i initially thought it was the aircon pulley bearings..... but since it got more noticable seems like alternator....... do alternaters make squeeking noises when there on there way??? is there something in the alternator that needs replacing???

alot of skylines have the same issue with climate control making noise mind does it occasionally it does it less when u press the button which circulates air down to your feet.......

you should get an aftermarket boost gauge.......15psi is abit much for stock turbo....i was told by a tuner 13psi would be the safe limit......

ill have to check the belt tension but it almost sounds like some bearing noise from a pulley or the alternator itself.....

Got abit of an issue where my car has like a belt squeeking noise from start up, when it first started first 50 secs of start up no noise then it would start. Cant be noticed when driving but when goin slow or at idle is always there.... i dont think its a belt......seems like it coming from the alternator......is this a sign the alternator is on its way? has got louder more noticable over last 5 months.......

buy a sigma for a conversion that would trip ppl out hahaha

yeh id like to see this too....any r34 with lows? i saw a pic on an ebay add and it didnt even looked lowered at all.....i think super lows are what you want for the lowered look........

just an idea maybe its a band expander thing for jap radios to get aus frequencys for fm radio.....

thanks mate my dvd unit has pal and ntsc switched to ntsc screen works! also my tv audio was on ntsc switched to pal and now i have sound.....

when playing mp3's on the eonon the menu screen works/shows on alpine screen fine..... shows mp3 menu list fine but not when i play dvd or tv........

i installed a single din eonon 4 inch screen dvd player which has av output, which is connected to my alpine tve t720 jap spec tv screen. picture is black and white and fuzzy on the alpine, what would be causing this? the rca i used is standard home type.... could this be causing this? the 4 inch screen picture is fine. Also the eonon unit has tv tuner i can get picture/tv but no sound..... the car has a jap antenna in back window...2 antenna wires on each side of window a pair have pal written on them the other is in jap i imagine its ntsc? ..... the eonon unit has only 2 inputs for tv antenna but the car had 4 tv wires i left the other 2 disconnected. my question is does one of the wires input sound and the other picture? thanks for any help in

i dont think there are ultra lows for r33......only lows........king springs catalogue only have lows for r33 and r34 last time i looked..

hey mate in my r34 there is the plastic pipe u describe and another plug for sensor connected in........ someone with a r33 needs to confirm its the same.......i would imagine it is thou....the plastic pipe connects to the back of the unit and the from memory the plug is on the side u see anything like that?

u can feed a few wires through a rubber grommet which the bonnet release cable goes through....it comes out a small hole near the corner drivers firewall.... when installing boost gauge i fed a steel wire through first then attached wiring/tubing to that. to get to it the kick panel will need to be removed.

should be the same for r33 in my car the sensor in a little vent to the left of the steering wheel was disconnected which caused problem u described, could be any of the sensors thou....cold air at 18....anything more it went hot. also when u did the diagnostic did it tell u the temp the sensors were reading were they all similar? because my the faulty sensor in mine was given a really different reading......as for the noise i get that too is abit annoying!

yeh i can confirm they wont be a strate fit bolt on spacers required........not suited to skylines........

i have a r34 99 gtt i recently did a oil change according to specs book z422 the smaller filter is the correct one...... i opted for the z145a as said it seems to fit the same and is bigger easier to remove.....does anyone know the actual reason for goin the smaller filter??? my car also had a z145a when dealer/importer did oil change.......

i dont want to T off the ps vacuum..the stock set up isnt coming from that...... i see the wastegate/actuator connection in the pic........ now for the other connection to manifold ic piping will it be alrite to connect to how the stock one connects???... even easier would it work if u removed the two hoses which go in to the stock solinoid and plug it up there leaving the t piece and other connection in place??

i was looking at my r34 as im going to get a boost controller. ive done a r33 bc, the connection on those is on the cooler pipe which goes to the plenum & the other on the wastegate. i noticed on the neo however stock the connection is not on the cooler pipe its plugged into the pipe right near the turbo which makes its way to the intercooler.... so does it still work all the same??

yeh the gtt would be the go.........if u enjoy driving wont be the same without turbo....

hi everyone had a look around forums need to verify a few things, my r34 has the triple gauge set up, i want to replace the boost gauge, will be getting a 52mm guage which should fit. my question is how do u remove cluster i read somewhere cant find it now u pry open air vents which are clipped in, with screwdriver is that right? There are screws holding the cluster & clips? also can i just remove the old gauge and replace it and use existing wires? is the stock guage mechanical or electronic? thanks in advance...... any pics would be great.....
