  4. ^^A licence is indeed a privilege BUT putting all these restrictions on having the licence is turning that privilege into a burden. Sure you still get to drive but as others have already said, you'll be so on edge and worrying about your speed, if your blinkers are working properly etc that your concentration on the road will definately waver. It does make it very unfair on the other 99% of people that do the right thing and abide by the road rules just because of the 1% of other people that have heavy right feet. It's not just P Platers either, in Sydney on any given day or time, all you have to do is follow the speed limit and observe that the majority of other cars on the road except for the one behind you (which will probably overtake you) is speeding. I dont understand why they can make it compulsory for people that want to get their motorbike licences to have to go to a 2 day course before they can even be eligible to take the RTA test for their L's, and then another riding test on the streets before they can get their P's. But they dont make it compulsory for car drivers to have to complete a similar course. The high performance vehicle restrictions probably is a good idea, but at the same time, im sure that any owner of a skyline or any other performance vehicle regardless of how much power it has will definately take more care in driving it becuase they dont want their pride and joy wrapped around a tree, pole or person. I know i dont
  5. Sounds good tho, would be nice to finally meet some of you guys n girls Count me 80% in
  6. ok then thats all i wanted to know thanks
  7. As the title states, has anyone here done or heard of it being done before? Theoretically i can see how it would benefit the RB20 but i just dont know if it would work?
  8. i was under the impression that 1st is only really used from a standstill? ive got a 32 as well n it doesnt go into 1st unless im basically stopped, and wen it does on the odd occasion coz ive misjudged my speed, it takes a hell of a lot of effort to get it in there, n then it throws me forward out of my seat wen u let the clutch out coz the gear is too slow....
  9. Hopefully you still have them in 2 weeks or so, after i get my major service done then i can afford them
  10. edit: dw i read the pm again properly
  11. hey guys, as per title, my front right side brake has a clicking/ light clunking noise. strangely enough, it only happens when i reverse, and even then it doesnt happen all the time. sometimes it will click once and i wont hear it for the rest of the day, other times wen im reversing i can tap the brake numerous times and it will click. Any ideas would b great
  12. black carpet looks dodgy i noe but i was too lazy to hunt down better carpet looks a bit messy but it does look nice n clean wen u have another amp mounted
  13. since i didnt have the metal plate in the car when i bought it i cut out a 750mm x 270mm mdf board and screwed it into the old holes. it does leave a gap underneath it to pass cables through but my installer drilled holes through the board. ill try and get sum pics
  14. ur goin all out on this parcel shelf lol. i knocked mine over in like 2 hrs, didnt even think about putting foam or anything. the cut on 9mm is steeper but everything fits in nice and snug. i onli used 9mm coz i had it lying around but even if i was to go and buy it, i wud still use 9mm. just seems more solid, and since im going to have subs, i figure the heavier the thing is, the less it'll vibrate i ditched all the stock clips and all that and just screwed it in with self tappers from under it i suck with a jigsaw so the wood was pretty sh*t...but after u cover it with carpet ($12 for 1mx2.5m from spotlight) u dont even see the wobbly cuts lol.
  15. if u just like bass then stick with the speakers u already have, filter out all the bass from them if ur headunit can do it get a nice monoblock amp and a couple of subs n u'll do fine i might be selling 2 brand new pioneer 400w rms dual voice coil subs if ur interested
  16. smaller wheel = less distance to turn for a full circle = tighter steering = more effort to make the wheel turn as for not turning back i have no idea lol. maybe ur not going fast enuff...mine does it as well but onli wen im goin heaps slow big fat front tires dont help either
  17. All the wires have power/signal, i went at it with a test lamp n everything seemed fine. so im kinda stumped
  18. Just got 2 amps installed today but one of em isnt turning on? its all wired in correctly, all of the fuses are in tact, everything was professionally installed. any ideas?
  19. Hot days in the car coz the warranty company decides they'll take 2 weeks to authorise my mechanic to order a part for my A/C wtf how hard is it to say, yeh, order the part. oh and right arm drivers tan.
  20. The heaver the wood ur using wud b better, less vibrations. Plus more depth for the screws to go
  21. hey all As above where have you guys mounted your amps? I was thinking of putting a sheet of MDF across where the metal plate used to be in the boot and mounting them there. Just wanna know if there are any other better places
  22. What type of sound does it make?
  23. Hey mate, pmd u about the 1/4 window panel
  24. just run the speakers straight off the headunit or aftermarket amp
  25. hey mate i made up a new parcel tray for mine not long ago. just take ur old one out and trace it onto another sheet of mdf i used 9mm mdf, you have to cut the edge that sits against the windscreen on an angle though otherwise it wont fit in properly. you also have to cut the sides a little shorter coz theres no way you will get the parcel tray in with the speakers already mounted. as for the stock amp, just bypass it. theres heaps of threads on it already. when u mount the parcel tray just get under it in the boot and get some self tapping screws n screw it into place through the existing holes good luck
