  1. Will have the quotes back this arvo but it's pretty well a donor car now
  2. Ahh that sucks mate (not as much as P-platers writing your car off though). I was running a highflow on the Neo engine in my Stagea, built by a local turbo guru but even something like a Hypergear bolt-on highflow (not one of their huge ones with custom housings) would be an excellent bang-for-buck upgrade. Should be able to get an easy 220-240rwkw out of the standard injectors, was only running 15psi through mine but it certainly made the 2t bus get up and boogy.
  3. So just as I finish sorting out all the teething problems of the new setup and was thinking of booking it in for a tune.. some dumbass P-plater tries to make the gap and failed hard The old girls heart will beat again soon, hopefully in the body of a sexy young 34
  4. No high mount this and that, some GTR or bigger brakes and it should be fine. They will probably have less of a spaz than with the 3L.
  5. No worries! That setup will be an absolute ball tearer
  6. Nissan VH41/5. I'm running an older 90mm without all the fandangled gadgetry hanging off it.
  7. I run 3.9s which is quite good with the RB30 torque but I wouldn't want to go much taller.
  8. I have used a stock RB30 crank with an N1 pump and when I pulled it down there were witness marks on the inside of the inner gear. This time around I had the crank snout welded up and put some Reimax gears in the N1 pump housing.
  9. Bsa: I looked into a Plazaman plenum and I wasn't convinced it would fit under my strut brace without lowering the engine which is why I went the way I did (25/30 in a 32gtst)
  10. Bottom hose is into the engine, top hose is out. Put it in the top hose.
  11. I reckon it's well worth putting a switch in I also use it as a visual indicator (missile switch) to tell me whether the circuit is complete or not as if you unplug the plug and then don't press the brake pedal 5 times when you start the car, as soon as you start rolling the system will throw up an error and go into a 50/50 split which WILL destroy things if you drive around too much like that.
  12. Few pics to help out For the AAC I welded a spigot to the underside of the throttle (before the butterfly) and just ran some 1/2" hose over to where it mounts on the underside of the plenum.
  13. What head? I'm using an RB20 NIStune on my 25/30 but it's an R32 RB25DE head so everything is RB20 setup, no dramas
  14. As for the hose spigot, if your AAC isn't utilised then block everything up. As for the plenum, I had a custom one made using a GTR plenum chamber and stock RB20 runners (RB25/30 with an N/a non-vct head) and a Q45 t/b on the front positioned so that I could utilise the standard GTR cooler/plumbing I fitted up. No relocation of battery etc. Barely cost more than a FReddy manifold.
  15. Interesting.. my mrs wants a 7D as a backup for her 1D.. can't see the link at work though
  16. People buy them because they like rice. They are not meant to be used with afm's and stock ecu's. Run a map sensor setup and tune for it, no worries. I'm not a trained mechanic and I don't work for Nissan but like a lot of people on here who do a lot of the work themselves, I've been there and done a fair bit.. the "I'm a mechanic, I know everything" sort of attitude won't get you very far around here.
  17. Umm.. there is such a thing as TOO rich but hey, your theory obviously outweighs my real world experience
  18. I put a full gtr cooler/bov setup on my 32gtst, awesomely compact and complete solution. With a stainless mesh pod filter, stainless intake pipe and the 2" bov return, it's almost as noisy as some aftermarket bov's.. but less offensive, nicer to drive with (still afm) and draws less attention. Edit: oh and my setup is legal. The reason atmo bov's are ILLEGAL is not because they can make your car run a little rich when you lift off the gas (which will make your engine want to stall), they are illegal because EVERYTHING that goes in through your intake, MUST come out the exhaust via the cat.
  19. If you want a new radiator, PM chuckie, he has a guy that does OEM replacement Koyorad items installed with a full system flush for a VERY good price. TBH I would upgrade to an OEM GTR sized unit as the stock GSTt units are woefully thin!
  20. Just put some Reimax gears in an old N1 pump and bolted it to the latest iteration of my 30, forgot to take photos though Got a spare 30 block waiting for the Neo in the wagon to snap and I will be going the same way with the oil pump setup.. welding up the snout, Reimax gears in N1 (Neo) pump.
  21. Interesting, so instead of sourcing another RB26 or N1 pump to chuck some Reimax gears in, I can just chuck them straight into the Neos pump
