  1. I can't help but feel as though the threats of bans are making the situation worse, to me it seems like many have gotten the "fcuk you, you can't stop me, i'll do what i want" attitude and have begun to carry on like lunatics more-so.. I'll admit as a P Plater, I've got the "you can't stop me" attitude towards the proposed bans, however my attitude is more directed at the fact I don't want to give up my "performance car" which I drive sensibly (and enjoy doing so).. I think it's time to perhaps start putting some mild limits in place, it's getting out of hand, but they also need to focus more on driver education. At the end of the day, though, dickheads will be dickheads and you're probrably not going to change their mind. Too many people just see it all as a game.
  2. Oh FOR FCUKS SAKE... this is just what we need.... when will ****heads learn
  3. As long as I don't have to sell my car, fine. Thank **** I don't have that long to go on my red P's. I still believe they need to focus more on other areas as well as banning things. but what can u do.....
  4. The one time I delt with that guy he came accross as a massive c0ckhead..... .. I see my suspicions were right on the money
  5. I think endorsing driver training is a very, very smart move. There's also other steps they should take to save lives on the roads; but I don't go into it as its a little controversial for some. Having been involved in both a bad accient(i was not the driver) and having lost someone I know in a fatal car accident within the last 6 months, I too most definately feel action needs to be taken, however they're seeking solutions in the wrong places (except driver training which is most certainly an excellent suggestion)
  6. Don't go for a Hyundai. Most of them aren't too reliable and the build quality isn't to be desired. Honda parts are expensive. Mitsubishi Eclipse you probrably wouldn't find here and if you did I'd steer clear unless you're made of money. Finding spare parts would be a complete hassle. Non turbo S13's are a decent choice, but as mentioned the insurance costs are horrble. Personally I'd say go with something like a Nissan Pulsar or Mazda 323 or Mitsubishi Lancer. They're common, but this is a good thing. These cars are quite easily insurable, safe, and unless you buy a lemon theyre reliable too. I regret not taking this path myself as it's a great way to build up your insurance NCB so that you can insure whatever car you like without paying a fortune later in life. When deciding, I reccomend you get insurance quotes on each of the cars you're considering, also look around at part costs for most common items which are required for maintenance.
  7. lol.. *sigh* memories
  8. I don't know why I'm still here, I drive a freakin' lawnmower.. I guess my daily driver Pintara is sort of a mini-skyline... well.. ok... maybe not... hahaha

  12. Damn right. :Pimp: Oh yeah, Unless you're going R34 GT-R (And a good example at that) Go Series 8 RX-7. They're a real drivers car.
  13. Saw Kabab today (SKY32R) around St Marys..... What the hell were you doin out here man?!
  14. Leave it in or perhaps put black mesh instead. Good Mesh protects the cooler in a massive way
  15. In that case you should be able to apply to get it brought in as a parts/scrap car only.
  16. I have had the displeasure of dealing with these asshats..... And I shall never deal with them again. They charged me a stupid amount for tasks which were either poorly completed or not completed at all; Take for example the $83 "New Battery Install" which wasn't even a new battery, nor installed, heck it wasn't even secured. It appeared they grabbed another battery out of another car and just chucked it in there. And I litterally mean chucked. It wasnt tied down, screwed in, nothing. Just sitting there. And then there's the "New Wheel Studs" Oh, I mean the "Hey this bolt fits, lets chuck it on" That was also awesome. Awful and would not reccomend them.
  17. Not any more! GET WITH THE TIMES MAN! haha

But anyway, Boss is going to write a letter saying I'm on call 24/7 as a technician and that includes his Internet Cafe in the City... So I can at least go for a leisurely cruise to the city on a Saturday night if I please
  23. I ponder the same, but according to the RTA; "It IS happening and the bill WILL be passed for effect in December"
  24. I just found out from a very reliable source, who attended the official RTA meeting, that it IS being introduced for ALL P platers, effective in December for the hours 10pm to 6am
