  1. And building an RB30DET is like building the perfect woman
  2. Can you PM me details please? This is the first mob I've heard of that do them in WA! Hopefully they can do the tiptronic boxes..
  3. I searched and searched and couldn't find that thread about the $300 240kw DIY turbo, oh well.
  4. Technically yes, but you can make them intank. 040's also have an integral pickup (which I'm not a fan of) whereas the 044 you can use a sock filter setup like the stock pumps.
  5. Just wait till you get the 30 in, then it's super fun happy awesome time
  6. Dr.Drift over east can remap R33 ECU's but it's not cheap.. Otherwise, you can Nistune a z32 ECU to run your R33 with VCT. And 4 months of running rich as hell will foul spark plugs.. hell, blow a cooler pipe and you can foul them in a few minutes. I reckon 7-8psi would be fine.
  7. Don't see why not, people do some bastardising with RB and VG turbos.... have a search for the 240kw $300 turbo or whatever it was...
  8. I think there's a group buy running.. I got my braided brake lines from a group buy a long time ago. My braided clutch line is a HPI item that I got from justjap.
  9. Use some mic foam to reduce the wind noise..
  10. Sorry no pics yet But I did figure out why my VCT wasn't working.. need to get it tuned again but WOW, it's no longer a laggy piece of shit
  11. Put the Bosch in and throw the Walbro in the bin. Bosch 044 - intank, stock type sock filter setup, rewired, RB30DET, 250rwhp, soon to be 500rwhp (have seen the exact same pump setup support 580hp @ hubs)
  12. Crown wheel bolts are bigger diameter on the R33gtst diff. (Crown wheel has to stay with the housing because it matches the pinion gear, R32gtst and R33gtst are different ratios)
  13. +1 for the master cylinder stopped and braided lines.
  14. +1 Where did you get your shift kit from?
  15. WELLITY WELLITY WELLITY Turns out it IS due to the temp sensor, the workshop the previous owner used to install the Haltech must have swapped the ECU water temp sensor out for something else. When I use Datascan to force the ECU to see a particular temperature, VCT actually WORKS!! (70deg seems to be what it needs to see to be enabled with the Neo engine). The difference is about 20deg between the stock ECU and the Haltech. It's a completely different car with VCT working, no longer a laggy piece of shit! lol Really doesn't like reving over 4500rpm, accidentally got there a couple of times because it spins up much more nicely now but it pops and farts (probably leanout misfire ) need to get it tuned with VCT now. A question for the tuning gurus.. is it possible to throw a stock water temp sensor back in and "recalibrate" the Haltech somehow? don't really want to cut the VCT wire and make the Haltech to control it as it will be coming out in favour of a Nistune eventually.
  16. Yes, GTR catbacks fit on GTSt/4 2 doors, not sure about 4 doors as I've never had one.
  17. That's exactly what happened to mine. I had an electronics mate I used to work with at the automotive R&D place try to track me down the plugs but to no avail That's where I got mine from except I could only get an RB26 one at the time. Justjap has them aswell, for all models it seems.
  18. No apologies needed, there's just more than one way to skin a cat
  19. wow that's not very comforting when I'm in the process of looking for a machinist
  20. If it's not too dark when I get home I'll take some happy snaps
  21. You're buying the wrong stuff then and if you're relying on the in-built IR LED's, you're an idiot. Please don't tell me how to suck eggs
  22. I blame import drivers. They must be the culprits.
  23. Double de-clutch with a throttle blip and it should go in real nice like. Also works to get it in to 1st gear while rolling.
  24. On the weekend I finally go around to fitting the carpc into the wagoon, had already fitted teh screen previously when I put the CB in but had a couple of wiring issues.. got those sorted out yesterday so now everything works mint! Must say, I've missed having a carpc!
