
  18. As stated above.... Im ripping out a few parts from the newer r33 and replacing with after market parts... 1. Stock suspension (rear springs are aftermarket) standard height tho $200 whole lot (shocks/springs) so year $200 (will separate if needed) 2. Standard exhaust cam gear $50 3. Standard fuel pressure reg $50 4. Standard boost solinoid $50 5. Standard BOV $50 6. Standard fuel pump (in tank) $100 7. R32 timing belt $50 (brand new gates brand) 8. Standard exhaust manifold $50 9. Standard heat sheilds (turbo/exhaust manifold) $20 All parts are great condition and very servicable. Pick up is perfered from Brisbane Northside but if postage is needed then its at the buyers expense. Please PM for account details or cash on pick up. Will keep up to date with sold items and held items. Thanks Colin
  19. As stated in topic..... Complete motor minus turbo..... *Block *head *loom *ECU *AFM *all other electronic parts *new reco injectors on this head (same as VL Turbo) and one brand new Like i said only thing missing is the turbo Motor has done 130k, Yes i advertised it before. Im just sick of it now... So i am clean out my parents shed due to an up comming move. So i ask $500 firm for the whole thing. Wreakers will give me $500 but id prefer to sell to an SAU user rather than a wreaker... I was originally looking for 1200 bucks but i have come to relize its not worth that much... The AFM alone is only 1 year old now and cost me $850 from Nissan.... So pm or call 0433 123 024 Firm $500 Located Brisbane North Side

  21. Ok been down to auto barn to pick up the following... Im doing a little more than expected but yeah the yellow 33 is too slow so its time to upgrade everything.... I drive the yellow one daily and the other on the weekends... But i want more power so here is my shoping list.... 1. HSK Timing gear 2. Bosch 040 fuel pump 3. Adjustable fuel pressure reg 4. auto meter gadge for fuel pressure reg 5. new fuel hose 3 metres (be in next week) 6. King springs lowered 1 inch front & rear 7. Bilstein shocks front and rear (be in next week) 8. timing belt (be in next week) 9. Water pump (thought i may as well while im there) 10. Blitz bolt on cat back exhaust (still in to come from japan) Now all i need is the car back from the body works and 2 days worth of fun ahead... Stay tuned as ill do a pic by pic next week.... Not a bad way to spend 3 g's in one day i reckon.... I thought id better do the exhaust finally. The dump pipe is already done just wanted a quiet ride, but now i want to join the masses with a deep note exhaust. Once the back half of the exhaust is done then ill replace the cat with a 3" unit and all will be complete for this phase of mods.... In the months to come Richard from ARE will do my intercooler and ill order the PFC. Once these are done ill upgrade the injectors again to a higher flow rate and ill seel the car with a good polish then its all over for me.... No more mods after that.... As for the other skyline i sold it and this is why im going all out on the yellow one....
  22. True.... But the retarded timing on the inlet cam should be left up to the ecu and the vvt to do. If you start messing with the standard timing and the exhaust timing this is enough. Little lone messing with the already variable inlet cam..... You would have to disable vvt to use it properly. This would be fine if all you wanted was power or torque... VVT allows the car to have both....
  23. Well previous tests show that with the variable inlet cam that there are no advantages on an rb25set. So no one i know has ever bothered doing one on the inlet cam. I do know one guy who did it, only cause he wanted a pretty purple HKS timing gear showing through his nice clear timing case covering.... But yeah each time they played with it on the dyno it had worse results that at 0 degres (standard setting).... So what im trying to say is there is no point....
  24. lol "introduce it to your wallet".... your a crack up
