I reckon this thread has done it's dash so I'm going to shut it down Will leave it visible for informational purposes unless advised otherwise.

O hai! I'll be up for something when I get back from Thailand
-
They use stock items but mine used two short shafts (stock setup is one short one long). Edit: just to clarify.. my Nismo diff was supplied with two (short) brand new, genuine Nissan shafts. If you try to use your standard shafts I reckon you will find the long shaft won't seat in the centre properly.

Advice On The Gt-Four And Gt-T
bubba replied to Snow Phoenix's topic in Naturally Aspirated Performance
I recently got myself a GT-V coupe (to reshell my 3L driveline into) and I must say, it goes alright for a non-turbo but I wouldn't want to add the extra weight of the 4WD setup though, would be an absolute pig! -
lol fair call Next time you're round I'll show you what I did with my heater hoses
-
Barely had time to grab brakes there was that little of a gap.. but hey, got an R34 now
-
Nice one chris but get that bumper painted!
-
I think it's a f**cking good thing that people are being so cautious as that's how a dickhead P plater wrote my 32 off.. I was the poor sucker heading straight through the lights when he tried to take a gap that wasn't there and failed miserably.
-
In the interests of road safety, what he said ^^
-
Won't be there as it's a few days before I head to Thailand to shoot fools, have fun girls!

SETGAIN really depends on how hard the setup ramps onto boost.. with the highflow on my 3L I had to have SETGAIN to around -5psi or in the lower gears it would spike significantly.
-
Just a quick note in regards to the half shafts, the Nismo LSD's are supplied with OEM Nissan half-shafts BUT, they are equal length (short IIRC) as opposed to the 1xlong/1xshort which is standard.
-
SETGAIN is the startboost function
-
And then there is SETGAIN
-
OP, what car did it come out of? It all depends on actuator pressure as the boost controller is a % increase.. i.e. 50% on an RB25 actuator is not the same as 50% on an RB20 actuator And as said above, I would reset the gain and setgain and tweak them from scratch to suit the setup in the new car.
-
That sounds rather harsh, you didn't piss them off at all did you?
-
I definitely know s2 does but I thought s1 was like R33 and had a separate control unit?

If I need something last minute I go to Couplers in Malaga, if I'm prepared to wait I order from the likes of summitracing.com Just be aware the fittings are huge, you should be fine with the 25 but with the 30 I couldn't shut the bonnet so just went back to stock fittings with pushlock hose.
