  2. If the coilovers aren't adjustable they should pass fine, make sure the exhaust isn't too loud and has a cat fitted, and make sure the pod filter is bracketed down. If the bov is atmo. venting, chuck a stock one on. Post some pics when you get them
  3. Ring up and make an appointment at Midland or Welshpool? (I think.. I've only made appointments at the Midland pits) dpi.wa.gov.au website is your friend Haven't taken my Stag over but all the normal things apply.. tread/fluids/lights/leaks/seatbelts/etc.. just make sure everything is neat and tidy and don't try to hide anything. Does it have any mods?
  4. Just count yourself lucky you're not in WA.. I've got a spray painter mate who said that after the epic hailstorm the other month, his shop has THREE YEARS work from ONE insurer.. and they do work for 4 different insurers!
  5. Which is why the Neos seem to have an 80-82deg thermostat as opposed to the earlier 76.5deg ones.
  6. Have you put a new fuel pump in? the stocker will be getting quite old and lazy.
  7. I would think that having smaller piping from cooler to throttlebody than from turbo to cooler, would help maintain velocity after the small pressure drop from the cooler.. having piping larger than your throttlebody would be pointless though and having piping smaller than your throttlebody would be restrictive.
  8. The SAFC should allow you to raise your afm cut (it's not boost cut damnit! ) as you're bending the afm signals, so the cut threshold would be proportionatly higher. A full aftermarket ECU would allow you to wind some timing in to it but whether you would see top end gains with the 25 turbo already so close to its' limits would remain to be seen. Generally, being able to adjust timing helps with getting bigger turbos on boost (i.e. improve midrange). Like I said, another dyno might give you a reading of 280rwhp but they are just tuning tools, not comparison tools.
  9. I think I need to find me a copy of said book
  10. No need to have piping larger than your throttlebody as the throttlebody is then going to be a restriction... i.e. stock t/b is what? 63mm? that's 2.5".. That being said, is there any reason to have piping larger than your turbo outlet??
  11. Doubt it.. 260rwhp give or take, is pretty much on the money. Try a different dyno and you might get 280
  12. My thoughts exactly
  13. I haven't had trouble on antilag cruises but I know people who have, and they weren't even being idiots.. they were just the unfortunate souls bringing up the rear of the pack and wore the brunt of the popos' displeasure.
  14. Maybe your cat has collapsed?
  15. Don't need a fpr unless you want to squeeze a little bit extra out of whatever injectors you are using. Stock reg is fine for our power levels. Yes, I have an 044 in tank, been like that for a few years now. It's running a stock-type sock filter setup and mounted as low as possible in the tank (Hyperdrive advised and set it up like that). My mate is also running one set up like mine in his 580awhp 3L'd GTS4.. no surge at all even with the G's this thing pulls off the line (limiter launch is pretty scary lol). TBH dude, go the spool rods AND a decent balancer.. it's the only thing I regret about my 30.. not putting decent rods and a decent balancer on to begin with. Even if you wait a bit longer to save up the cash, in the long run you'll thank yourself
  16. Cool, bunnos not really that far away We'll see how long the current box lasts when the new engine/turbo setup is in.. the box has crunched 2nd a bit ever since I got it I got around that by just starting in 2nd instead of trying to hit 2nd
  17. Damn tricksy electrickery
  18. I'm not sure on that last point But really, it's peace of mind.. when I was running my 30 with stock rods, no balancing, a 6,800rpm rev limit and 250rwhp, the stock balancer was fine. Now that I'm spending $_$ on building it properly and plan to beat up on it a fair bit aswell as make twice the power it was making before, a new quality balancer seems the way to go. The major deciding factor for me is that after lots of research, it seems the majority of the oil pumps that die have stock balancers strapped to the front. Good balancing and a good harmonic balancer should go a long way to keeping your bottom end together.

    Socceroos =(

    I blame the mexican refs. Bloody mexicans.
  20. Vtec must have kicked in
  21. wut? 25DET heads need a gallery welded to suit the 30 block and AFAIK only 26 heads need the block drilled/tapped for bigger studs.. The only plug and play heads are the R32 RB25DE heads.

    Socceroos =(

    They may have won 2-1, but they are still shit in defence, it's just lucky we didn't have more goals scored against us. Man up and stop leaving the opposition with plenty of room.
  23. Yeah I wasn't feeling well all weekend but how did you know that??
