  1. No, it's not. Personal experience. RB25s2 is not stronger than s1. The nylon compressor wheel like to delaminate when leant on too hard.. had one in the workshop not so long ago with lots of bits of nylon missing of the wheel. I recently sold my RB25s1 turbo, that thing spent a year getting abused at 12psi on my RB20 and another year getting abused at 12psi on my RB30 while also being a restriction, which meant the exhaust housing was getting super hot and the exhaust wheel still didn't fail. RB25 Neo turbos have a slightly bigger exhaust housing. I think it's pretty much luck of the draw, boost it over stock and it can fail sooner than if you didn't boost it. That being said, I still prefer RB25s1 turbos and will advocate them over the later nylon wheeled units.
  2. Pfft Ryan, you should be offering me a drive of your car aswell
  3. Probably a restrictive wastegate opening.
  4. Wow cool! favour would obviously be returned when the 32 is ready
  5. Not bad, not bad.
  6. Great thread, will def. read again.
  7. You spent 10k in mods on a non-turbo? how? why? Have a look at the Naturally Aspirated section of the forum, there are people in there who, for some unknown reason, love their N/A RB's. My opinion, cut your losses and stop wasting money on the non-turbo.
  8. I drove my 32 to Albany, so hard to keep it at a respectable speed Albany really isn't that far away. Fill up in Armahole, then stop in Mount Barker (~50km before Albany), the roadhouse is open pretty late there and they have Ultimate - I think we passed through about 8pm. On the way back, top up in Mount Barker again and you're good to go Mt Barker -> Armahole.. 2hrs 45mins
  9. Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements. I'm all go before show
  10. Not worth the expense unless it's a really high power application or you need bonnet clearance (such is my case). We proved that the standard plenum/throttlebody is good for just under 500rwhp before it became a restriction. You will also lose low down torque with the significantly shorter runners, but will flow better in the higher revs.
  11. There are definitely a some key things that RIPS eludes to but does not elaborate on.

You guys must have got to the truck stop hella late. There was at least 20 cars there when I got there and by the time the cops told us to move on there would have been at least 50 cars!
  13. Not until my 32 is back on the road, unless someone wants to let me drive their car?
  14. I killed 2x Rb20 boxes, first with 183rwkw out of the RB20 and second was with 183rwkw with the RB30. I do like to drop 2nd though
  15. lol.. "fun" driving in the 32 and I struggle to get 250km out of a tank

  20. Maybe RIPS does do some of these things with his "stock RIPS cranks", he is very cagey about what he actually does to his "stock" cranks.

I had a nice big convoy behind me for most of the hills but then I took a more fun road out to Albany Hwy, not sure how many followed.
