  1. Mate the series 2 has different headlights and bonnet to make everything look snug... your going to need to change these as well to make it look right. Although the reo bar is different between the two series' also. i would have though the bar wouldn't clip on properly without swapping that too...unless you don't have a reo bar on your car?! Cheers Camden
  2. Very true. Even check that all tyres are up to pressure.
  3. If you had fulcrum put these little puppies in then they would have done an alignment at the same time. Sounds more like you have thrown a weight of a wheel. Getting a balance would be my first port of call. And maybe just having a visual inspection yourself of the castor bushes. Cheers Cam
  4. Same thing happened to me dude when I put a HKB boss kit on. Standard steering wheel was perfect then became off centre when i put the boss kit on. Since i was so careful through out this whole process i actually think it was a manufacturing fault of the boss. But at the end of all this yes an alignment will fix this issue (had it rectified myself only yesterday) Cheers Cam
  5. Sounds like you are possibly having the same issue i was... until i had some pros look over the setup.. Apparently i wasn't running enough pressure in my tires to allow the mono flex's to do there job. my tires were flexing to much in the sidewalls (im only running street rubber 17's) causing especially my rear end to do a bit of a dance. Now we are running 38 all round (for street anyway) and its amazing the difference. Yes its still a relatively stiff ride but the shox are now doing there thing... keeping the tires to the road Cheers Cam
  6. Belts can have many causes they may lead to failure. The way i look at it, at the end of the day a timing belt is seriously one of the cheapest parts you can buy for any car. If in doubt just change it...its going to be a hell of a lot more expensive if it lets go.. Cheers Cam
  7. R33's standard suspension is coilovers. But what i asume your trying to ask is should you just buy new springs rather than a complete suspension setup (ie. adjustable coilovers) How much do you want to spend? Do you want the suspension to actually work or are you just after fully sick exhaust scrapping? Cam
  8. hahah i love to contrast between red violin and bar 20...its all about variety i spose if you just want a funky bar im a big fan of the carlton club. opposite hungry jacks on burke st. watch out for the giraffe!
  9. If not the solder joints even just spray some contact cleaner on the connectors that go into the back of the dash cluster and maybe give a bit of a scrub with a cheap tooth brush. But in either case you would expect it to get better as the revs go up (because electrically the voltage is increasing) Cheers Camden
  10. nah the jap spec are also meant to be "16" steps...but that doesn't equate to 16 clicks lol
  11. Id say they would be referring to people "forcing" them to click any further. But there are more clicks than 16. As i think has already been stated its around 20.
  12. Well i got monoflex but yes its anti clockwise to soften and clockwise to harden. i can't see why they would swap one model around Cheers Camden
  13. Did you buy Aussie or Jap spec SS? I only ask because the first person i spoke to at fulcrum didn't believe that any of there coilovers came with that type of bush setup we both evidently have..But maybe the Aussie stuff is different. but i'm sure you got a similar manual to my mono flex... most useless drawings ever
  14. All Sorted the flared (wider side) goes onto the spigot first. which is the opposite way than i found when i searched on here..eek. spoke to fulcrum and centreline. Cheers Camden
  15. Hey all, Im about to put some tein mono flex coilovers on a r33 gtst. But what im curious about is which orientation the lower bush at the bottom of the coilovres goes onto the spigot. one side of the coilovers bush is wider than the other and is also flared. (the stockies dont help as they seem symmetrical on either side of the eyelet) from what ive searched on the forum so far the flare should be in contact with the bolt (facing towards the centre of the car) but im just still unsure as the crappy little pictures in the paperwork the came with the shocks could possibly mean the other way... but they are so ambiguous... Cheers Camden
  16. steering shouldn't be any heavier.... have u disconnected the hicas ecu? coz that will fark with your power steering up front too.
  17. off the top of my head i think its a Z200 type filter. But i have a really easy way of finding out for sure. pop your bonnet and it will be written on the filter you already have. doesn't matter what brand you buy the types are standardized. Cheers Camden
  18. This is what i will be doing real soon to make the car a little more track friendly (without spending every penny i will ever have..but it still ain't cheap) Tein mono flex coilovers (if they ever arrive from japan!!!) whiteline adjustable sway bars castor rods (no real brand preference) replacing any bushes that are foooked. Pineapples possibly some upgraded control arms as i highly doubt we will be able to get a useful camber out of bushes... but if your mainly streeting this wont concern you. And most importantly.... Alignment by people who actually know what there doing! What you may or may not want out of this kind of setup is the springs rates will probably be too hard for daily use (look into the SK group buy of bilstein/whiteline for a more street friendly by track ready setup). For a streeter you could get away with just some upgraded non adjustable sway bars. Don't need to necessarily go castor rods but definitely get those old crappy bushes replaced. Cheers Camden
  19. Maybe you might be able to record some sort of pressure drop when running high boost applications.... but i run 12psi with a Blitz Lm Return pipe and there no pressure drop.. there IS a slight lag as the much larger cooler is filled compared to the stocko item but this is the same with a straight through fmic. I think at the 200kw kinda world where most people with pretty stock cars are sitting... you wont notice the difference. With a 300kw rb25... well that could be a different story. Cheers Camden
  20. mate if you want the gtr look just go down the copy path and be done. If you buy a genuine GTR front... your going to have to mod it to fit... if you buy a copy... your going to have to mod it to fit, BUT its hella cheaper and with it no doubt being made of fiberglass it will be easy/cheap to repair if you make a mistake during the modification stage. (rather than finding someone who is willing to plastic weld that type of plastic) In both cases they will no doubt need to be painted to match your car so no savings there. Cheers Cam
  21. hahah i guess that's almost a workout
  22. I agree thats it's friggin expensive for bad service. But with my line of work being so random on times and locations its quite advantages to be able to use any of their gyms.
  23. Hey all, Have been noticing an increasing number of skylines in the car park at my gym and am just curious if these are sau members. None have had sau stickers but i thought i might ask anyway... cause im bored!!!
  24. I work at some number on Spring St (its the princess theatre) but I mainly work nights... There was a black 33 with sau stickers i saw parked around the elephant and wheel barrow several days in a row? someone work there or just like their beverage selection?
