  1. Ahh ok. With my old brushed motor I was using the white PVC plumbing pipe over the top of my rubber tyres (found it was too harsh mounting ABS straight onto the rims). I then got myself a Castle Creations 5700kV brushless setup for Xmas and it was WAY too much for the shitty old TT01 chassis.. so got myself a HPI Pro-D chassis. The power of the brushless is ridiculous, even just on a 7.2V NiMH stick pack.. I have since found that the rubber "drift" tyres that come with the TT01D kit work the best for my setup, heaps of traction when needed but when you squeeze the throttle on there's heaps of wheelspin Srsly, with this motor it's almost like the old motor on the plastic tyres! I find with the proper rubber tyres it's a lot nicer to control and isn't so much like skating on ice.. only downside is they come pre-glued to WRX style rims When I've got some spare cash (that isn't being spent on the 32 or paintball), I'll get some nice rims and try some proper racing slicks (hardish compound).. and maybe a 3S LiPo pack if I can find one that will fit in the chassis
  2. 240awkw @ 12psi through a massive hiflow, stock internals. Will be shooting for 280awkw+ as soon as I get some bigger injectors. Check the Forced Induction area, URAS has found some aftermarket replacement injectors for our Neo engines. I am waiting on a price from the supplier.
  3. When my stock fuel pump was dying (many moons ago), my RB20 was running about 13.5-14:1.. no audible pinging, it just went really hard..
  4. +11ty gazillion.
  5. I'm using a GTSt latch with my GTR bonnet.. just had to bend the release lever as the pit inspector was a tool.
  6. An RB30DET is a hybrid.. they were never made by Nissan.. you have to build it yourself. Also the RB30E/T was never released in any JDM vehicle, so they are super rare over there. There is a Jap company that specialises in twincam 30's using RB30E/T blocks but the rest of the 3L stuff in Japan tends to be spacer type setups for 26 blocks. I love my 30DET
  7. That'll do fine
  8. Are you using an aftermarket oil pump? then yes for the oil return. I'd probably even run one with a stock pump. I didn't run one to start with and sustained high rpm (5-6k+) while doing burnouts or drifting or tracking, fills the catchcan pretty damn quickly. I'm using an N1 pump with no restrictors though, restrictors and oil drain going in very shortly.
  9. Better yet, what exactly was done for $4500?
  10. Not sure on the exact differences, I'm using RB30 spec forged pistons. You might find that with 26 pistons on 30 rods on a 30 crank that you could be smashing pistons into valves.. need an experienced RB builder to answer that

  12. Hiflowing for $150 each?! I paid $160 each for my brand new Denso 550's..
  13. Put the lockbar in and then take it to Brad to be re-aligned, you won't regret it
  14. Nice one! I'll snap some pics of my 34 GTR Z-tune when I get home.. the masking job sucked a bit as it was my first two-tone paintjob. What are you guys using for tyres? and what motors are you running?
  15. Mine used to do that before I removed teh cactus HICAS..
  16. Hmmk, should probably stop whoring this guys thread now
  17. fire_angel, apparently you should recognise the person in the 3rd last pic..
  18. My Trust (GReddy) one came with 52mm holes (pretty sure they do 52 & 60), filed it out to fit my 60mm gauges.. and now I have 52mm gauges heh Nice piece of kit tho and fits the A-trim perfectly.
  19. 24psi?! When you disconnected the actuator did you just pull the hose? or disconnected the arm from the flap? Are you saying that with the actuator disconnected, it's still running 1bar? As for sparkplugs.. NGK BCP6ES-11's, gapped down to 0.8 if needed.
  20. +1 for the Trust item, I have one in my 32.
  21. I run a Nismo Pro GT 2-way, very happy with it but it's not for everyone..
  22. The ARC? you mean the AFR's? I'd wind the boost right down (even disconnect the actuator) until you get it tuned.. it's clearly flowing way more air than the ecu can handle!
  23. That's fkn dodgy as.. I'd get it on a dyno ASAP as it's mostly likely running dangerously lean at high boost/rpm.
  24. Sounds like you're hitting R*R.. 1 bar through a hiflow on an untuned stock ecu.. hello rebuild
