Car is now gones!
-
OMG! Smartest comment yet! Also, food for thought, did you know that most cars already factor in a 2 - 4 % over read on the speedo? IE, when it says 100, you're really only doing 98 - 96KM/H? My Jazz, speedo on 120KM/H, I'm really only doing 112KM/H... Hence, if I'm in a 110zone, sitting my speedo on 110, even if I do creep to 115 on the speedo, I"M STILL SAFE!

Meh, I was just taking a stab at it, cause someone said Vista was fine, Win7 wasn't. Although Vista also has an X64 version... I don't bother with doing my own tax, so I really don't know alot on that program...

Lets think about it for a minute... They keep putting police cars in peoples driveways, hidden, and booking people right? So that means, now that we're doing it with a camera on a car, suddenly you're going to get booked, for doing the same thing, on the same street, in the same place... If you're not getting busted by the Po-Po now when they're hiding behind the bushes, you shouldn't be getting busted by the camera man hiding behind the bushes... But considering all of the camera cars I've seen setup (Old, and new, NSW, ACT and QLD) they've never once been hidden behind trees or anything like HWP do, as they need more of a line of site... Edit: Okay, so I'm going to try to make this clearer. Think of it this way. I am going to remove every police officer thats hiding behind a tree with a radar gun that has to chase you down, with a police officer hiding behind a tree that just has to take your photo. So, have you been done lately by any police officers with Radar guns? No. Then why would you suddenly get done by the one taking photos if they're at the same place, at the same time? Or are you just annoyed now that they'll have a big white ford territory, with a sign at it saying "you're a moron if you just sped past me" and allowing police officers to now get on and do other police duties (Which every person on here bitches they should be doing rather then hiding behind a bush with a radat)

When I was in QLD 5 years ago they had these things!

I am going to assume you have a pretty new PC. Running 64 bit Win 7, and the installer isn't designed for Win7, yet alon 64 bit...

I find it's much better to be late then early... And I guess if there's Ice on the track... Well it is a driver training day... We're preparing you people for driving at Jindabyne! Must remember to bring a couple of jackets for me... -
Well no it doesn't... Cause you can't glance down and see 100KM/H... Also, yes this helps being able to glance at the gauge, and not (Like everyone in here seems to think) have to get an encyclopedia and then jump on google to find out what speed that needle is pointing at. Also, not having a blaring sub going "doof doof doof" and not allowing you to hear road noise, engine noise, or the police sirens as the Ambulance is up your ass saying "GTFO OF MY WAY!!!"
-
I've found before, that when I'm at these times of days, with the sun in my eyes, unable to see shit, the last thing you want to be doing is sitting on the speed limit because you can't see all that far in front of you anyway. There's a spot I drive to from work, and at certain times of the year (Crossing from summer to winter and winter to summer) at 8:20 in the morning you come up a hill to have the sun in your eyes like you said. Everyone does 40KM/H up it... It's an 80 zone...
-
And all that these would be doing anyway is taking over the job of that police officer. Have you been pinged by a copper in the last few years? No? Been done by a mobile speed camera 3 to 10 years ago? No? Nothing to worry about.
-
If the camera is taken out of the eye of the driver, the driver is out of the eye of the camera... These cameras are right on the side, and on some on the front of/rear of the vehicles, MEANING the car has to sit out in a spot where it can get line of site on the offending vehicle. Hence, if it has line of site on you, you have line of site on it.

Wow... And here I was thinking they would have been using unstrained used engine oil... -
The reason he can't give an exact answer, is he doesn't know. The RTA want to reduce it to only a 4KM/H leeway. Senior HWP are against. They're battling it out now. At the moment they actually have a policy on what the minimum leeway is. The RTA were forced to increase it a few years back.
-
Never claimed I hadn't, in fact, check back, I admit I've been done twice (Once in double D's which cost me big time), but I stick to the limit as much as possible, there is leeway in these things to begin with, and if you haven't been done by a Cop hiding behind a bush with a radar, you've got even less chance of being booked by a huge white van parked in the middle of the footpath in clear view. Seriously, these things stand out like dogs balls, you have to be retarded to get caught by one! The only other thing they could help you to avoid being done is put a huge flashing light on them screaming "RADAR HERE!!!"

Drop the motor as far as possible, run an over the motor plenum again, and sit a custom W2A cooler on top of the motor, particularly towards the back of the motor...

I'll be at the best western in the city centre. Prue, I think the "regular" thing that people have been talking of is going to the Workers Club. Oh, and the only thing I'll have to do is change the tyres over and clip the harness in... I can't remember any day that I haven't been up till midnight doing stuff to the car... -
I was speaking to a few guys that race and build cages... They say it can be a bad idea... What happens IF it comes loose? It's now in a spot that is easier for it to become a huge projectile...
-
Are you also one of the people that drive around with an illegal radar detector? Because if you are, then you're just admitting to being an intentional speeder that just doesn't want to get caught.
-
Have any of you guys passed one of the ones in Canberra? Cause I tell you what, you can nearly see the f**kers from space! If you can get caught by a mobile speed camera, then you're probably one of the morons who also misses 3x warning signs and then bitches like a little girl. I couldn't give a shit really, all they're using them for is to replace the police man hiding behind the bush with a radar gun. I've only been nailed by one of these once (And it was when I was on holidays and missed a speed zone change and he was hiding just inside the zone change). For these vans to work, they HAVE to visible from a distance as the radar is apart of the van, and so is the camera once you go past. So much easier to spot then the copper behind the bush (Which 95% of the time I've never had a hard time seeing!) Honestly, everyone hear is having a huge cry about nothing. Also, the story about the guy getting done with a missus and the caught case following, that was actually from a fixed speed camera which took photos of the front number plates and they forced the RTA to blur out peoples faces in the photos now. The old mobile speed cameras were used for YEARS, and they only stopped using them around 2-3 years ago (I know, because a work mate of mine lost his licence from the same mobile camera being in the same spot all the time and he was too stupid to realise "Oh, big white car on the footpath where there are no houses or business I'll keep speeding") So for those of you who have had your licences for 10+ years, did you ever get caught by mobile speed cameras for the first 7 of them? If No, then you have nothing to worry about now. Oh, and I never used to be an angel on the road, until I got down to 1 point remaining, and by god, now I am because my licence means so much to me!

Connect it to the one that is coming out of th eblock straight, just behind the engine mount. Mine is T'd in like Titans is. As said not ideal, but works. If you want to, tap it in to the sump. You WILL need it.
-
Where did you get it from? Does it make it PERFECTLY level? I've had one of mine have only a few degrees of tilt and it threw the belt off...
-
Spectators if they feel up to it can also pay $20 and go out with people that will let them in their cars. Obviously all passengers need a helmet and ankle to wrist and neck clothing.
-
DO WANT! Where from? How much? I'm over destroying knuckles when doing my gearbox/diff... I also am in need of a heap of tap and dies... And good drill pieces.
