Go a Rb30 bottom end .... very cheap and new pistons from toda are as cheap as too.... rings and bearings from AVO and youll just need a new after market ecu... done.... Oh and a new turbo HKS 2540 Not serious power 400+kw's.......HEHEHE

get a timing light for one.... check she about 11degres ret... if you dont know what that is just go and get it done... No big deal... Then if you can offord it get an apexi safc as a replace ment AFM brand new is over $800... Trust me i bought one.....

No joke.... Put a banana peel in it when you go to sell it and it will stop the wining for a few weeks.... Loads of dodgy people do it... In the mean time just change the oil and drive it not allot you can do but wait til she blows.... There are a few stop wining products aviable at super cheap however i think they just thicken the oil and that not always a good thing....

Still got it.... Have had an offer for $180... Brand new cndition, I still have the box/manual/original face plate aswell.... Im looking for it to go over 220.... Their still $569 at the optus shop brand new....

Well well well I have joined the elite club of those who have done stupid shit and blow their engines.... In my case i lost control over my right foot and over boosted the car and cyl 6's rings popped.... This is only 3 days after i replaced the head gasket and 2 injectors and a grand worth of other stuff..... So thanks to all the performance shops on the north side of Brisbane that didnt want to help me solve the boost problem as it is not a problem anymore.... Anyway im cutting my losses... Im gonna sell the bits off my old RB20det... Like the injectors 4 were re capped and 2 are new. The head just got acid dipped and new valve springs installed. Cams were re ground and polished the intake was ported. New gaskets all of the place... New belts... New bearings in the front of the motor. New welsh plugs for the block.... Im gonna sell everything off the motor except the rings as they are stuffed..... Im gonna get Tokyo Toys to install a new R32 Rb20det engine as i have lost all intrest in this car now..... I have spent every waking moment for the last 4 weeks (apart for when im at work) fixing this thing and to no reward....

I have an R31 GTS-X auto spoiler on my car in almost perfect condition. Both motors are re-conditioned and been cleaned out...... Can demonstrate perfect operation... Reason for sale, need money despiratlly as i blew a head gasket and have broken 2 injectors and so on... Have maxed out the credit card and need money.. Also with the new suspension it scrapes on the ground sometimes and i dont want to destroy it. I have the following aviable 1 x R31 Turbo (with lines & bolts) 24,000km's 1 x R32 ECCS Plenium 1 x R33 Standard Exhaust manifold 1 x R33 O2 sensor 7,000km's 1 x R33 Dump pipe (half a foot long u know the one) and theres a heap of other crap in the box i dont want like heat shields and mounting brackets for the bits and pieces im selling. Want to sell to Brisbane person as mail would be expensive for a box so large and very heavy. Need $200 firm for the whole box...

The alve bleeds heaps of air... Maby not enough.. Havent got any others to compare with... However with the pipe directlly connected the car will produce 6psi foot flat so I think the wastegate is ok... Might be a little touchy however... Thats why i ask if i go the AVC-R will it just modify its output to suit the amount of boost i want???? I mean will it basiclly learn how much output is needed to maintain 14psi????

OK. Situation. I have an R31 GTS-X this comes standard with a RB20det NICS motor. Anyway, I have changed the turbo over from standard to a turbo off an R33 (Rb25det motor). This has worked very well. The conversion was fairly simple however boost control is very different in-between the 2 models of motor car. In I have drawn a couple of pic’s and they can be found on the second page they show the standard configuration of plumbing of the turbo and all the different ways I have tried. Now if you bleed the boost or positive pressure line that is going to the waste gate then this should have it open later and therefore be able to produce more boost. But my R33 waste gate is opening even when setting the bleed valve to fully bleed….. This one has me stuffed. Apparently you can change the sensitive of the water gate by changing the springs. However the standard R33 boost controller is somewhat electronic I believe. How do you guys with the R33’s do your bleed valves can u draw me a quick picture? If the guys at the performance shop are correct then im F$#ked. Next question, does the Apexi AVC-R run a pressure out put that is variable until the desired boost is achieved. For example in my car it would only take 3psi to open the waste gate and that’s where my current problem is. But if the Apexi AVC-R can just monitor the positive pressure and then modify the output pressure to the waste gate so it does not open so soon then I could just buy one of them and the problem will be solved. To expand on what im trying to say in English (it makes sense to me) anyway, I want 14psi… OK so the waste gate cannot open until I get to 14psi and then it must only remain open slightly as so I can hold 14psi… Now I understand that the AVC-R can modify the waste gate control as the rpm increase due to boost drop off in some cars….. If this is true then it can also modify the output pressure to the waste gate for the build up of boost and get you to 14psi faster than a bleeder…. Sorry guys im confusing my self here… Im just tired of performance shops giving me the run around… Tokyo toys have been a great help, but are very busy with their own work and I don’t like bugging them all the time…. Please post your responses here or just email me either I say Thank you in advance… If you could help or just brain storm on this page I will read it every day… TA PS. I will send this to apexi as well and see if they will respond….

From the top... 1. The dump pipe is an R33 dumpper and i have a guy keen on the O2 sensor.. 2. No throttle body... I broke it... 3. I upgraded the turbo from R31 to R32.... Then R32 to T3/4 now i have done the R33 turbo... I sold the T3/4 and still have that other R32 turbo.... Yes ill take $200 for the turbo... (No lines) I have a guy who wants the lines for $50 So ill take $250 all inclusive.... (for a limited time only i throw in an exhaust manifold from an R33)

Ive still got $500 here ill pay for postage...

I posted the pics to see what you guys thought... Im pretty sure now that it is a standard RB25det turbo with a tommy "race gate". However it does look like it has had a little machining... ????
