  1. I guess it does slip more when hot...but its hard to really say if your on the freeway (which is generally where i am 5 minutes from leaving my house) it will slip regardless
  2. Yup my old cluster would do exactly the same thing between like 3000 and 4500 rpm it would go ape shite. It is the tacho it's self coz i just chucked in a new cluster and it hasn't failed once. My old cluster has since been tested in another car and it played up. One day when i'm bored i'll actaully attack the old cluster and see if I can get a definite answer on whats wrong. If I can fix it I might even sell it instead of having a museum of old skyline parts Cheers Camden
  3. I think that's a different issue. I'm not talking about air pumping though even though the unit is off. I'm saying the microcomputer is choosing to pump out the wrong temp and or out of the wrong vents. But it use to work perfectly up until swapping to a pfc. Cheers Camden
  4. But is that the PBR sensor? thats kind of more so my question as im not sure what the PBR is. Wouldn't the sensor next to the radio be the inside air temp sensor? coz thats a different error code again? Cheers Camden

    Fmic Installs

I have done exactly the same thing with my reo (well bought a second hand one to mod so i still have my original) This is one of the Blitz LM kits that use the stock piping (returns to the passenger side) then with some serious cutting to the front bar it fitted up quite nice If you didnt want to cut out the center part of the reo with this cooler there was still some slight etching out of the reo required so that it wouldn't hit the end tanks.
  6. Could doing this potentially cause damage? Or is this an acceptable method? I do have access to a loading dock that has an over head chain block I could use to support if need be...But if i can get away with doing this in my garage would be preffered (this loading dock is really narrow where as my garage at home has so much more space to work with). the whole radiator will probably be out of the car anyway as im doing a 100k service atm too. Cheers Camden
  7. Hey all, I'm about to change the clutch for the first time in a R33 gtst and am just curious if you need to support the engine at all when dropping out the bell housing or will the engine mounts cope with no gearbox attached? Cheers Camden
  8. I just re-ran the self diagnostics on my air con unit and this time it came back with a fault code 26 (PBR) What sensor is "PBR"? Cheers Camden
  9. You can't use GTR front bars on a GTS-t's as the GTR is wider as far as im aware. Anyone who has a GTR style front on there GTS-t is a copy. Cheers Camden
  10. My air con does the same thing (cold when on 18, hot on everything else). It also pumps hot air out the dash vents where it use to only heat from foot wells and cool through dash vents. Now this could be related or coincidental but mine faulted as soon as I put in my power fc....haven't put the stock ecu back in to prove that this is the case. But im sure if this was an issue everyone with a pfc would have made comment. Diagnostics also come back with all sensors working correctly. (return air hose is definitely also attached to the dash) Cheers Camden
  11. I would be assuming hes talking about the mix door actuator (it would be some kind of stepper motor or "blend motor" i would have thought). If it is im keen to find out the same info coz the friggin clicking noise is giving me the shites. also if anyone knows how much it costs that would be ace. Cheers Camden
  12. Mate i don't actually know if there is oil leaking or not.. thats why i was asking if there is an easy way to check. but since im pretty sure i'll change the clutch regardless im sure i'll see quick smart when i take the bell housing off. Cheers Camden
  13. haha but it does sound like a reasonable assumption. I'm getting the feeling i'll just purchase a new clutch anyway. even if it isnt completely rooted its probably about time to find something that is more matched to the cars power. (especially when i finally get back on the track) Cheers Camden
  14. Pressing machine ain't a problem, i have the technology at my disposal. SK's group buy might be a good move as i'll prolly put in some adjustable sways at the same time. Does anyone know if you get new bushes with the sways because according to whitelines catalog they don't have a listing for them (the bushes that is) Cheers Camden
  15. Yeah I know what the series one bar looks like... i don't think you read my post properly..anyway..
  16. Yeah that bar did come standard on the 1.5 but i'm pretty sure it was an option on the '94 range of series 1's marketed as the "m-spec front bar" Although i could have been told evil evil lies!!! Cheers Camden
  17. I dont know about S2 but in the series one there was a Mspec and the only difference was in body kit...mainly the front bar as far as i'm aware. "spec-m" is a model of 200sx
  18. Hey mate, What exactly is the issue your having. I had my drivers side motor in and out quite easily (took me a long time to work out how to do it but once i did it wasn't a difficult process) Unfortunatly i didn't take any photos when i did it (i was meant to but forgot my camera). let me know where your at and i might be able to talk you through it. Cheers Camden
  19. Correct. Allignment too, but no replacement on bushes. I guess in truth i do want to do it myself but i'm not interested in paying how much superpro expect for the replacement bushes. unfortunately pedders only make a couple bushes for r33's (sway bars and control arms i think) I haven't called whiteline so see what kind of price there full combo is yet... Cheers Camden
  20. If i do go down the full bush replacement path then it does seem to add up tho. The full SuperPro bush kit was like $900 on its own (from bursons or repco cant remember which now)... although i do know its a little cheaper to go the whiteline path. If I don't get broked bushes swapped they will just chuck the coilovers in for $250.... Cheers Camden
  21. Hey all, Currently i'm in the process of upgrading my suspension on my 33 gtst. I have some coilovers coming in but i'm curious about what i should do on the replacement bushes front. I like to try and do as much as possible myself....but am i wasting my time putting all the bushes and suspension on myself to then have it properly aligned by pros? should i just get them to do the installation if they are going to end up changing a lot of my initial work anyway!? I am always keen to learn but i don't have money to just throw at workshops asking megabucks per hour. (I got a quote from one of the respected melbourne workshops for $1000+ for the install & alignment) Cheers Camden
  22. Hey all, Im not going to lie to you peeps but evidently clutches/transmissions are not my strong point. anyway moving right a long I have a bit of a clutch slippage issue which considering the age of the vehicle and the fact that i track it im sure the clutch is just worn out....But the slippage seems to be variable day to day. sometimes it slips like crazy sometimes its like its perfect again? Is there an easy way of finding out if there is oil getting into the bell housing and causing or contributing to my slippage issue? I must say that when it does slip there really isnt a strong clutch burning aroma like I would have expected. Cheers Camden
  23. DAMN IT!! Finally organized a day off the show so I could come and do this track day... and the car is fooooked hopefully make it over for some spectating action.
  24. That would be me I currently work 6 days a week at the Princess theatre so i'm around that area a fair bit
