  1. hey guys i got the idea today that id like to maybe have a flat bootlid. i dont mean the drift/stealthwing either. just a flat boot. i did a search on here and google to find some pics but all i can find are rear views. i know both east bear and do luck make them. UAS and Carmate also supply. anyway i wanna know ppl's experiences with these things. how strong are they? will they stand up to opening and closing like the stocker? are they any lighter? (cf is obvious wat bout frp/metals?) being lighter will they cause probs with the gas struts on the stocker? finally id really like any pics you guys have especially side/profile views and rear 3/4 views peace Basti
  2. bump! chop chop ppl
  3. think of it this way: the r32 is the girl you fell in love with and married. the r33 is your wife after 10 years of said marriage. (still love her though) the r34 is the girl from your primary school who was a lot bigger than you and beat you up (just her way of showing she likes you) gtrs: see above but think afro-american/latina
  4. damn. too short notice.

  10. oh btw guys the members cruise to kinglake is on the same day. its during the morning/lunchtime. i'll be going to that one so i'll only come along on this one if i cbf. can i just rock up to the meet point or does someone need confirmation in advance that i'll be attending? in the meantime add me to that list as a maybe. dont think i've met any of y'all except brentt so it'll b good to make new skyrine buddies
  11. no need for a flathead. just reach behind and squeeze the clips on the back together. should make it pop out. no worries bout scratches that way. its how i did it from memory. if you want confirmation im gonna be pulling my dash out on either monday or tues. can tell u for sure then. with the light, if it isnt obviously slotted in then just cut the wire behind it. no harm to ur alarm and easily reconnected later
  12. yeah dude, no matter if i open all the doors (inc bonnet and boot and the petrol flap)and even the mirrors to dry everything i can with a rag i still cant get rid of all the water. my car is a daily so i cant really wait days for it to dry. the best i can do is a good hard punt from the carwash home and a very gentle wipe with a microfibre cloth. then wax. helps a fair bit but not ideal nd im not satisfied but what can ya do? i find the result is livable and looks after my paint well enough that i can really make it look WOW when i wanna put in effort later
  13. ^^whoa quick take a picture!!! before he disappears again!! oh yeah well done guys, cant wait til we can log in and stuff. super happy secret exclusive clubness FTW!!
  14. ive had this happen with the gold class and deep crystal polish too. to the point it leaves streaks of water with the wax. hmmm.... might it be because i dont dry my car properly? i wonder?
  15. had this on my comp for ages. never get tired of watching it though. the drivers have got serious skill

  20. just got back. some very nice cars and some not so nice. same with the ladies present. i do have a question though. is it really cheaper to buy things like audio equipment at autosalon? cos jb-hifi were selling the pioneer deh6850 for $320. the dude said usually they r $430 but i decided not to take the chance he was jacking up the price and giving me a "discount". was i wrong? anyways here are my pics. as you can probably tell i dont have very steady hands. oh well. someone else is bound to have better pics. http://rides.webshots.com/album/558453114jeMJSI
  21. id be happy to have you take over this one dude. but if its too much with organising the 2nd GOR cruise then dw bout it. i dont have a cb myself but lets just say channel 12 shall we?
  22. having an irregular texture will make it hard to get the outline of the letters right from the inside. but thats the only issue i can see. i dunno bout the paint on factory ones but there was a dude selling lightup garnishes on here. one was silver and looked like the letters were painted too. i have nfi how he did it but it still lit up well edit: found the thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=161444
  23. grease? on brakes? umm... dude isnt that nuts?
  24. this will be probably too fiddly but is it possible to spray it from the inside? my car is black andim thinking if i could just block the light in the right places itd still look sorta clear from the outside but light up at night. another plus would be i wouldnt need a perfectly smooth finish on the paint. wat do you guys rekon? just a bit of a brainfart i had
