DOTARS are/were not accepting import approvals till before Jan 01, so its risky business if Jspec are bringing in 15 unapproved cars.

Ummm.... calvintys you really have no idea what you're talking about do you? After all, you said they need a rebuild every 60k.... the car im driving around hasnt had one, but it is due for a double rebuild  Skyline will have more room, and why wouldn't it - they're a big sportscar. Any 300kw car will be a handful in most peoples hands. You need fuel for horsepower, simple as that - a well tuned rotor will be on par with a RB25 for fuel consumption. If you're worried about the anything, the standard twin turbo setup in the FD (3rd generation) 1992+ onwards was a bit unreliable with oil starvation issues. Apart from that theyre a reliable quick sexy car. Treat it well and it will treat you well. Not blindingly quick out of the box but respond very well to modification.

HELP ME! I want to buy a Commodore!
Morgs replied to 2fardown's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Ford dosen't really have anything that could compete with a LS1 in that used car price range. For all practical purposes, the SS dosen't look like a bad investment. -

Where are these statistics from? 10% of people know statistics 50% of statistics are made up on the spot Honestly, I don't think a VTii/VX SS is a bad idea. -
I'd pull out my laptop and delete this thread

Good on you for telling it as it is. -
Is this sort of advertising permitted??

Have you got the little plastic panel that goes around the gearbox shifter and up around the stereo/cig lighter/centre console? Its one piece and its black. Let me know if you do i'll pick up ASAP.

Oi, guy from Newcastle who was going to buy those tail lights... can you PM me again, I've lost your details

NZ? Don't look at overseas prices, only locally. I think $13k-17k is reasonable for a R32 GTSt, depending on condition.

I think you're jumping the gun. It will take time for Holden to make the most of it. They are only a (relatively) small company with a small development team, and 270kw is stated as the maximum power they can reliably put through the drivetrain at the current time. Given time, they'll be able to identify weak points and work on them, and develop stronger parts (which still stick in a reasonable budget for the build) and be able to increase power accordingly. The reality of it all is, with no competition with that market segment, why do Holden HAVE to do any better? They own that market atm

Calder October 10, 2003 NIZPRO BA XR6 TURBO LETS LOOSE with an 11.73 At 125.90 mph. Nizpro debuted their Acid Rush BA XR6 Turbo sedan at Calder Raceway on October 10, 2003 intent on some ‘shake down’ passes, noting that Nizpro staff were specifically interested in data logging to ensure that whatever changes that may be required, could be easily implemented in the future. Vehicle modifications consist of Nizpro’s Stage One XRT300 power-up kit (custom powder coated high-flow CNC machined inlet manifold, cast alloy thermostat housing, powder coated cast alloy rocker cover, cast alloy 100mm inlet tube, K&N pod filter, cold air-box, high-flow tube and fin intercooler with lightweight aluminium end tanks, compact dry-cell Odyssey battery and battery box), along with upgraded fuel injectors, and a MoTeC M800 ECU. For a 4-litre Ford engine that is surprisingly close to stock internally to deliver a potent 426 kilowatts through the wheels on a DynoLogic chassis dynamometer, Nizpro had also to replace the restrictive catalytic converter (in an otherwise factory exhaust system), along with a high-flow fuel pump replacing the factory item. 245mm wide Nitto road/race tyres were also fitted to an otherwise stock vehicle (including the factory turbocharger) that weighed in at 3918 pounds at an independent weight station. Traction proved a problem, as did the diff ratio that resulted in the Falcon hitting the factory imposed 5700rpm rev limiter by Calder’s 1100-foot mark. However the Nizpro team were quite happy with the information provided by the data logging, and also drove away happy with the knowledge that they had just set the fastest ever time for a BA Falcon Turbo with a respectable 11.73 @ 125.90 mph. Nizpro’s Simon Gishus stated that having established a base line, and become aware of all potential problems, that he will make specific modifications to ensure the vehicle meets or at least goes close to meeting its potential at the next outing. Using the traditional Drag Racing formula (speed over mass over distance), it showed that wheel spin and hitting the rev limit had resulted in a loss of approximately 3-4 mph off the terminal speed, with the top end charge indicative of a run perfect 10.6 second pass. Note: Further information on Nizpro’s Acid Rush sedan, their heavily improved BA XR6 Ute, or on any of the Nizpro XR6 Turbo power up kits; Contact Nizpro on 03-9761 1522.

Some people are really short sighted, but what can you expect from a Skyline forum. Why buy a Skyline, I can buy a 13BT rotor for $5K and it'll shit all over a R33 GTS25T. News flash, not everyone buys their vehicle for flat out performance. If that was the case, do you think Holden would be producing V6 Commodores? Would there still be Magnas, Camrys and Avalons? I think not. And lets not start comparing new and second hand cars, please. Last I heard R34 GTRs were selling for $150K odd new. GTST/GTT were not $30K new. Anyhow, moving right along, I say good on Holden for trying something new. It can only be a good. Perhaps in a few years they'll integrate a turbo engine in the pipeline with an all wheel drive platform. This is only the start of things for them.

r32 gtr hks dtype coilovers

How old are they Pete? -
I couldn't find them for cheaper than $300 a pair, so I think it'd be fair at around $120 for the seat. It would be difficult to freight. Needless I will take offers on all the items. MADGT4 hasn't got back to me about the suspension, so its still avaliable.

Suspension, undercarriage, engine bay.

cobo_11: Wheres this sticker? SacrifeR: Im not sure I really want to take the ashtray out, i'd rather sell the centre console complete, or hold onto it. If you still need one in a few months let me know

What we need are less bleeding heart judges who let these d1cks off with a slap on the wrist!! If you were assured of getting 10 years in the clink for carjacking, I bet the number of incidents falls !!
