A GT30R, lowmounted, isn't going to look stock.. especially with all the custom piping etc. A highflowed Neo turbo is the biggest "stock looking" turbo setup you could go.. I think they're good for 240-260wkw depending.

Going to spend a few thousand on building an engine (even if it does have stock rods and not going to be revving very hard) and then put a 15-20yo balancer on the front? o..k.. +1 on the 044 in tank.

Is the engine still running when you hear this ticking sound? (might be a stupid question but when you say "park" I assume it is off..)

My 32 was my daily for nearly 3 years, through various levels of modification.. got pulled over 3 times.. first by D's because I gave it a bit of welly on to Leach Hwy, pulled me over to tell me to take it easy, popped bonnet, made me rev engine etc, cya on your way. Second time, had just put 3L in, then had to take car to suspension shop, picked it up, hadn't sorted bonnet not shutting properly (passenger side sat up about 4", was only on the safety latch). Had a new 3L and new suspension setup, grabbed 2nd a bit too vigourously across an intersection on the way home. Cops were going other way, didn't see me but heard it, took a while to catch up, pulled me over, asked me to pop bonnet.. I asked if they had anything to cut the cable tie.. it went downhill pretty quickly from there.. drove home with a yellow sticker Third time, heading in to work in town on Xmas eve, cops in paddy wagon saw wrong colour rego sticker (was 2 days late ), cops went over my car, pop bonnet, ask for permits etc, had a chat about the local indigenous population, fine for not displaying current rego sticker, cya on your way. In the Stagea, never been pulled over other than going through booze busses (escaped without notice). Oh did get pulled over at like 5am one morning when heading to a paintball tournament, I had just pulled out of my driveway and headed up the adjacent street. I could see high beams coming down my street and said to the mrs, I bet that's cops. They turn to follow me, lit me up, sat behind for a minute then pulled round next to me and said sorry mate, just got some reports of dodgy people in the area. Good to see they were doing their job diligently I have found that if your car isn't a R.I.C.E. mobile and you're not driving like a cockhead, they won't bother you. I think being older with a beard helps too

+1 for the 86.5, if you don't HAVE to go 87mm then don't as it leaves room for a future rebuild without scrapping the block. We run NDC bearings in our 30s. Put a decent balancer on there, we run the 1000hp ATI balancers, have heard some good things about the Ross stuff but no personal experience.

You mean something like this? that's what I'm using to run 324mm rotors with 33gtst calipers on my 32.

Even Truckline has the stuff (and is open when the others aren't.. found out when I popped a cooler hose on a Sunday lol), just make sure you they know it's not for a truck or you'll pay what they charge the truckies heh.

Depends how much you want to spend.. 33gtr fronts are 324mm rotors and I am running those on my 32 with 33gtst calipers on adapter brackets. Those along with Ferodo DS2500 pads, braided lines, decent fluid and a master cylinder stopper. Stops pretty damn well and didn't cost anywhere near half as much as brembos. Pretty much all the turbo skyline rears are identical.

I think the HKS 3037's were popular in japland for making bulk power.. that's what those cars that do 0-300km/h in 13 seconds were running.

It's NOT boost dependant, it is airflow dependant.. What I have noticed is that the factory ECU's seemed to get less tolerant as the years went on.

Question: just came across some "steering rack offset bushes".. are these designed to help alleviate tie rod angles when running tie rod spacers? i.e. like cutting'n'shutting the rack further forward? OR Do they serve some other purpose?
