  5. your synchros are probably dieing. good gearbox oil will only help it redline gearbox oils are good
  6. just go to some hobby shop n get a tamiya TT-01 chassis car, lock the diffs and get some ABS plastic tyres on there n you'll drift just fine. They're pretty cheap
  7. I may be in for this, gotta check with the gf coz her bday is the next day
  8. Usually people put SR's in 32's for drifting coz the motor itself is shorter and lighter so it balances the car out more, making it easier to drift. Or so ive read also... as for specs, stock for stock the SR has slightly better specs then the RB but not by much. try this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p?showtopic=825 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p?showtopic=661
  9. i never thought about squeezing the pad. ive used heaps of waxes and ive found the tech wax to be the 'wettest' most waxes i have kinda dry and polish off easily but tech wax stays slightly wet n it takes more effort to polish off
  10. yeh thats pretty normal. i waxed mine yesterday for the first time in a while n i forgot to shake it so yeh the water came out. its fine after a good shake
  11. xzhibit (pimp my ride remade a transam)
  12. I drive my 32 gts-t on my red P's in nsw Legally of course coz ive got no restrictions, i got my license in 04' n lost it for a little while so the laws dont apply Its kinda strange coz i dont get pulled over as much as i thought i would, but they always follow me for a little while. Probs doing license checks. But of the few times i have been pulled over, ive had one occasion when the officer was nice, the rest were kinda grumpy that they couldnt book me Im with him, its just not worth it

  14. I'll take it, Give me a call 0412741778 to arrange payment and pickup
  15. if you still have the factory turbo+wastegate actuator, technically you cant turn it down lower then the set pressure, only up. Boost controllers only restrict the pressure the actuator sees and tricks it into thinking theres less boost so it continues to build more Maybe theres something wrong with your actuator or boost gauge 14psi on the standard turbo wont last very long, but then there have been people who have run it on 14 for ages and not had any problems.
  16. it shouldnt be that high coz the factory wastegate actuator is set to 10psi so if you havent got a boost controller to turn it up it should sit at around 10psi n who said you cant fit a bleed valve/boost controller to a 32? :S
  17. that someone reputable was sydneykid n the basic gist of it was that theyre worthless coz 1. the car sitting still wont cool the oil, moving air cools it. so driving around the block before u turn the car off is more effective 2. they make the car easier to steal
  18. oh well silly me. i could swear that when i did a search this morning the only thing i came up with was some guy selling a second hand one :S
  19. well it seems hes not selling them nemore coz theres no listing on ebay for them i want to get myself another one coz i might have over drilled this one
  20. Hey all, just went for a routine checkup in the engine bay. I checked in the breather pipes on top of the engine and there was a some oil in them, stuck my finger in and it came out coated in oil. Now i know this could be considered blow by, but my turbo is dying aswell n its on its way to a rebuild. Theres a tiny bit of oil coming out of the comp cover. My oil levels haven't moved since my last oil change about 2k ago (if they have its hardly noticeable), and i havent noticed it blowing any smoke. Does the worn turbo seal have anything to do with the oil in the breather pipes or are they both problems on their own? Im gonna get a comp/leakdown test soon so that should tell me everything i need to know, but i just wanted to know what you guys thought
  21. hey all, since everyone seems to have drilled a hole in theirs, i went ahead and drilled mine as well. Not sure if its a little to big or not but it definately spools a whole lot faster. Anyway what happens if the hole is too big? And since the hole is letting boost get out to keep the wastegate shut, wouldnt that mean my turbo is working harder to create the same amount of pressure then if it wasnt drilled?
