  1. Haha, yeah parts will become much more expensive than the car in no time. Decent list of mods and I haven't seen a set of ROH Drift R wheels in a long time! They look great too. Helluva project, I'm jealous.
  2. Welcome Tim! Any pics of the car so far? Is it the RB20 still? Lots of resources on here if you get stuck.
  3. Welcome Bruce. Just going to link to the other topic you made; I also removed your contact details. Hopefully one of the other guys can help with your issue.
  4. Hi Bruce, I removed your contact details as this is a public forum.
  5. Not crazy at all. Somebody tell me where my GTR is now and I'll sell my children to get it. Welcome back!
  6. Welcome Andrew!
  7. Sounds like it might be a *good* fact finding mission for a change! RB26's have a restrictor in the boost line. Pop this out and it'll run 12psi all day. Maybe check this is still in place?
  8. Woops, forgot to update. Yep, was the bearing. And, still havent sold the car! Thanks all for the replies! SAU crew to the rescue once again!
  9. This. Heat and push. Use something blunt and wrap the end in a towel so you don't get any sharp high spots. Its pretty easy to get them back to a relatively good looking bar using heat. Just don't melt it.
  10. Chuck the ad in the classifieds section.
  11. Damn, those calipers! 😍
  12. I have girls. They pretend I don't exist. Welcome to
  13. So, I'm planning on replacing my turbos soon which is a bit of a bastard to do and while I was just going to use jack stands on the driveway, I started wondering if there is some space with a hoist I could rent in Sydney for a few days. There is a place in Campbeltown but its about $300 for the day and is 1.5hrs from me. It'll be two or three days I'd assume for me to do it. I also need to do oil pan and both these jobs requires dropping the subframe.
  14. Sorry this happened @Zabuza. Not much we can do unfortunately, looks like the IP's used were in the states. The account has been banned but not deleted so we still have access to the PM's if we need them. We will be putting a PM restriction on all accounts until they've posted 15 times. Hopefully will help us weed out any more scammers as the SAU'ers will be prompt to report any dodgy posts.
  15. Seriously? I mean, where does it end?
  16. I can't wait to learn how it performs. It looks awesome. I shared this on insta but couldn't fit it all in!!
  17. I've been following. I'm excited though I hate the new name. Which makes no sense anyway considering it's going to be bi directional! 🤣
  18. The problem is, its very easy to go too far and the car can't be driven at low speeds because the throttle is so sensitive. So it takes a bit to find the happy medium. It has like 40 preset levels which is dumb. It also has an eco mode which is like the car is being pushed by 4 midgets.
  19. Yep, thats exactly what it is. Just changes the signal.
  20. 'Controller' is probably a little too liberal. It alters your inputs to fool the throttle. It does enough for me, but yeah there are loads of aftermarket electronics out there. I have an MHD tune at the moment and it has some throttle stuff in there too and I'll investigate it eventually.
  21. Ahhh, so I missed the, now clearly important, previous post about the shift to DBW. 🤦‍♂️
  22. Yeah I'd agree with this. I have a throttle controller in the 335 and I've temporarily put it in the X5 and 330i and its pretty interesting how it can change things. That said, the controller doesn't remove BMW's "Driver adaptations" which is their way of manipulating the throttle based on what they "think" you want. I wonder if there is a DBW -> Cable conversion kit. 🤔 EDIT: I made the adaptations sound shit. They're absolutely not and BMW does a good job here, its just sometimes I'd like a bit more "direct" control.
  23. What was the reason for the pedal swap?
