  6. Today i got an email from [email protected] Email states and refers to my purchase of a service manual on ebay. 2 weeks ago i purchased a service manual for R32/33 for $36 inc delivery. This manual is awsome, has everything to do with the engine on all varients of the R32 and 33. I noticed a statement on the second page noting that this document cannot be coppied and so forth. This manual is a gen Nissan manual. It had been scaned to Adobe and saved in pdf. Anyway back to the email. It says that im in breach of copyright laws by purchasing a copy of this manual and that i will be summonsed to apear in a court of law in the following weeks. So i wrote back to this email address and just got a delivery failure notice. I dont understand, I noticed all the manuals have disappeared from ebay and no one seems to be selling them atm. I also notice someone on the forums selling a similar product. Anyone know what this is about and what may happen. I called legal advice, they said it seems a bit of BS as they dont send emails saying they will summons you. They will just rock up at your house at night and summons you personally with no warning. Im a little worried, so i better post a dont buy these guides online warning.
  7. I found in my boot yesterday a Tomie Hicas Lock Modual. It has about 5 wires coming out of it and going into the hicas ecu. Whats the go, is this a cheap nasty way of doing hicas lock. I didnt even know i had it. Just found it stuck to the ECU with double sided tape yesterday.
  8. This topic reminded me of the protein stains topic in the wasteland.... Use a fabric cleaner and pick it off with finger nails if on fabric.... If on dash or some plastic part then use metho or thinners and onc again pick it off with finger nails.
  9. I had same problem... replaced the AAC and nothing happened. Replaced the AFM and that fixed the problem.
  10. Thats right... I found the mag.... You remember it too. It does say that the rotor was a little sloppy round low speed corners and needed boost to get up and boogy. The Sr20 was chosen over the rb20 because of weight tho.
  11. Ok finished the WRX. Took it for a run at 20psi. Hit record on the device in graph mode. Spools up to 19.7psi by 3700rpm. Then holds with minor movement of 0.4 psi threw to red line. The graph looks nice, very fast onset and holds. She starts at around 19.7 then slightlly climbs to 20.1psi towards 5500rpm then lets down a little to 19.9 at redline. I would call that very good. I am very happy with this result and the guy is wrapped. As his old bleed valve spiked to 25 psi every now and then. Before anyone asks about mods on this WRX ill tell you its fairly standard and yes i told him 20psi is a little to much, he srugged it off.
  12. Do not drill the head. You have about 7 mm of alloy before you hit water. So the answer is no, dont drill. Sell you top mount manifold to me for 50 bucks and go buy a new one for the 26 motor..... Seriouslly sell it on the forums for a couple of hundred bucks and then go buy one to suit.
  13. I have a really old zoom mag. Where they fitted a rx7 series 6 with a Sr20det. It was not much of a mazda, just a roll cage with a shell over it. They changed to a sr20 because its a track car and they needed loads of tourque for low speed cornering. So they went the sr20 to keep the weight down.
  14. Well i guess you'll have to wait to find out. As if i were to do that today id be back tommorrow with a new topic "I blew my motor beacue i was an idiot" LOL I will let you know, im doing one atm on a WRX. He is running 20psi atm on a bleed valve, so i convinced him he needs to go electronic. We will fit it later and monitor its progress. NOTE: Wrx's are quite easy to work on, this should only take us an hour to fit.
  15. Good info Ian. I have installed a few HKS units. I just didnt like the looks of them and they have limited features compaired to Apexi and Blitz. I have not experienced any drop off with the Blitz unit when set in manual mode. Went to dyno and the boost grapg was perfect. It was on 9.8 then touched 10.1 and up and down 0.3 psi. The graph is almost perfect, a 0.3psi fluctuation is nothing and the guy at dyno was blown away as to how acurate it was on an internal wastegate turbo. Cheer Col NOTE: If anyone else has had experiences with different boost controllers please feel free to write it up.

    Yeah sorry. I got a bit carried away... Just a bit.... Anyway, yeah someone will have to be there. (col) can i borrow your FA18 fighter jet Mr. RAAF Pilot (raaf pilot) NO you know what i mean. If you have a guys to do your PFC and he doesent have a dyno then yer it should be fine. Get a place with a dyno and ask them for its use. Supply your own man and it should be fine....

  20. Dimentions??? The control unit (hand controler) about the size of a half a packet of smokes. The brain box about the size of a packet of smokes but thinner. The sol under the hood about 2 packets of smoke on top of each other. Please note all smoke packs refered to were B&H 25 hard packs.... (Medium 12 version) LOL
  21. I checked it out during the week. The marburg idea sounded good until i drove there. I got there i think and that was it. I looked round 360 degres and saw nothing. There is basiclly not much there at all. West bound cruise would be nice as its a little different. Maby a shorter cruise like say toowoomba. We have many fellow SAU friends out there. Lets go say G'Day. Then all we need is a park, a cricket bat and a tennis ball. Then we are set.
  22. I go to my back yard.... Most trust worthy place round.... No offence to the workshops suggested, but i have been burnt badllyh with my last car at the 2 shops i took it too.... Non of the sponcer shops were involved. But i will be visiting Mercury in the near future as their close and their a sponcer. I was impressed with the workshop at the BBQ. A motorsport shop with Motul oils in the 20 litre drums. Now thats quality, also their dyno was very nice and the guys were frendlly. So i will be using them to tune the PFC as you need a dyno and i may as well use them. (Because their a sponcer mainlly, support your sponcers)

Nah just joking, maby contact kanga them selves and tell them the serial or vin for this unit and see if they have any ideas on how to track it down... EG> If someone comes to me looking for a PSU for a notebook i ask for the P/N and the S/N. If they give me the numbers i order the part. If they dont give me the serial, i walk out after them and take their rego for the police. I explain why i need the S/N, most dont comply and walk away, as they know if they give it to me. It will be listed stolen, and i need their details for the order.
