  1. I must have had a freak motor or a happy dyno.. my 20 made 183rwkw with the 25 turbo @ 12psi O_o
  2. Interesting, I'm running an N1 pump too - will pay attention to this thread and make some enquiries of my own, cheers dangerman
  3. DO IT.
  4. I love those excuses.. my most recent one was: oh dear, this 25 turbo is choking the 3L.. better get a GT35R.. and gate
  5. love it flake, I lol'd and my mrs was like wtf? Sometimes you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. I get yelled at for speeding (some old guy in Bassendean came running out of his house and yelled "SPEED THROUGH HERE AGAIN AND I'LL THROW A FKN BRICK THROUGH YOUR WINDOW" even though I wasn't speeding.. flake probably pissed him off ) and I get yelled at for going slow in the mornings when the car is getting up to temp!
  6. My bad.. seems I still have the bracket on my car but nothing attached to it
  7. I do believe there is supposed to be a bracket that goes from those 2 bolts to 2 bolts in the top of the Xmember..
  8. Is there a decent R32 workshop manual out there? not particularly the engine but moreso the body/driveline/electrics? gtst/gts4/gtr?
  9. What car do you have?
  10. The "pedal box" is just a bracket under the dash at the top of the clutch pedal, it's what the pedal and master cylinder are attached to (it is directly behind the clutch master cylinder that you can see in the engine bay). As for leaks, from memory, the fluid goes from the master cylinder, through a solid line to some sort of block at the bottom of the firewall on the drivers side then into a rubber hose to the slave cylinder. It's not a huge circuit so should be relatively easy to find any leaks. Start at the master cylinder and follow it down.
  11. You mean RB30ET? I need a new pump but my engine won't be seeing any more than 7000rpm, can I get away with a standard RB20 water pump? (also don't want to modify any holes etc to make it fit) In case it helps, I do enjoy a good burnout
  12. Thought as much
  13. You need to be able to advance the ignition ONLY in the areas where it's not seeing boost anymore, i.e. the stock ecu will be expecting to see a whole bunch of air under pressure between 2000-3000rpm which just isn't there anymore with the bigger turbo. It's not just a case of turn the CAS to get more advance, you need a custom tune, I had my stock 32 ecu remapped to suit my new engine
  14. Maybe.. but I already have an RB30 so I'll just settle for that
  15. I know that, tramp is an evil thing
  16. That's a mighty big 6.. how would you go for clearance? I had enough trouble squeezing an RB30 under my bonnet
  17. I'd be interested whether that was the cause of the axle tramp, or if the axle tramp snapped the studs..
  18. Let me get this straight.. your diff as the ABS sensor on the tailshaft side of the diff? If that's the case it will be fine. Use a GTR centre, keep your S13 housing, use GTR output shafts (doesn't matter if they have the ABS teeth) and GTR axles. Everything will fit in your housing but you would probably want to find a professional to install the centre and set up the backlash properly.
  19. Umm, ignore the pedal bracket and try figure out WHY you lost all of your clutch fluid. Once you've sussed out the leak, top it up and bleed it properly. The reason you're likely still having problems is A) there is still a leak and B) system needs to be bled after being empty and filled up. Good luck
  20. Not sure about those controllers, mine has a feature to hold the gate shut till a certain pressure (in my case I have it set to 9psi) which helps spooling. So you can compare, when I had the standard 25 turbo on my 20 it would start spooling about 2500, make full boost (12psi) by 3500rpm and max power about 6500rpm. That was all untuned.
  21. Interested to know conclusively what to use here, have a GT35R sitting at home waiting to go on and don't fancy blowing it up!
  22. A standard RB25 turbo on my old 20 was laggy.. a hiflow will be even more so. +1 get it tuned, they will be able to wind some timing into the offboost areas and get it spooling sooner. Also, what boost controller are you running if any?
  23. I drop back to 3rd, spool it up then let it overrun for a few seconds and then tap the throttle.. BANG! love it
  24. BLASPHEMY! I'd just buy a whole XR6T.. they're cheap as chips nowadays.
