  4. the stock side skirts have 4 screws back and front to position them , and obviously the plastic clips on the underside . i just painted the pan heads black , to match the car . its not something anyone is going to really look at , besides you need screws when doing after marker skirts , you want to have the skirt in position if your scribing any corners etc . when i did my skirts the first thing i did was screw them on at one side so i could position them and work with them . each to their own at the end of the day , but iv used this method for most of the cars iv had . just remember no skirt will fit as good as the factory components , after scribing itll satisfactory but not like a finger in a glove on the first fitment.. but fibreglass is crap compared to the genuine plastic
  5. 1 . Pre position the skirts, make sure they fit snug , scribe if neccesary which will probably be the case if they are fibregalss . 2. Pre drill the skirt into the body of the car with a 3mm - 4mm bit , depending on what size screws you use , probably pan heads are best . 3 . have some 3m double sided tape aside and some clear silicon for the final fitment . once painted apply the double sided tape , and if there are any major parts that dont want to hold , apply some silicon and grab some lengths of timber to use as wedges , to wedge off the concrete to hold over night . few blobs on the underside of the skirt to prevent vibration . this is the method i followed when i fitted my skirts , they arent factory skirts so they wont have the underside clips and pre position lugs into the body so this will suffice .

  16. so i thought id venture down the road of making a custom gauge holder and going the extra mile for once , rather then buying a twin pod pillar holder and have to worry about another reason to get defected. I took a lark with this ruining my air con vents and possibly having to buy a new fascia if things didn't go too well lol. but to my luck and skill i managed to conjure up this gauge holder , which i now can fit 3 x 60mm gauges comfortably . procedure : basically i removed the vent and cut out existing plastic in the center . I then grabbed 3 lids off of some spray can bottles , which were perfect to fit my 60mm gauges . i positioned the lids as i desired , and glued them in with some poxy over night to keep position . the gauges fit perfectly in the vent without any cutting . once everything is dry i covered the back of the fascia / cups with some packaging tape ( which prepares for the spray of foam) basically i just filled the vent in with foam which drys and forms my substrate. from then i used a dremil to shape the foam into my desired look . then the shit part comes into play , butter the foam with a good layer of filler/bog , shape the curves as best i could so i have less sanding . once dry basically spend my time with a dremil flattening the filler and shaping it so it is easy to sand . now an hour of good sanding . finally on to spray , i packed it up with a few layers of thick 2k primer , and repeated a few light 400 grit sands in between coats . i chose to spray it gloss black with 2k . I'm pretty impressed with my results , and i have no dicky gauge holder sitting on the dash or any pod pillars obstructing vision .
  17. edit your add on carsales , youll definitly have some better feedback chasing that price . but do yourself a favour , strip as much as you can and sell it on here . youll definitly add more to your sale value
  18. the market is dead because theres so many skylines out there for sale , valuation has gone down dramatically . its funny how the importers still try to get 18k for an r33 skyline . i was going to say the same thing , strip the car so its stock , sell the parts , and possibly get the front fixed up , detailed and cleaned. you will have much better chances selling , if your that desperate to get rid of it , otherwise i garuentee you'll have it for months ahead . bite the bullet and just sell it cheaper , you''ll get the same money you would by the time you keep dropping it over the next few months
  19. the market is dead , for what is has i would say 10 k is acceptable , but looking on carsales you can pick a 96 s2 up for 7-8 k . only way is to wait out until the right buyer comes along , may take months to be honest.
  20. be realistic with the way the market is , you can get a turbo 34 between 11 - 13 grand . unless you get the odd P plater looking to get a first car your price is a little high . id be chasing around 10 if that , if i were you. otherwise you'll be waiting endlessly . good luck with sale though , rare colour should help
  21. hey stevedegs , remember seeing this car on here many years back just some info to help , pretty sure you have a 1995 series 1.5 more than likely , from what photos can tell - series 1.5 has the front grill with the two little small fins in it , anything older had the s badge in the 3 lined grill . - evident that the seats and door cards were changed , even the dash fascia is series 2 , aswell as headlights . could of been in a hit , thats usually what happens , what better time to upgrade to the series 2 look . but wasnt smart enough to change the grill ? - and dodgey rego papers are definitly going to cause you trouble - the air bags are a dead give away as mentioned earlier never the less hope you have some luck trying to sell this thing , with the amount of cash spent .its a pain in the ass even getting a buyer out to your house these days to sell an r33 , lol - id know iv had 3 - r33 series 2s and a 34 , and its never been easy selling . maybe try sus out your self whats the go with the year model , so thats one less thing people hit you on. im sure its easier to say interior and exterior has been updated rather then trying to say its 96 . cheers hope this helps
