  1. I'll put money on it being that Xforce cat.. the 3" "hiflow" xforce cat I got is sh~t. I still have a similar flow restriction but that's because the turbo is too small for the motor.. goes from 245rwhp @ 5800rpm to 90rwhp by the time it hits the 6800rpm limiter
  2. Do you value your eyes?
  3. If this "multichecker" is simply pulling a timing figure from the ecu then it won't show any difference due to moving the cas. The ecu assumes 15deg base timing is set and everything is relative to that. As for why it's pinging off boost at low rpm in high gears... I'd be taking it to a pro quicksmart!
  4. I hope you get arrested.
  5. Yeah I wouldn't bother with prepping the stock rods, I am chasing a lowly power figure (300rwkw) for now which should be well within the realm of possibility for my stock RB30 rods. When I decide to chase more I'll be going for a set of Spool rods (and maybe even a stroker crank ).
  6. I was getting similar sort of economy until I realised that we forgot to plug the O2 sensor back in when we last had the motor out
  7. 32 GTR cooler..
  8. LOL, good call.
  9. Mucho easy to go in a 32 if you use a 32 25DE head. We did my conversion in a weekend and I drove it out of there at about 3am Monday morning on the stock ECU.
  10. If it's actually smoke and not just steam, then I think it's valve stem seals.. my $250 bunky is like that
  11. I used some 1.3mm ally sheet I had lying around, cut two strips, drilled a hole at each end and ran them from the bolts holding the AFM on to a couple of captive nuts in the chassis where I believe the stock airbox bolted to.
  12. Greg, read up slightly as I quoted and linked to the new changes.
  13. Not necessarily true, my R32 25DE head made 365rwkw @22psi in it's old car with no float whatsoever.. stock cams and springs
  14. eBay hey.. maybe you got something like this..
  15. My dads old AU Falcon.. stupid thing nearly killed me several times due to the dodgy gearbox. See a gap in traffic, go to take it, get a metre into traffic and the gearbox has a sad - car goes nowhere while you're looking at oncoming traffic! '87 Barina.. not much between you and everything else on the road. Oh and I saw a Matiz roll outside my house one day after it swerved to miss a Camry that nearly pulled out on it.. no injuries, it just rolled over onto its' roof and slid for another 50m before coming to a stop near my driveway.
  16. I passed with my rather noisy generic metal pod filter, she'll be right
  17. My bad, but I was told when I got my S13 diff (for the lower ratio) not to use the S13 driveshafts as they were weaker than my R32 items. They certainly look to be of a smaller diameter.
  18. 25det 5spd? should be fine, I'm not making a heap of power yet but I do beat up on it quite hard and it's holding up fine where the RB20 box died within a couple of months of the 30 going in! 3L TORQUE FTMFW!
  19. yay I like happy endings
  20. I believe we have a "double or nothing" deal here now where if you lose your license you can opt to keep driving on a good behaviour kind of bond but if you get caught again you lose your license for twice as long as you would have originally.
  21. Still only got a little turbo on mine for now but I came from an RB20 and the difference (same turbo) is chalk and cheese. The abundance of torque is great, being able to drive under 2000rpm and stay with traffic or not having to downshift from 5th to overtake.. fkn awesome, love it and wouldn't go back! Oh yeah, they sound tough
  22. Why changing driveshafts/halfshafts? Your stock halfshafts should plug into the S15 diff I think.. and the S13 driveshafts are a fair bit weaker apparently..
  23. Yeah add 3L torque to that equation and it sounds like a recipe for snapping things lol
