They're up in Malaga, http://www.mtqes.com.au/

There is nothing stopping an RB30 revving as hard as any other RB, this has been proven time and time again so please stop perpetuating an urban myth Also, there are a few threads recently where we have discussed the cost differences and really, if you're forging your 26 the only significant cost difference is the sump adapter. Hell, RIPS turn their RB30 to 10,000rpm with no special work done (nothing that you wouldn't normally do). Me personally, I only turn mine to 6,800rpm as it has so much torque I don't need to spin it any higher and, afterall, it's revs that kill engines Oh and the reason you don't see a lot of twincam 30's in Japan is because the RB30E was never released in Japan. There is however, a tuning house over there that specialises in building twincam 30's.

^^ lol Oh and I love how even though his wife is having a baby and he needs a police escort, he still takes the time to throw a couple of nuts then drift round that roundabout a couple of times at the end!

It won't run very nice at all with the bigger injectors and airflow meter.. that's if it even starts.. will be rich as all buggery. Got a base tune on the powerfc? might be more benefitial to put the powerfc in, select the injector and afm size to get it running kind of alright and test that way. Just don't run much boost (if any at all) and you shouldn't melt anything.

Maybe HICAS is a little more suited to the 4wd's, I hated it in my rwd and binned it as soon as I could. For me, personally, I don't want any part of the car doing it's own thing.. it should only be reacting to my inputs, not what some computer thinks should be going on

No probs dude, good luck Oh and see if KYP are willing to get that "hiflow" checked out by a turbo specialist.. take it down to MTQ and they'll be able to tell you if it's hiflowed or not.. if it is then $380 is a fkn good price!

Moneypit, what car do you have?

Stock Diffs And Diff Ratios,
bubba replied to raZ1911's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Just keep in mind that if you are changing ratios you need to get the whole housing as the pinion gears are matched to the crown wheels. I went the opposite way, 4.3 to 3.9. -
Probably a custom dump pipe, *maybe* a new intake pipe (you may have to fiddle with the piping to get it to meet your current piping). Turbo will bolt onto the stock manifold but to make use of all the extra air some bigger injectors and some aftermarket management will be needed (and bigger airflow meter depending on what sort of ecu you go for). Really, you'll be needing bigger injectors and some decent management with a hiflow turbo anyway depending on how much you lean on it.. My Stag has a HUGE hiflow.. it's making ~240awkw @ 12psi but because it's so big it's laggy as hell.. injectors maxed at 15psi so I'm going to get some bigger ones as if I have to live with this laggy turbo it might aswell make all the power it can.. possibly good for 280awkw @ 18psi My point is, anything bigger than standard is going to flow more air, more air means more fuel and better ways to measure the air. You seem to have the bulk of the supporting mods done except for the ECU and injectors. Also, if you have the cash then a HKS *kit* will have everything required to bolt on but you'll still need injectors and ECU

I'll be there with the video camera, and if Mary doesn't get too drunk at the wedding I'll try get her along with the big still camera

Kyp are pretty reliable I think (although he did sell me what was supposed to be an R32 GTSt tailshaft.. I then used that as a template for my custom tailshaft which turned out to be wrong and cost me a few hundred dollars more..)

I got my Stag about a month ago now (with some work already done to it) as I was looking for something a bit more practical than my 32. I love the Stag, it's roomy, comfy, practical and hauls ass for a wagoon BUT, it will never replace my 32. I am all about smallish, rwd, manual cars that go sideways and as such, my 3L R32 GTSt is my toy It's really horses for courses.. the 32 comes out once or twice a week to make a trip to work but it's mostly just track/skidpan days and cruises. The Stag is the daily hauler and for long trips down south etc.

Brake Master Cylinder Stopper
bubba replied to Wacky Dee's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have a Cusco one, looks a lot stronger than that ebay one (has an arm that goes behind the strut tower, so 3 bolts in total). I highly recommend the master cylinder stopper, it removes any vagueness so that any input you give to the brake pedal is used for braking.. not moving the firewall -
hiflow for $380?! I doubt it but if it IS actually a hiflow.. and not rooted.. buy it! Your cheapest option to get you back on the road is another stock turbo. If you want a bit more power but not heaps then look at a small aftermarket turbo like a 2530 or something. SAFC will be OK for minor mods but as soon as you start putting bigger turbos on that push a lot more air than stock, you really need a proper EMS.

Better how? use the intank 044 as a lift pump into a surge tank then twin 044's? I was a bit sceptical when matey said he was going to run a single intank 044 with his power level but it's coping quite well!
-
Ahh ok then, just by the sounds of it it seemed it was going to be in your backyard.
-
Must you get upset when someone disagrees with your choice of fuel pump?
-
I wouldn't waste money on a Walbro pump either, but that's just me
-
Maybe people just get told that a lot in an effort to sell more injectors..
-
Hiflows you're looking at places like MTQ or GCG to make them. Yes you will make more power, no they aren't cheap (~2kish). I have a huge hiflow neo on my stag and while it makes good power, it's laggy as hell heh I bought the stag with the highflow, personally I wouldn't do one myself.

What Valve Springs To Use In Rb25de Head?
bubba replied to psidat's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'm running an R32 RB25DE head on my 25/30 and running stock valve springs, it was previously in a car with a pair of 2540's bolted on and making 365rwkw @ 21psi with no valve float issues.. so I don't expect any issues with my GT35R either. -
In my eyes, it was attempted murder. If he had have connected OR if I had have swerved away I would have ended up on the shitty inside shoulder on Tonkin Hwy @ 100km/h.. quite likely would have either rolled or snapped around sideways into traffic.. good times. Cops did fuck all and if I ever see that guy again, shit is going to hit the fan. At least I was the bigger man at the time (only because I had the mrs in the car) and didn't retaliate but did the righty and made a police report.

It may be more than capable but I wouldn't trust a 2nd hand fuel pump. If that ~20yo pump decides it wants to die at the wrong time, goodbye engine. For a bit over $200 and some time/patience or another $200 for a pro install, put a decent pump in there. If you can't afford a $200 fuel pump.. you shouldn't be modifying cars But hey, at the end of the day, it's not my engine.. so go for it
