  1. i use to have ultimates on my civic. i love em. never fadded even when i drove hard on twisty roads for a long time. they also have very good pedal feel. they only bad thing about them is they are very dusty (but most performance pads are). i now have endless ssy pads on my R34. if u think the ultimates are loud u should hear these when they are cold. they can wake up the dead. i sometimes feel like someone is grinding my teeth away when they sqeek. but i think next time ill go for the ultimates again as they are half the price of the endless pads and i think are just as good...
  2. GT Radials Champiro - 235\40 17 dry- 6 wet - 3 value - came with the car not bad in the dry. give ok feedback. shocking in the wet. i went a bit to quick on a turn when it was a bit wet and ended up in a farmers fence... would not recommend these unless u can get em for very cheap and are happy to granny drive in the wet...
  3. hahahhaaahahahahaha... let just hope his dad dosnt wear the same clothes as the chicks do... ahahahahahaahahahahaaha...
  4. dude i dont wanna be harsh but i reckon u r full of shit... u gave us 3 pics of a porsche and all of a sudden we are suppose to believe ur dad wants to buy one of the rearest cars in the world... i work in north sydney and i can go down stairs right now and get u pics of any porsche, merc or beemer u want and the occasional ferrari and bentley... if ur dad was dat loaded u wouldnt b driving a civic... i use to own a civic and my parents drive a f*kin vt commodore... not that there is anything wrong with a civc or a commodore... all im saying is u cant expect ppl to believe some guy who out of no where joins a skyline forum and drops a bombshell like that with out beeing able to prove anything... like said before give us pics of a few of ur dads cars and in each photo hold a sign "my dad is rich" and then someone might be able to help u... until then go enjoy ur civic and stop wasting pplz time...
  5. my car hasn't been out of action for long.. just the odd weekend when changing parts and doing some regular service... but yeah the main reasons are what actiondan said... hey actiondan i work in IT as well so i know exacly what you mean... its like when u work on your car its more of a realaxing hobby then labour... and i always love to see the differance that the work i put in made.. like when i upgraded my brake pads and flushed the brake oil and machined the discs... then differance in braking was huge...
  6. yeah good point once its back up and running selling it is the last thing on ur mind... and like u said the only valid reason to sell it is to upgrade or unless u have financial issues...
  7. lucky my girlfriend is kool and understands my obsession... she even drives my line often... well someone has to drive when im drunk... hahhahahaha... na but she is a good driver and respects my car alot so i trust her with it... hey do u guys ever get the urge to sell ur skyline when its not running and getting a stock turbo car or even a normal car???
  8. totaly agree... juz came back from hoildays from surfers (i live in sydney)... we took my girlfriends civc... i missed my car soooo much when i was there... the first time i got back in my line after a week it felt so good... it was like stepping out of a car into an alient ufo... lol... p.s. my car is in a horrible shape rite now coz i hit a farmers wire fence during xmas and da whole car is scratched... it drives fine and nothing is broken (bonet a bit dented) but it looks like like shyt but i still couldn't stop smilling when i drve it...
  9. u guys reckon i can get a 2jz into my mums ford festiva??? hahahaahahhahahahaha...
  10. are there any differances between the jap spec and the US spec 2jz? i only know the US spec have steel turbine wheels, any other differance (pistons, rods, injectors)?????
  11. Yeah a nice sleeper is always cool... im not sure what else would need to be custom... but all i know is that engine swaps always blow out of proportion and out of budget... if u got the money for it then talk to a few workshops and see what they say but if it was me i would blow the 10k on the rb and have a very nice toy to play with on sundays... plus dont forget you would also need to spend money on suspension and braking...
  12. i dont think that be enought for a good quality job... i know when i had a civic and wanted an engine swap the engine was around $2500 but everyone told me i will be looking at close to $10k... and that was for a simple swap with not much custom work...
  13. oops sorry ur right... i just dug up the article... but yeah if u can get that sort of performance with a 7m then i would love to see it with the 2jz..
  14. not a bad idea except for the price of a N1 block u can get a 2jz and a bit left over for a few mods...
  15. hahahahahaha... is it juz me or has the topic totaly changed... i think a 2jz in a 34gtr trim would b the ultimate street car... from the pics the job looks pretty crap but maybe they already got the car that way and since it was half ruinned they thought let try something different.. i love skylines but it is common fact that 2jz and 1jz are cheaper and better engines then rb26 / 25... but for me the overall benefits of puttin a 2jz into a gtr would be hardly worth the $$$ or the hastle... but then again these guys obviously dont care about that... i actually read an article in zoom a few months ago where a guy had a 2jz lying around so he chucked it into his r32 gtst.. and now he runs easy 9s in a full trim street car with fairly mild mods (for a 9 sec car)... i guess if u got the $$$ and the means to do it then go for it but i know if i had the $$$ i would just buy a mine's gtr from japan and im sure i b more then happy...
  16. very nice... i got a black 34... wouldn't get anything else but black.. it's a b!tch keepin it clean but i still love it... once again awesome whip...
  17. Honda or not I think he is right... I have helped a few of my mates buy cars and each time the dealer is pushy as f**k so I tell them to leave us the f**k alone for 15mins and come back with a good deal... In the mean while we check out the car... since he can see u are interested he will come back with a bulls**t deal... then u tell him everything little bad thing u found on the car and then offer him a stupid low price... then after that u can start to talk.. u gotta show them u not gonna be pushed around... be very firm!!! after all u are the one with the money and he is the one trying to get it off u... therefore u r the boss!!! if he dosn't like it tell him u will be spending your money next door...
  18. no worries... p.s. sorry for cloging up the thread...
  19. u lucky bugger i wish i had em on mine not that it gets foggy here often but still looks cool and be handy sometimes... and yeah very nice car btw... what you done to it so far???
  20. wow those foggies look awesome... i seen heaps of GTTs with the aero kit when i was lookin to buy mine but none of em had the foggies... weird... getting back to the main topic of this post: GTT interior... does anyone here have the nismo 300kmh dash? and is it hard to install it??? and if u do how does it work with the odometer??? do the kms traveled just appear on the new dash or does it start at zero again???
  21. No dimmer switch either and no foggies... btw mine is 98 s1 with aero kit...
