An Alternative Ecu Choice Worth Considering.
MBS206 replied to Guilt-Toy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Bunta, go with the Select ECU. It's a great ECU for the price, and unless you need/want the super advancement of the E1280S, the Select ECU is really what you want. I ran the E420C (With one of the very first few plug in looms for my R33) and never ever had an issue due to it being sequential. Oh and you can't beat ease of installation! Run one vacuum line to inside the car, unplug old ECU, plug in new ECU, plug in vacuum line you just ran. Send car to tuner. -
Block it and avoid the engine sucking in oil vapour is the main reason. If your "breather" on the atmo can is a mini filter, the air in the cam covers is "filtered" but full of all sorts of vapours that most people don't want in their engine for performance reasons.

High Idle And Next To No Vacuum Built Rb25Det
MBS206 replied to skygtsnt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Huge cams, with huge overlap will cause a severe lack of vacuum. -
If you have another rim/tyre sitting around that can be bolted on, bolt it on. If it can't be bolted on but you have a spare, throw it under the sill of the car, at least then the car has something to land on when the jack fails.

But honestly, if it's water related, half the time letting it just sit and run at idle for ages (Talking like an hour or so depending on water build up) will help to dry the water out and let it run better. Even better if you can do it outside on a hot day with the bonnet up in the sun.

Take out engine. Replace with RB25DET.

And it's an R33. Unfortunately, there isn't many of us as sick as me that just want all of the R33s... You're going to either: Sell it cheaper than you want, leave it in your garage, or turn it into a track car. I vote option three, keep it motor wise as stock as possible (Just get a good rad and oil cooler in there, open the exhaust and inlet up, and go drive it like that on the track and have a ball!)

Drag Gear Box Options R33
MBS206 replied to Adz2332's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
If you're wanting to build a drag car, may I suggest save yourself a LOT of the cost and just purchase 2RISMO's whole car? It truly is a work of art, and worth EVERY CENT he's asking. I've been in the car, it's quick, and will be able to run some very impressive numbers and you won't need to spend any more on it! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/331072677608?ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 -

Drop second... It'll help it fall off... -
Frosty, that purely depends on how the sale was done. Any smart business person would purchase such as to avoid purchasing any debt at the same time. (buy all items of property, client base, and trading name, but not the ABN). Either way, everyone affected is still in a bad position.

Try finding a room at midnight... And you guys were travelling with no spares for the trailer? NUTS! We blew TWO tyres on the trailer on the way down. Luckily zero issues on the way home. -
Not Sure If Panel Beater Is Trying To Rip Me Off.

Is it just the rear reo that's bent? -
So I've had some interest in this, some offers but no one serious enough that they've front with cash. Would be a good project to buy whole, or to wreck yourself. Or as mentioned, if I can get buyers for the engine and gearbox, I'll wreck it myself. On a side note. The drivers headlight, drivers front guard, front reo bar, and FMIC are currently off the car, and I will alter the price of the car as a whole to reflect this if someone wants to buy it whole.

Hey all. I've got my R33 GTS-t VERY close to completion, but I've reached a pinching point personally where I'm actually looking to pass it on either as is, or in pieces. If I part it in pieces I will not pull a single part off until I have a deposit for gearbox and engine (Either separate or as a combo) The car is an R33 Series 2 1997 model with a manual gearbox (Standard manual). The car is running a non standard clutch, I would have to dig the exhaust details up, but it is along the lines of a patrol clutch plate, with an aftermarket high pressure pressure plate. Running an R34 OP6 turbo (Very minimal shaft play, quite good condition) Engine as far as I'm aware is dead stock internally (Cams and bottom end) Car currently has a forward facing plenum on it as seen in the pics. What does the car need to get it running if you bought it whole? Right now it needs intercooler piping, some vacuum lines run, some exposed wires taped up (About 8 of them). An ECU installed, and it all tuned. While it runs standard injectors, it does have a Bosch 040 mounted in the tank with a full 3" exhaust. (Can't remember the brand, but it is japanese) The car when I bought it had a bent radiator support, I've since replaced it with a new one and had the front straightened, fitted a new FMIC (No piping done) and a new reo bar. Anyway, I've added some pics. Price whole is either $3500 OR Engine: $1200 No Forward facing plenum. no exhaust mani/turbo Gearbox $1500 with clutch. Contact: Either PM me on here, I'm on here quite a lot or SMS: Oh for oh six nein six too three for seven Feel free to make an offer, the worst I will do is say no thanks. Car is located in the Wollongong region of NSW.
